The complementary color is the one that is opposite on the color wheel, so to get its hue we need to add or subtract 180° (360/2) from the given hue. For example, the complementary of red (hue = 0) is green (hue = 180). But it seems that Adobe Color uses some different algorithm, because the complementary colors are not 180 apart in their hue. For example, when creating a complementary color scheme in Adobe Color, the complementary of red (hue = 0) is the color with hue 137. What is the logic behind this? Any insight is much appreciated!

I was reading research papers on color palettes and color harmony. Most of them cite Adobe Kuler for their data. I am a student researcher who wants to implement a research paper as part of a project, but I am unable to find Kuler API.  Kindly provide assistance.

Up until recently color themes I developed in the color wheel could be saved to my library. Yesterday I started getting this message and I am unable to save any color theme. The only option that works is to add them to swatches. This is on a personal computer, MACbook Pro. It is not part of any group, business, or network. "Saving colors to Adobe Color is disabled. Please contact your IT Administrator."

Recently my color themes are not saving? I do not have too many in the library not sure what to do? Thank you, Bonnie

Hallo, wenn ich die runtergeladenen Adobe Color-Farbpaletten in PS in der Ebene Verlaufsumsetzung mit der Farbpipette aufnehme und dann in den Verlaufsbalken einfüge, zeigt er mir im Popup-Fenster "Farbwähler (Endfarbe)" leicht andere numerische Farbwerte an als die, die in der runtergeladenen JPG-Palette stehen. Beispiel: Adobe color Farbpalette Farbe "0d2f73", in Photoshop "0d3074". Das ist natürlich wenig befriedigend, wie kommt das und wie kann man das vermeiden? Gruß, Ralf

Hi there, new to Adobe Color.Ive uploaded and image and want to save my colour palet but it is not allowing me to save."Save to" is inactive(when i click the arrow pointing down it does nothing). I can creat a new collection and write a Name, but it is about it.Do i have to pay? Or have other apps such as PS or Illustaror in order this to work?Thank you.Jana

Hello, I am a teacher with an Enterprise Adobe Account. I have many libraries listed in Adobe Color. I assume they arer student libraries because I did not create them. How can I get rid of them? They do not show up on Creative Cloud app or CC online. See screenshots. Thanks!

Hello,Anybody haveing some problems with the color wheel? Seems like degrees are not equally distributed in the HSB modeLike 1° degree in the red-yellow area is much bigger than on the rest of the wheel.... Why is that? Possible to fix?

Hello, I am using my Epson ET-2850 for sublimation printing with Hippo Sublimation Ink. I am having an issue with printing colors from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I am not sure if this is due to the printer or my settings in one of these programs. I primarily design shapes in Illustrator as CMYK and import them into Photoshop as CMYK (generally saved as PDF) for adding text or other elements, I print from Photoshop. However a lot of my colors do not come out correct and/or dull. I am using CMYK color codes when designing and I use a Hippo ICC profile, my settings are below - Epson ET-2850- Hippo ICC Profile and Ink- Paper type = Premium Matte paper ( I use the Sub A4 paper)- Color quality is set to high- Color correction is set to custom and I have tried both "No color adjustment" and "color controls" but both provide poor results- My printer is brand new, only ever had sub ink in it, print heads and nozzle tests come back fine and my screen has been calibrated&nbsp

Every time I try to add any color to my library I get this message: 'Sorry some error occured while adding theme to your library'. Any idea what's happening?

This may be implemented but I didn't see it. Would be nice to be able to slide a color along the radius, for example in triadic color scheme, without any lateral shifting or rotation induced by the mouse drag.

I've got some CMYK themes I use for my print work, but now the option has gone!

It's driving me CRAZY! I saved a color theme to my CC library. When I saved the theme to my swatches, the CMYK value changed to a completely different number on the InDesign swatch than what Adobe color has listed. When I changed the values to the CMYK value listed in Adobe color, the color became dull. My color settings profile is North American General Purpose 2.  

I have two RGB codes. Is it possible with Adobe Color to find a third one that matches?
