Question

Cannot find the pdf's once I've created them. Converting from Excel to PDF invoice to send to customer

I convert my Excel generated invoices into PDF’s before sending them to my customers. I would press Create pdf, select the file to convert, it would then show on my recents screen and send a copy of the file into the same file I originally selected ? It tells me it is converting the file and will let me know when it has been completed. Never get the completed pop up. This has only started to happen recently ?

    Hi @Imaginative_makerabd6 ,

Hope youa re doing well and thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble.

Since this only started recently and previously worked fine, a few things to try, in order:

First, check your internet connection. Create PDF requires an active connection to Adobe's servers to complete the conversion, so a weak or unstable connection can leave it stuck on "converting" indefinitely without ever showing an error.

Second, sign out of the Acrobat app completely, reboot your device, then sign back in with the same Adobe ID. This clears up stuck conversion processes in a lot of cases.

Third, make sure the app itself is updated to the latest version from your app store (Google Play or the App Store), then reboot once more after updating.

Fourth, try converting a file that's saved locally on your device rather than one stored in cloud storage or a synced folder, just to rule out a location or sync issue with the source file. If it's specifically the Excel file, try creating a very simple, brand new spreadsheet with just a few cells and see if that converts successfully. If a simple file also gets stuck, that confirms it's not about the invoice file's content or complexity.

You may also try to create the PDF online here https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/tools/?group=group-create and see if that helps.

If none of these clear it up, it's worth sharing your app version, device, and OS version so we can check check it at our end.

Let us know how it goes.
