compatability of acrobat 5.0 with Windows 8

I have windows 8 on a new notebook and tried to load my Adobe Acrobat 5.0 from disc, it says there is a compatibility issue, what can be done?

    Hi p2ijack,

    Your Acrobat is quite old, and is not supported on your current operating system. Please see Adobe Acrobat 5 not compatible with Windows 8

    I wish I had better news for you. You may want to give Acrobat XI a try. You can download a free 30-day trial from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.
