Hey Im planning on building  my new workstation  soon for  Editing/VFX,  let me know what you think. I have   2 routes  either the Intel i9 9900K route  or  the AMD  Threadripper 1920X or 1950X. Or should I switch to an 1080ti (maybe 2 depending on work )My previous (3-4 year old) setup was a dual 960 with i7 4720 @2.6Ghz (No OC) and 16GB ramLet me know what you think and if RT/Tensor core will be implemented into video editing/VFX

Hello Everyone. I am getting my C200, with a 512 GB PROGRADE C-fast card. I was told that the raw Files are Huge, and most likely I need an External Drive, such as G-Technology. Also, I heard about G-Technology with Thunderbold3 and USB 3. I don't know about Thunderbolt.  This Is my first Cinema Camera.  I appreciate It very much If someone is more familiar with this Camera giving me some Tips for Editing, and which External Drive you Recommend. ...a well-matched GPU is still very important to the performance of Premiere Pro. I tested my reserve i7-7700 PC with integrated graphics alone and with three recent-generation GeForce GPUs. The system is equipped with 16 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM and two SATA SSDs (one for the OS and programs and the other for everything else). QuickSync (for 14.0.4) or NVENC (for the 14.3 beta) was enabled for hardware H.264 encoding. Here are my overall PugetSystems scores with these configurations (note that I ran the 14.3 beta with the discrete GPUs but 14.0.4 with the integrated graphics): Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630:Standard Overall: 137Standard Export: 10.4Standard Live Playback: 17GPU Score: 4 GeForce GTX 1050 Ti:Standard Overall: 365Standard Export: 35.2Standard Live Playback: 37.8GPU Score: 10.9 GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB:Standard Overall: 402Standard Export: NAStandard Live Playback: NAGPU Score: NA (I know for a fact that this GPU had averaged 14.3 in this test) GeF

I have been going over pages and pages of forum posts, YT videos, and misc search results, looking for why with my new PC is hardware encoding not enabled in teh export settings. I'm new to much of this but I thought the new PC should at least render a project as fast, or faster than my 4 year old laptop. CPU is Intel 9th Gen i9-9900KGPU GeForce RTX 2070 (only GPU that shows up in the device manager and perf tab of task manager) So, I guess I'm looking for confirmation with this. If I do NOT have an Intel GPU installed, ultimately I can't use hardware encoding under the performance option, correct? Is wht it is? Thanks! Jim

Hi,My girlfriend installed Premiere Pro and After Effects on an older machine and both apps are failing to start properly. Now I am wondering what the common problem is as I haven't seen this one before:After loading, a white square window appears on top of the normals app UI. It is completely empty clicking on the X closes the apps entirely. It has however the dimensions of the "there are already 2 devices logged-in. kick one of them in order to use the app"-window. I am trying to figure out if it's a software issue or which parts of the hardware are causing this problem. I know its a very old set-up but was hoping to get the programs at least started and worry about the rendering times later ...Its a Dell XPS 8300running Windows 10Intel i7 26008GB RAMGeforce 750 Ti (latest driver, 445.87)Really hope I can get this work around the old hardware or at least get some kind of crash report.Thanks a lot in advance.

I have a Quadro K4000 on my PC, sometimes The GPU-RAM size seems to a big bottleneck when rendering after effect projects.So I am planning to upgrade my GPU. Hi there, I'm making my first custom-built PC, here are my parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BQcqyk I use all the Adobe apps, working heavily with Premiere Pro and After Effects. Any feedback on this? I'm not too sure about the video card... it seems affordable and is running the 2070 chipset from NVIDIA so I figured it is okay. I'm not looking to throw 700-800 dollars into a GPU really. I've already needed to downgrade from the Ryzen 9 to Ryzen 7 because I was planning to spend about 1600-1800 for the build, in total, and 8 cores should do fine to my current 2 cores. Also, someone recommended this motherboard instead of the one I currently have on the list: B450 Tomahawk Max, since it's a little cheaper, but then I get the following warning: "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." Should I be concerned? Thanks!

I am on a brand new laptop with Adobe Premiere 2018 and an NVIDIA GeFore GTX 1050. When I render I see the CPU go to 100% while the GPU sits idle.In the settings for Premiere I see the "Renderer" set to "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)" and I made a text file in the directory for Premiere called: "cuda_supported_cards.txt" with "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050" in it.I installed the latest drivers as well.What is missing/ wrong with this setup?thanks

My Win10 system processor (i5-9400F) does not include a GPU so when I am creating a video (H.264), I can only use software encoding and typically takes about an hour. I am trying to determine if replacing my current processor with one that includes the GPU (i.e., i5-9400), would that save me any appreciable time in creating videos. TIA-L

I'm having problems with Adobe Premiere Pro. It shows a report of incompatibility with my GPU. I spoke with NVIDIA and they told me that they're not updaitng kepler architecture GPUs anymore. How can I solve this situation? I need to use Premiere Pro on my laptop.

Ok. So I had an Intel 6 core processor and they all hit their max speed when exporting from Premiere. I upgraded to the Ryzen 3950x and my export times have not changed. The processor runs at roughly 25%. So are you saying that if I downgrade to the 12 core it will perform better?

Premiere Pro CC 2020 (along with Rush and AE) crashes when loading media.The system is brand new out of the box and features two display adapters where Intel HD Graphics 630 (no VRAM) is the lead controller and a Radeon(TM) RX Vega M GL Graphics with 4GB HBM2 Graphics Memory wich as I understand is the supplier of GPU power for among other programs Premiere. This however does not work as Premiere and the other programs that render video crash and the system locks up and needs to be restarted for another try. I found that the only thing that lets me work in Premiere is to disable one of the adapters.Results are:Disabling Intel HD Graphics 630 reduces the light strength in the panel with about 50% wich obviously is not an option. And I cannot control the brightness.Disabling Radeon(TM) RX Vega M GL robs me of 4GB VRAM and makes the Intel adapter steal fram my system RAM of 16GB which is neiter an option. Any suggestions for making these coexist? I’ve spent the last 24 hours straight trying to figure this out.  I bought a Acer Predator Helios 500 laptop literally one year ago yesterday and am now having a huge problem.  SPECS:Intel(R) Core i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHzGeForce GTX 1070Drive version 442.9216 GB Ram Whenever I try to export a 2 1/2 minute video in Premiere Pro, my laptop powers off just minutes into transcoding. No error message, no blue screen. Just powers off.  You might be thinking it’s overheating, but I’ve monitored the CPU, GPU, and System temps and all are normal. They range from 40°C to 70° max.  I’ve taken measures to prevent overheating also. I’ve undervolted by -0.100 and maxed out my fans during export. The temperature stayed around 45°C up until it crashed. Strangely enough, the CPU usage percentage concurrently would drop to around 15%, and stay there for a few minutes before the laptop shut off again.  I should note that I’m using a network drive and n

I just installed Creative Coud's Premier Pro.  I've been using the older version of Premier.  When I launched it, I got a window saying my video driver is unsupported (windows 10).  It lists intel (R) hd graphics 530.  I followed the link to download a new one, but the zip file that I downloaded doesn't have an .exe file to install.  Any suggestions?   [Personal information removed by moderator.]

I'm hoping someone can help advise a newbie like myself as to whether or not this setup will be sufficient for 4k editing on small scale projects. My biggest concern is around preview/playback latency. -I7-9700-32GB DDR4 at 2666MHz-256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (Boot) + 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s -NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR6 This is for a dell G5. After I downloaded Premiere Pro 14.0, I found that my video driver is not compatible with it. Any solution to solve this  problem? My operating system is Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 18363). After I chose "Fix", it showed a link about how to install drivers from NVIDIA. I don't know how to choose the correct driver. Actually, I have the latest version Game Ready Driver in Geforce Experience. Anyone can help me???  

How complex of a project can we do if we are running an Intel i9-9900k processor with 128GB of RAM if we ran our same setup with an 11GB 2080Ti Graphics Card? A 24GB Quadro RTX 6000? Or a 48GB RTX 8000? We plan on running 4K and 8K video and we want to do special fx Photoshop, Motion Graphics After Effects, Premiere Pro and use authorized plugins and will also be doing stop motion animation

Hi guys, my question is simple. I do not create many videos, but I like to do sometimes. Is it possible to convert video into smaller format using encoder if I buy computer with intel i3-8100? Or it is a must to use more powerful processors to work with encoder? Is it possible to work with latest version of Adobe Premiere and encoder using i3-8100 to edit 4k and if yes, then which discrete videocart I need to buy? Thank you!Sam

Hi, I'm going to buy computer with Ryzen 3 2200G or better, for ex. Ryzen 5 3400G. Will Adobe Premiere 2020 work without discrete graphics? I want to try it without buying discrete graphics to try working without built-in graphics. Will it work or I should set up discrete graphics, something like RX 550 4GB? Would be nice to save some money if Adobe Premiere will work without discrete graphics using G core of Ryzen.Help please, thank you! Sam
