When opening a pdf file in acrobat reader, it takes seconds till scrollbar is shown. It is very unconfortable to wait for it. It may be related to the new AI features. I use latest version, installed earlier this week.

When I attempt to login to Adobe to access my stored signature and initials (and other features) I can successfully navigate the login prompt in a browser, but when I return to the app it is in a frozen state. The only feedback is the error ping with every mouse click. Please assist.

Hi Everyone, I am currently Downloading PDF Files from my Gmail account to my Desktop.Up until today, I was able to Download these files no problem. Today however, everytime that a PDF Files completes downloading from Gmail to my Desktop, Adobe Acrobat Automatically Opens the file on my Computer. This is Driving me MAD! Is there any way to stop this from happening? I've attached a file that I got from a Reddit post - where other people were having this issue.It seems that in the past, that there was a check-box option in Acrobat Reader under Edit -> Preferences -> General  to turn off this annoying features. But this option is missing on my Acrobat Reader.

Is it possible to get an official response from Adobe indicating whether, after the End of Life (EOL) of Adobe Reader Classic 2020, there will be a new version under the same category (Classic) with the same update cycle, and that doesn't depend on Adobe web services for which there isn't an active contract or for which an account isn't desired? 

Hi,I need to mark multiple comments in a pdf as complete. To do this, I need to click on the 3 dots (menu) next to the comment> Set status> Completed. With over a 100 comments, this is tedious. What are the shortcut keys to do this. thanks

Hi all. I'm posting this in the hopes that it might help someone else out that may have the same symptom. Last week, my Adobe Reader stopped printing. Nothing I did produced any result. Not hitting the print icon. Not hitting CTRL+P. Not selecting "print" from the drop-down menu. There was no error message. No nothing. It was as if I hadn't clicked anything. I tried repairing the installation, no help. I've rebooted the computer many times over the last couple weeks. Here's what finally fixed it. On a whim, I went to Windows Explorer, right-clicked on the PDF file, and selected "print" from Explorers context menu. Adobe flashed open for a sec, and the document printed. Now, Adobe Reader prints as it always used to do. There must have been some little "glitch" or something going on.Problem solved. Hope this helps someone else.Artie

On our session host servers, Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version) auto updated to 2026.001.21367.  Several users are now being prompted to log into Adobe.  If they cancel, the program closes.  Users should not need credentials to use a free program.  I’ve had to change their default reader to be Edge just so they can continue to work.I’ve tried the following:!--startfragment>Disabled new acrobat To fix Adobe Reader freezing, immediately try disabling Protected Mode in Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) and unchecking "Enable Protected Mode at startup". Edit > Preferences > General 'Messages from/to Adobe' uncheck 'Show me messages when launch Adobe Acrobat' This is a common fix, but ‘Sync preferences’ is no longer an option in this latest version.Edit > Preferences Select Adobe Online Services in the categories list.Uncheck the option Sync preferences across devices and document services. I can’t imagine uninstalling/reinstalling will fix it, since it’s the lates

Hi,I have two accounts, one personal and one company account. Company account subscribe on Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro. With my personal account I started to subscribe on Lightroom yesterday.No problem til this morning. Now when I open Reader Pro I am logged in with my personal account which does’nt have a subscription on Reader Pro. Which leads to a popup window pops up right away with three options. Either you can choose to close the program, buy it, or start a trial period. I don’t want either of these, I just want to change account which is not possible before you act on some of the options in the popup window.How do I solve this problem? I want to be logged in on my personal account in Lightroom and my company account in Reader Pro on the same computer. Best regards,Therese

Guten TagIch habe jetzt mehrmals den Acrobat Reader heruntergeldanen und den dann entpackt. Dort sehe ich auch den MSI downloader. Dieser funkitioniert auch aber das problem ist das dieser noch über die ältere Version läuft. Dann habe ich einen anderen downloader probier. Der war von der neuen Version, da ist aber das problem, das er mir automatisch den PRO annimmt. Wenn ich das programm öffne heisst es dass ich mich anmelden muss und wenn ich das Fenster weg drücke schliest es mir alles. Woran könnte das liegen? I am able to download a PDF document, and fill in the form. However, when I save the document, close it, and open it again, I cannot edit anything anymore. I also cannot digitally sign any of the signature fields. When I open the document after saving and closing, I get a message that reads,"This document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available."I have another fillable PDF document that works just fine after saving and closing and does not produce the error message, and can be edited after opening again. Can anyone help me out?

I've noticed that every time one of my users gets an update for Microsoft Edge, it breaks the PDF Preview functionality through Adobe Reader. It happens for multiple users including myself. Has anyone else experienced this at all? Trying to figure out why this is happening, and if it's isolated to our environment. I've figured out that I can fix it by unregistering and re-registering the PDF Preview Handler DLL by running the following 2 commands, but I have to fix it every time Edge updates (which is pretty often). regsvr32 /s /u "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\PDFPrevHndlr.dll"regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\PDFPrevHndlr.dll"

OK, this is getting no response at all from Adobe, so I am going to ask this question again as, while one of the 2 other posts on this subject says “answered” it is NOT answered. So, I am going to open a 3rd post on this subject to see if someone at Adobe will care to comment. ALL of the links in Reader open in Edge and not the default browser (Chrome in my case). When I say all, I mean even the help links like the link I opened to get to this forum (yes, I’m in edge now just trying to get the real answer) and the one in the image below:And yes, I have tried EVERYTHING referenced in all the attempts to fix this when you Google the issue. NOTHING fixes this “bug”, but surely someone out there knows how to fix this so we can all get on with life. Thanks - John

Beim Öffnen mancher PDFs, meist extern, kommen die Fehlermeldungen Grafikfehler bzw. ArialMT Schriftart fehlt. Wie kann ich das als Admin bei meinen Usern beheben? 

As of today 10/02/2025, after doing a "quick print" from my Outlook email, the adobe app stays open and on my screen after printing. I do quick print many times a day from my email and this is so annoying and a hassle. I've checked for an update and there are none right now, must be a bug. Please fix this! Thank you

Each time i try to install a new version of Adobe Acrobat Reader i get the error message “Error 1921 Service Adobe Acrobat Update Service (AdobeARMservice) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services”.I don’t see any service called AdobeARMservice in my Services to stop.This is on my company windows 11 laptop and has been going on for about a year now hence i am stuck on version 2024.002.20895 and am constantly getting prompts to update that always fail.I raised a ticket with my company it department 9 months ago but they haven’t been able to fix it.How can i stop this error and update to the latest version please?thanks...

I tried online suggestions for clearing files in DC folder but I could not find the files that it suggested I clear.  Very frustrating.

Yes, I looked in the previous questions and there is no workaround provided even though Adobe marked the question as answered. I need to fill out the W-9 and the date section is not fillable. When I sign all it adds is my signature without a date and there does not seem to be any "Type" tool that will allow me to add a date to the date section. So how do I get a date on there? This is ridiculous. Ive now spent 30 minutes trying to add a date to the damn form supplied by the IRS. WHY? WHY? WHY? Can someone at least suggest some other software that will allow me to fill, sign and DATE the forms supplied by IRS?
