Hi Adobe Friends! I'm a filmmaker, and I mainly use Premiere Pro and After Effects when working in post. Lately, Premiere has been significantly lagging on my 15'' 2019 MacBook Pro. I usually only use a few effects, maybe some transitions, and some color grading with LUTs applied, but the playback and workflow lag has pretty much made the program unusable at this point. I'm looking into buying an eGPU/graphics card for my laptop to boost playback and editing performance in Premiere (Final render times are a plus, but I'm more concerned with the actual workflow performance). Since I have a Mac, my only real option for a graphics card is AMD. From my research, it is pretty clear that Nvidia works extremely well with Premiere, and AMD doesn't do much of anything. I'm not in a place right now where I can switch over to a PC set up, and I really don't want to have to give up Adobe (as AMD seems to work with DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut significantly better)
Hi there,it´s great to be here. I am an absolut beginner with Premiere Pro.And I just intend to use it from time to time to produce short tutorial videos. Right now, I am planning to buy a new PC, and the highest technical demand to the GPU regards to Premiere Pro. I have found an official list from Adobe, whichs GPUs are regarded as suitable. Now I have spotted a PC I am interested in, but the included GPU is not in the list...The GPU is: AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200, 4 GB Does anyone can tell me if I could start my "Premiere" Adventure with this GPU?Which obstacles would I face?Certainly, if I see that the work with Premiere is very helpful for me, I could upgrade to a better GPU later.... Your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lotMatthias
Hey Adobe Community.I am not sure, how my drive setup for Premiere should be.My drives are: 500gb Nvme M.2 Samsung250gb SSD Samsung1tb SSHD (old drive for backup)1tb basic HDD (also backup) I am running OS and program on the m.2 with lots of free space.Media cache and scrach files are on my 250gb ssd, and backups are on the 2 1tb drives My doubt is, where i should keep my current project and media, on my m.2 or my normal SSD. As mentioned earlier, space is not an issue in both drives, therefore I just want the fastest outcome. Thanks for your time!
Do users still manually set virtual memory in windows with the current spec of computers these days. I am using a laptop that has 64gb ram, and trying to setup for best perofmace and stability. Using Adobe premiere, Lightroom mainly.
So this is something for all the Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) Adobe creators out there. I do most of my work from my Strix Scar II gl504gs. It's an absolute killer laptop, but it has one fatal flaw. The left fan gets unbelievably loud. It honestly feels like your laptop is trying to be a hairdryer on the side. It's incredibly annoying and after months of trouble shooting and sending it in for repairs.. I kinda lost hope. If you go to the Google and type in "ROG Fan control issue" you get an absolute tidalwave of posts. People with all sorts of different laptop models complaining about their loud as hell laptops. So.. obiviously you send the laptop back right? Wrong. Proving you have a faulty laptop means sending it in for repairs 3 times with the same complaint every time. If they can't fix it within 3 times.. you get a new laptop! But that still means you have to send it in 3 times.. and wait 15 x 3 business days for your laptop. 45 busines
Is this card compatible with Premiere Pro CC 2018 12.1.1?[Moderator note: moved to appropriate forum.]
Gday, I plan to get a RTX 3000 series as I read that it support 10 bit over HDMI. I will use it with my LG CX TV which supports 10 bit. Can anyone proof that it works? Also on all models 3060, 3070 and 3080? I want to have a full 10 bit workflow. Thanks
Hello!I'm looking to build a new computer. I video edit and animate with Adobe (Premiere, Animate, and Character Animator). Any idea if the RTX 3070 graphics card combined with Ryzen 5950X 16 core processor would be an overkill to seamlessly work with these programs in 4K? Please give me your brain juice. Show me what you got. Thanks!

Hello,I am definitely an amateur in video editing, so it is very possible I am missing something here, but I need help speeding up video exporting. Considering purchasing the new 27in Imac and I would like to know if the Radeon Pro 5500 XT with 8GB of GDDR6 memory will work with Adobe Premier Pro?
I need to use a graphics card that works well for both 3Ds Max and Premiere. It looks like only AMD Radeon PRO's are so far certified for the most recent 3Ds Max's. But Radeon PRO's don't do GPU acceleration (no CUDA )... or do they? I'm looking at a AMD Radeon PRO WX 7100.
Hey guys, So per the recommendation of a friend and what I felt was increased performance on my PC I've been editing with my files on an external SSD as well as the project files. I don't edit in proxies and I'm utilizing 4K files. I don't particularly run into playback issues at all unless I'm doing something intensive after color grading when I'm towards the end of a longer edit with a lot of key framing.Anyways with what I'm doing what is the best location for my source files I'm editing on as well as the project? Don't plan on utilizing proxies as playback is fine 99% of time even with 4K. Should I pull the files from the SD cards and leave them local and have the project on the external? Or keep them both internal? Looking for what the most efficient route. I've been lead to believe having them external won't bog down my PC as much as having the files local. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I just bought a new 2017 iMac Pro, 3ghz 10core processor, 64 gb ram, 16 gb GPU. I set the new iMac Pro up next to my 2014 5K iMac 4 ghz quad processor, 32 gb RAM, 2 gb GPU and they literally had the same exactly playback with RAM preview. The iMac pro could not even play full resolution playback. Both set to 1/3 and they both stuttered in the same places. So I'm just wondering did I waste $7,000. My projects are mostly animations with characters from high res photoshop files. Please help! Thank you!!!
Is the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti compatible with Premiere Pro? I am planning to buy a laptop having all the other required specifications for using premiere. Anybody can confirm that this graphic card is compatible with Adobe premiere ?
I have a Surfacebook 2 (Windows 10 Pro, up to date, Nvidia GTX 1050) and suddenly my PS and AI 2021 are giving me a system compatibility report upon opening that says "Unsupported Video Driver", with a "fix" link that redirects here. There is a fix for a Windows update bug there (which I think is the issue here since everything was working fine a few days ago), but the error message is different from what I'm getting. Clicking on the other option, "continue with known issues", crashes the program. When I tried to update the drivers from the Device Manager it reported that the drivers are up to date. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction since I'm clueless about drivers and I don't want to download the wrong one.
After years with CS 5.5, my computer has died and I’m trying to figure out what to get as I move to Creative Cloud on a new Microsoft-based computer. The graphics cards completely befuddle me. I see Nividia is preferred for Premiere Pro, but which? Safe Harbor computers, where I bought my last, has a default recommendation of GeForce RTX 2060. Puget Systems’ is the RTX 3070.Neither is on the Adobe list of approved items for Premiere Pro.For what it’s worth, my source material is generally H264 or Canon MXF or still photos, and I usually export to H264, though I may want to get into 4K in future. So – looking for advice on what graphics card to order. Any help greatly appreciated.
I am in the process of building a system for video editing and motion graphics on Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. My work varies between working on 4K footage and heavy motion graphics/Animation projects. What should my Ideal system build for AE and PR look like? Looking for recommendations on CPU, GPU, RAM and other components. My budget is under $2800 USD. Thanks
Just bought a new macbook pro 16 inch - top end with 2,3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9,32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB Why is it that i can’t render my projects (h.264 VBR 2 pass) with Hardware Acceleration? I mean, it follows all adobes hardware specifications?
Hi there, I am looking for some advice on which Computer build I should go with to get the most out of rendering(including previews) and exporting in Premiere and After Effects. The type of video work I do have taken a toll on After Effects in the past and had made me come to the conclusion that I need to get a new machine. I'll do some minor 3D work, OBS Streaming, and even occasinly play Minecraft(I'm such a nerd sorry haha) that is why both builds have an RTX GPU in it. Which one would be best to take advantage of Adobe's Hardware Encoding and GPU rendering? Intel Build(https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=3753347)AMD Build(https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=3753349) Thank you!
Hello, I work in graphic design at work but also have a home account for adobe products. I will be needing to purchase a new laptop for home and wonder if anyone has had great luck with any laptops. Because I am on a PC at work I would like to stay with that also at home. I run mostly photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, and Premier for my personal use. I would like to stay below $900 since it is just for home. I thought I would seek advice from the people that know! Amazon links to support suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello! I'm a newbie on video editing and computer configuration and I want to apologize for this silly question. I'm planning to buy a new laptop so I'm wondering which components are the most important for video editing? RAM, Processor, or Video card?

Hi, I want to buy a refurbished laptop with Intel Core i7-6820HQ and NVIDIA Quadro M2000M and I am wondering if Premiere Pro will work on this machine. The M2000M is listed in the compatible graphics cards herehttps://helpx.adobe.com/de/premiere-pro/user-guide.html/de/premiere-pro/system-requirements.ug.html but there are a few posts in the community which made me wonder: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/version-13-0-3-no-cuda-with-quadro-m2000/td-p/10346223 https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/premiere-pro-support-for-quadro-2000m/td-p/10918345 Can I get an official answer by Adobe support if this card is still working with the latest version of premiere pro? How are your expiriences with this card and the latest version? Thanks in advanceJon
