Hi folks,I am in the time consuming process of shopping for a laptop that can handle video editing and basic to medium After Effects tasks (not a professional). I need something reliable but not extremly expensive.I've been eying:1. A laptop that comes with a AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.2. A laptop that comes with an Intel Core I7-9750H and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 4GB GPU.Now, I've been researching a lot and sometimes all seems clear while at other times I just don't know what to choose.Any advice is welcome. I am open to other options in regards to CPUs and GPUs as long as they are not the most expensive.What should I prioritize for my usage? CPU or GPU?Thanks,Alex

I'm looking to use Premiere Pro CC with my desktop for editting mostly 1080 footage and some 4K. My desktop specs...i7-3930k (3.8GHz) 6 cores 12 threads, 32GB of ram DDR3 800MHz, EVGA GTX 580 Graphics card.I was thinking of upgrading the graphics card to a GTX1050 ti....is this worth it or should I save my money for a whole new system? 

Hey guys, I started freelancing, doing some video editing for people here and there and I enjoy it, but I'm a little worried some of my hardware components are slowing down my workflow. I currently use Premiere Pro almost every day about 30 or 40 hours a week, and only work with and export 1080p footage. The main effects I use are Lumin presets, various blur effects and chroma keying. The videos I work on for clients are no longer than 10 minutes, and they all include 2-3 video layers, two green screen chroma-keyed layers over a background video. They also include several dozennshort audio snippets and basic text overlays. MY QUESTION IS:  What else can I do to optimize my cirrent PC for a more smooth and efficient Premiere workflow, without needing to spend +$1,000 on a 9700k, a new MOBO, OS disk, amd etc? Do I really need a 9600K/9700K etc. based on the content I'm creating, or would an M2 drive, more ram and MAYBE upgrading my 7600K to a 7700K boos

Hello! I recently had somebody build a custom PC to use with Premiere. I'm mainly a Mac user so I totally relied on their advice. Here is the system they built for me: Intel Core i5 8400 CPU @ 2.8GHz 16GB RAM64 bit based processor They said that the comp was built using the reccomended spec as stated on Adobes website. When editing footage from a Canon 80D and Sony A7III playback sometimes stutters and other times it plays back with no sound even though it is there and not muted. I sometimes feel that my MacBook Air (1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8GB RAM) performs better! Before I go back to the computer company can anybody give me some advice on what to say / ask for please? Thank you,

Hi, Before I get started I'll mention I am familar with computers, and have researched a lot of information on video editing over the last several months; however, I'm really having a hard time deciding whether I need to throw $1,700 into a FULL computer upgrade with the latest Intel/Nvidea tech available, or if my current 7600K build from a few generations back is suitable for the work I do in Premiere Pro. I recently picked up a nice side business freelancing editing videos using Premiere Pro. Hello, I am in the market for a new computer particularly for working in Adobe Animate (also Premiere and After Effects.) I believe Adobe Animate is not using dual cores when rendering. Or at least not under most conditions. Is this correct? I just want to try to make a smart purchase. Thank you!

I have extremely low CPU usage (20-25%) while rendering videos right in project. Already Tried different CPU accelerations. MacBook Pro 13 2018, macOS Mojave 10.14.5, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5,  16GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3,  Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536 MB.Premiere pro 13.1.3 (Build 42)

Could any engineers or Adobe reps clarify why Intel processors prior to the 6th generation core series would not meet the System Requirements for Premiere Pro 2019? It is because of their lack of AVX-512 support? Will version 12.1.2 be available indefinitely for those who are still running AVX-2 supported processors?

Hello all,Admittedly, this topic is actually something I'm trying to figure out whether today's graphic designers/illustrators are migrating to 4K rather than staying on 1080p. I have a mid-2010 iMac running on High Sierra and now with Creative Cloud. I do mostly print and digital work but I've been eyeing a 4K iMac or 5K iMac 27 inches for some time, so I'm very curious if any of you find any benefit to working on 4K doing digital or print based graphic design/illustration work. I'm going to need a new machine eventually with an SSD and re-install Creative Cloud as a second machine as per CC regulations allow. The reason I thought of 4K was to future proof the workflow in case a client needs 4K output and if it's print, then I assume screen resolution makes no difference let alone the DPI level for output. I cannot figure out why my video editing workstation still stutters on GH5 4K 8bit content and DJI P4Pro 4K H.264 content. I have read every Adobe Premier Pro performance tuning guide I can get my hands on and I still cannot smoothly playback and edit 4K content from these two sources.I keep throwing more hardware at the problem and it's not improving. Hi Guys,I do online Youtube maths tutorials which I record with OBS at 900p 60 fps (to capture part of my screen in 16:9 ratio) and I currently use Vegas Pro 15 to edit and and upscale to 1080p 60fps. I find with my Intel i7 4790 (which is still a powerful CPU), that rendering/exporting takes ages, like my longer exam revision videos take hours and hours.I was recommended Premiere Pro and got it yesterday and have been playing around with it and seems nice so far.I was dead set on purchasing Intel i9 9900k (8 core 16 thread) until AMD recently announced 3950x Ryzen (16 core 32 thread) for a very competitive price and I would like to ask you guys if you think the 16 core CPU would be a dramatic improvement over the i9?I know some video editing suits prefer Intel over AMD for better performance so wondering if that is the case with Premiere Pro?I will be buying nVidia RTX 2070 Super and 64gb of 3200mhz DDR4 ram which should compliment the CPU. Would you guys recommend RTX 2080 Super inst

Hi,My current PC is based on the x79 chipset socket 2011. I am looking for options to upgrade my CPU. I will be mainly using Premiere Pro and AE working with 4k footage from the Panasonic GH5. Hi,I am currently looking to upgrade my laptop and one of my main criteria is to comfortably run Premiere Pro CC (1080 and maybe 4K footage). I also will be using Lightroom+ Photoshop.My budget is quite tight so I have found the Dell Precision 3541 with the following specs:Windows 10 Pro 64 Biti5-9300H (2.4GHz)16GB RAM (1x16GB, 2666MHz DDR4 Non-ECC)M.2 256GB SATA Class 20 SSDNvidia Quadro P620 w/ 4G GDDR5Display- 15.6" FHD WVA 1920x1080This spec of laptop is at the very top limit of my budget so there isn't really any room to go any higher spec, so I am concerned that:1. As Dell Precision Laptops are more tailored for CAD work, are they not really suited to video editing on Premiere?2. The graphics card is not listed on the recommended list for Premiere Pro (although other Quadro cards are), is it suitable/ok to run Premiere Pro?I don't know a huge amount when it comes to the intricacies of graphics cards etc, so any help/advice anyone has would be great!Sam.

I'm a clueless newbie to Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud. I must summarize my saga before asking my question:I cluelessly installed PP on my old HP Envy, and was confronted with the System Compatibility Report that said my display graphics driver was not compatible, and I needed to update it.I cluelessly went hunting for what I thought was the correct update... updating other things like BIOS and other drivers in the process, before realizing that they weren't the updates referred to by PP. I finally realized the HP didn't have the update so I used the generic one provided by Intel (as suggested in the Adobe article) instead.I cluelessly wondered why my computer, which has always worked like a dream, began turning off without warning during use since those updates. Is there a list somewhere that contains compatible third-party hardware that i can use with Premiere Pro. I am trying to find a suitable video capture card that i can use with premiere. I have tried to call support but those guys are useless and don't know what i'm talking about. Any help with this would be awesome. 

I am planning to buy this new HP laptop for my younger brother who makes travel videos for his youtube channel. He often shoots videos at 60 frames per second at 1080 resolution. Although he is still in college. Therefore his daily video editing sessions do not last longer than 3 hours.
