I can no longer scan in Acrobat. I all of a sudden get an error saying rmslant.dll is missing

I keep getting an error now saying" The program can;t start because rmslant.dll is missing. from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.  I have reinstalled Acrobat but to no avail.  I am still able to scan from Paint and other programs on my computer so the scanner is working.  Any suggestions?
