Hello...

Is model/property release needed with documents signed for the pictures where face of person in the picture isn't identifiable? Like as side view?

Thank You

The rule of thumb regarding model releases is that if a person can recognize themselves in your images, a model release is required. Therefore, it is quite possible that a profile image would also even require a release.

Best is to have a release. If you are in doubt, get one.

You do not need a release, however, for hands, except if there is a tattoo or a differently recognizable mark.

It could require a release even if it is from the persons back. Read Jill's answer.

Always get a signed model release.  Otherwise don't submit it for commercial use.

Hands, feet, knees, profile shots, etc... can all be identified by the person in the shot.

Would you be happy if you saw your likeness on the side of bus or billboard ad without your permission?  Probably not.

The release protects the contributor and Stock customers from possible legal disputes later.

It might also depend on the moderator reviewing your image. Some seem more strict or cautious that others. In any case, if you submit it, and the moderator deems that a model release is required, the asset will be put in "Pending" and you can provide the release if available without having to resubmit.

Maybe! If the person is identifiable a release is needed. That can also be other characteristics, like tattoos and so fort.
