I want to prevent Adobe from automatically opening PDF files I download from Microsoft Edge.  The suggested solution is to use CTRL+K to open Preferences and then uncheck the box titled  “Always open PDFs downloaded from the web”.  However, the screenshot below shows that this option does not exist for me at all.  Please help. 

Hey all,I am filling a PDF using Arabic alphabets. it seems fine while I am printing them, as Shown:But when I save the file, then open it, the Arabic alphabets characters I printed on the file is shown as separated characters !  I updated the software, and restarted my PC but the problem still occurs.I am using Windows 7 Professional - 64 bit  OS.Thanks in advanced,Aziz

Cuando quiero abrir un link con una información que me envían del trabajo me sale un error que dice "No se ha podido descargar el archivo. Guarde el archivo en el almacenamiento local y a continuación intente abrirlo" Qué significa eso? Antes me abrían con normalidad 

The linked pdf file was created in latex, and displays correctly (with the dark blue blackboard background) in Acrobat. However, the background disappears in Reader.https://www.motionmountain.net/Quantum_2025.pdf AI does not help.How can one solve the situation? 

Adobe funcional mal Si habro un PDF no lo puedo editar, ni siquiera puedo cerrar el programa, queda abierto y debo reiniciar la maquina para que cierre el programa y estoy pagando. Denme una solucion o lo doy de baja y busco otra aplicacion.   

Today when I try to use Adobe Reader I get a pop-up about installing Adobe Express Photos. I have a practice of never clicking on pop-ups, but I cannot close the window or use escape to close the window. The only thing I can do is go to TasK Manager and end task. How do I get rid of this annoying pop up. At this point I cannot use Adobe Reader.

I have installed Adobe acrobat reader on my Mac. When no PDF files are open, I see it automatically opens a “welcome” screen, the default page being the Recent tab. This tab contains advertisements which I don’t like so I would like to hide this tab or perhaps the whole default screen When acrobat reader launches. I have no idea how this happened, but it's the most frustrating thing when I use adobe reader primarily to read research papers that require selecting and highlighting text...my select tool has turned into a crosshair cursor and it won't change back to text selector when I hover over text. When I attempted to select with the crosshair it creates a blue box, which is no use to me. I have no idea how to change it back. I've even uninstalled the adobe reader software and reinstalled it. Is this a glitch with an update?...PLEASE HELP.

There is no option for me to change to Chinese under Language item.Can I just download the Chinese version for the Adobe Acrobat Reader direct from your website instead of Language Change afterwards to save time and effort?

All of a sudden, pdf documents that have existed for various periods of time have a little brown box superimposed over the Adobe icon and I receive a message that the document cannot be opened because it is either not a supported file type or has been damaged. The message also states that to create an Adobe PDF document, I should go to the source application and print the document to Adobe PDF. No clue what this means. There seems to be no obvious pattern in that some of these documents were converted to pdfs (by me) from Word documents, some were pdfs downloaded from different sources. The only thing that has changed was a power outage last week, but everything else appears to be unchanged. Some of these are critical documents that really need to be accessed.

I've seen this come up a few times on a google search. Literally opening a single pdf and have to wait 10-15 seconds of Not Responding before I can do anything.Running windows 11 64-bitI've tried running in administrator mode (which is annoying as you have to always press OK on the dialogue box before opening) and as others have pointed out, cannot run in compatibility mode as the options only go up to windows 8. Bizarrely, I had no problems until I upgrade to a paid version (so I could get signatures) and this is when I 1st started noticing the problem. Hey all, I'm trying to print a sewing pattern from acrobat reader, which has to be printed as tiles using the poster page sizing option. But when I go to print, the 'poster' button is greyed out and I can't click on it. I've got the latest version and everything and the file is specifically meant to be printed this way. Any advice?Thanks!

Hello community! This is my first time posting here so I don't really know too much about posting, but I need some help. I was trying to install Acrobat Reader on my Windows 7 laptop and when I ran the installer it said it was successful, however it didn't create any shortcuts on my desktop, nor my Start menu. I tried checking in program files for an Adobe folder but there was nothing. I even checked the program files x86 folder but there was no adobe folder there either. The installer never said there was an issue and since running that the laptop has gotten slower. The laptop I have is a Dell Latitude E6440 (and for anybody asking, no this is not my main computer). Please help! And in case anyone thinks I downloaded a fake installer, I went to the official Adobe.com website to download it.

I had search index file that covered about 30,000 files. Files were local but also synced to OneDrive. The index worked as expected - fantastic resource. I recently changed to another OneDrive path. Now when I try to create a new search index i seem to get a random sampling of about 5000 files. Everything builds fine - its just 5,000 of the 30,000 though. Path lengths are not signficantly different. I'm using file paths directly on the computer - not in the cloud. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Have installed Adobe Reader on my MacBook Pro 2,3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, Ventura 13.7.4. Trying to add PKCS#11 Modules so I can sign legal document. Options for "Attach module", "Detach module" and "Refresh" are in light gray color and not operative. Tried to fix the problem with support of Certilia in Croatia, but they told me that this is Adobe issue on Mac OS with latest update and quit a lot of users having same issue for apx. last 50 days. Can You help?
