My endpoint security scanner is alerting on a high-severity heap use-after-free vulnerability, CVE-2026-45447, stemming from the embedded OpenSSL cryptographic library (PKCS7_verify() function) inside Adobe Acrobat. Our endpoint currently has Adobe Acrobat Reader Continuous Release (Version 2026.001.21691, 64-bit) installed. According to Adobe Security Bulletin APSB26-63, this update timeline addresses critical flaws, but we require verification on whether this build completely resolves the specific OpenSSL flaw, or if an additional out-of-band update is required. Please provide the exact target patch version alongside any command-line parameters needed to safely push the update across our environment.

I have installed Adobe acrobat reader on my Mac. When no PDF files are open, I see it automatically opens a “welcome” screen, the default page being the Recent tab. This tab contains advertisements which I don’t like so I would like to hide this tab or perhaps the whole default screen When acrobat reader launches. Can I find a setting to do that in the preferences? Architecture: x86_64Processor: IntelBuild: 25.1.20643.0AGM: 7.1.17CoolType: 10.0.7JP2K: 4.0.2.54782
Hi,I have tried using the assistant but it wasn’t very helpful in this instance. We have multiple RDS hosts and user will report that Adobe has crashed. It produces an error "Something went wrong - A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error". I have created a DMP file I would like to submit to support but I am unable to find how to do this.Is someone able to point me in the right direction? Or I can provide a link to the DMP file if someone on here is able to review it.TIA.Rob
I have tried several times now to install an update to Acrobat (64-bit) on my Microsoft Surface Pro. The update keeps failing with the following error" error 1402.could not open key: hkey_local_machine32\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main\featurecontrol\feature_browser_emulation This is odd for a couple of reasons:1) Internet Explorer is no longer installed on the tablet.2) When I look in REGEDIT, there is a "hkey_local_machine", but not "hkey_local_machine32".
Problem Description: I'm in "Single Page View," have "Enable Scrolling" unchecked in the View menu, but scrolling with the mousepad still jumps to the next page, unlike keyboard navigation. Steps to Reproduce:Open any PDF.Go to View > Page Display > Single Page View.Go to View > Page Display and ensure Enable Scrolling is UNCHECKED.Attempt to scroll down with the mousepad.Observe that it scrolls to the next page instead of remaining on the current page.Adobe Acrobat Version: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC | Continuous release | Version 2025.001.20467 | 64-bit.Also the "Use mouse wheel to scroll: Single page at a time" preference is no longer present in Edit > Preferences > Page Display in this version.
OnBase version 24.1.11 uses Adobe Acrobat Reader to display PDF documents. We noticed older PDF versions displayed in OnBase zooms to 170% and staff has to zoom out every time. We’ve tried changing the scaling option under General in adobe acrobat reader and setting the zoom option to fit to page or 100% under the Page Display but it doesn’t seem to work for these older PDF documents in OnBase. Is there any other way to default 100% or fit to page for all PDF documents in OnBase.
I have a few users experiencing issues with acrobat and pro. Where if I have a pdf open that is saved to the c drive. I then attempt to open a pdf from outlook it does not open a second tab with that pdf nor does it open a window with that pdf. The only thing I can see is when I have task manager open there is a instance of acrobat opening in the background processes, but no window gets created for me to see. The strange part is if I have acrobat closed then open a pdf from outlook first. I can then open any number of pdf correctly from any drive or from outlook. It only happens when the user opens a pdf from their c drive first. This issue has persisted through reinstalls of acrobat on multiple different devices. Let me know if I can provide any more information about this issue. The devices are all win 11 most recent updates installed. Most recent version of acrobat/ pro depending on the user. This is also happening on my work device although Idon't use acrobat that much

This "Ask AI Assistant" box has started popping up at the bottom of the window when viewing a PDF. It has an option to "hide for this session" but how do I turn off permanently? It's just another annoying dialog box filling up my viewing screen

When opening some PDF files stored on Onedrive, Adobe Reader (latest version) switches to the Print dialog. The PDF is not opened. If I print and save a new PDF at that point, the new PDF opens. How can this be fixed?
I have received a PDF file as an attachment to an email and can open and view and print it from within the email but when I save the file to my computer and then try to open the file I get an error message saying that CIDFont+F1 cannot be created or found. The file opens but the text is just displayed as a series of dots. I have confirmed that I am using the most current version of Adobe Reader. Any advice on what the problem might be and how to resolve would be appreciated.
Adobe Acrobat Reader has become exhausting and frustrating to use. What was once a simple PDF reader now feels like a bloated platform full of forced features, popups, banners, side panels, auto-opening windows, and promotional messages. Even when I only want to open and read a PDF, I am constantly interrupted. This is not productivity. This is distraction. There are far too many unnecessary settings and integrations that normal users never asked for. The interface is cluttered, confusing, and overloaded. Basic tasks require dismissing multiple UI elements before you can even focus on the document. The software feels intrusive. It pushes upgrades, cloud services, accounts, AI features, and other extras that have nothing to do with reading a PDF.For users who simply need a fast, quiet PDF reader, this experience is unacceptable.Right now Acrobat Reader feels closer to adware than professional software. Many people do NOT want an ecosystem. We do NOT want forced integrations. We do NOT want b
Hi Everyone, I am currently Downloading PDF Files from my Gmail account to my Desktop.Up until today, I was able to Download these files no problem. Today however, everytime that a PDF Files completes downloading from Gmail to my Desktop, Adobe Acrobat Automatically Opens the file on my Computer. This is Driving me MAD! Is there any way to stop this from happening? I've attached a file that I got from a Reddit post - where other people were having this issue. It seems that in the past, that there was a check-box option in Acrobat Reader under Edit -> Preferences -> General to turn off this annoying features. But this option is missing on my Acrobat Reader.
Is there any registry key to enable the radio box use system setting by default?

Having a hell of a time figuring out which installer to use for a 64 bit adobe reader deployment via intune win32 app. I located a good process at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVAADl2J65Y for the 32 bit version, but I cant find an offline 64 bit installer that will let me extract the MSI from it. Why is this so absurdly challenging?!
Is there a way to disable Generative AI within Adobe Acrobat Reader on Intune managed iOS and Android devices?Documentation I’ve been able to find on available App Configuration hasn’t been updated since 2023:Intune Deployments — Acrobat Mobile App DeploymentSame problem can be solved on Windows with a Regkey edit - Disable the AI Assistant on all Organization | Community
When Acrobat Pro opens, within 10 seconds a darkened background and a blank gray modal dialog/overlay appears in the center of the screen. The dialog contains no text, buttons, loading icon, or close option, and it blocks all interaction with the application. I can still see the Acrobat interface dimmed behind it.The only way to close Acrobat is through Task Manager. Restarting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat, and trying common keyboard shortcuts such as Esc, Alt+F4, Enter, and Alt+Space have not resolved the issue. The problem appears shortly after opening a PDF, or even just opening Acrobat without opening a specific PDF.I have attempted the solution offered here without success: https://community.adobe.com/questions-12/acrobat-white-box-after-install-1505692System: Windows 11. Acrobat Pro installed through Adobe Creative Cloud. Latest updates across the board.
I am only using Adobe Reader and this problem just surfaced recently (I assume it has to do with a recent update). I can open the pdf files with MS Edge OK (which I don’t want to use). The error says “something went wrong” then it says “A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error” when I try to open the pdf with Adobe Reader like I always have. It is on a WIN10 desktop. Ron
