Hello,I am facing a lag in Aftereffects and I have tried to solve the matter by trying different solutions that I could find online but unfortunately the lag is still happening. If I hide mose of the layers that I am not working with then the lag reduces but the problem still persist. Any help would be appreciated.1. Updated the latest version of the GPU driver.2. Empty the disk case / clean media database, and cash 3. Memory reserved for AE 50 Gb4. Deselected Hardware Accelerate Composition Layer.I have attached screenshots of the video in sequrence to show the lag that is happening as i drag the arrow.My Specs:CPU: i7-12700GPU: AMD RX 580 8GB VramRAM: 64GBSSD: 512 GB (more than 300 GB of free space)

Pretty straightforward. We're doing VFX on a film. Some of our artists are in AE. We've sequenced all shots (Slog3) to 10bit DPX. Bring the DPX into AE. Change nothing. Render to QT4444, and there is a very slight pink/magenta tint in the footage. Not extreme, but enough to notice when a lut is applied.This bug has plagued us for years across many shows and we've gone through hoops to work around it, but I want to get to the bottom of this.The other crazy thing is that while the pink shift happens on my co-workers computer, it doesn't happen on mine, and no matter what I try I can't reproduce the bug. We have the exact same system Has anyone else experienced this?

When I press the spacebar it selects the hand tool briefly instead of playing back my preview. When changing audio settings it sometimes works again but even when it plays back my comp it is much slower and more buggy then usual. 

Is there a way to export an animation in adobe after effects as a live photo?

  I was currently working on a project that my boss sent me and noticed that my AE stock effect Fill was missing.  Not sure why it was missing in the first place.  However, installing an older version of AE (23.3) and the issue was resolved. I will stay in 23.3 until this issue has been fixed.

Hi I am animating a bar in AE. but the bar which is behind can be seen as an outline which I dnt want. I need the edges to be as crisp as possible. is there any way I can make it gone with the wind? Thnak you. 

Hey there, so i created a shape layer out of text layer.i animate some properties for each letter: Offset path 1 : amount and Transform : scale and positionnow i want to link the original text layer to apply changes (writing something else) to the shape layer While keeping the animation values.so if my original text layer was 'world' and i create a shape layer out of it, and then change the text layer to 'Peace' it will change the shape layer. is it even possible?  Thanks in advance

Hi, 1 week ago i switched from a windows to a mac laptop, but while trying to install all the adobe programs, i found an issue.  When i try to open aftereffects. it keeps giving the error:After Effects can't continue: The Common Extensibility Platform (CEP) suite couldn't be loaded. You may need to reinstall. After clicking OK, i get another error:After effects can't continue: An unexpected error has occured and After Effects will now shut down. Please check you have the appropriate permission to launch AE as wel as read/write acces to the AE preference folder. If any other error messages were displayed prior to this, please review, and resolve if possible. My laptop is an Macbook Air M2 2022. with 16GB Memory, with the latest macOS, being Sonoma 14.5 at this time. All the folder can read&write, so i don't think there's an issue there. Can anybody help me with this?

I am running into an issue with the expression slider control in AE (screenshots attached). When I export these files as a MOGRT they don't show the shape that the epression error is on. I am assuming once I fix the expression error the MOGRT should work perfectly fine in Premiere.  What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!

Is there any way to get After Effects to read this? Any way to repair it? Or troubleshooting methods? Unfortunately, I need this version of the file. I had done about a day's worth of work, and all the auto-saves give me the same error. I'm really not sure what happened. Everything worked fine, I did my renders, sent it off to the client and now a week later, it's giving me issues.

 I have a variable defined as aaa= layer.property("Source Text").value;.To avoid modifying aaaa during subsequent processing, I created another variable called bbb:var bbb = aaa;However, when I modify bbb as follows:bbb.text = ccc.text;I noticed that aaa.text gets modified as well.How can I resolve this issue?

I am an animation designer on Adobe After Effects. Recently, I designed some animated stickers and tried to export them on bodymovin, but there are many layers (animations and effects) that were not successfully exported.That is, the sticker is exported, but it is missing some layers, such as cc light sweep.When I see some Channels specialized in this field, I know that they use the same effects and their stickers are exported successfully and completely. I attached an example for the kind of stickers I saw ..  Please, I need help with this urgently..

Hello I have been using After effects 2015.3. When I was rigging my character the warning come up I tried to click ok untill it gone. After that I moved the puppet tool the program crashes and shut my computer down. It happened when I'm moving the puppet tool. I through it because of my computer RAM but I already add more RAM yesterday now I have 16 GB. My laptop window is window 10. I would like to know how can I fixed this problem?

Every time I want to make an advanced stabilization, I need to hit the "show track points" button and then manually erase the un-wanted points over time.This process is very slow and laggy.While I am trying to select the points with the lasso tool, the software just hangs up and the whole process is very cumbersome and unresponsive.Anyone else experienced that?

Hi all. I have a project that has multiple text layers, and the content of those layers is taken from a json file.I use aerender to render that composition, but for some reason every time (or at least 9 out of 10) aerender "decides" to change the font of a glyph for a few frames.So on every render I get some blinking characters that just look like those characters are rendered with a different for for a few frames.I get a blinking effects, because they are not a different font for the entire duration of the layer, but something like 10 frames correct font, 3 frames wrong font etc.This does not happen with the whole text layer, but rather one or a few characters.This does not happen on same layers/characters on each render.This does not happen on all layers, but rather on ~3-5 out of 20. I use this expression to get the content of the text layers, because each layer has the same name as its value form the json file:"eval("var src=" + footage("json.json").sourceText); Than

I get an error in an timeline in After Effects CS5.5: "After Effects error: could not allocate sound memory ( 26 :: 392 )" It locks my timeline totally, and keep popping up every time I say "Ok".Any solutions for this one?______Mac OS 10.7.3, 64GB RAM, 12-core MacPro

I made a video, out of a window, at night.  My camera has a red blinking light when its recording that reflected off of the window into my video, and I'm trying to remove the dot.  The video is about 18 minutes long, 59.94fps, 4k.  My vehicle is moving very fast so I need to preserve the 59.94 fps. I'd like to know how everyone recommends tpp handle this. I've tried contewnt aware but as I expected, it's taking forever.  I read another thread on here that talks about masking it to remove it, but I'm a little confused, since I don't understand how to enter something else into the mask. Thanks in advance.

So i have masked a clip to put a solid behind what i masked. There were a few other things i had to mask aswell on that same clip but other 2 masks dont seem to be working at all. I have never ran onto this problem with aftereffects so im not sure whats up. I posted a SS of what the problem is and as you can see it dosent make any sense at all. The white solid is covering the entire area behind what i have masked but those other two masks dont seem to be working. I have tried everything i know but nothing seems to have worked. When i invert the masks they just make the solid disappear.

So, I created a window design inside a different composition, and I want to create a size control inside the main composition. But I found a problem, when I add a keyframe in the control, the shape of the window inside the composition doesn't change, it just sticks to the value in the first keyframe.I still don't understand the expression system, so I just rely on the parent system.

Yesterday, i started to create a halloween edit. I used Element 3d and made a high quality intro for the edit, then my PC crashed, then again and did it 6 times. On the last time, i went on and went onto after effects and it said; Error with file. - This edit took 6 hours and now its gone. This is what it looked like - Today, i go onto AE, and i start the edit again. This time i do the main edit, not a problem. I start the intro and open element. Make it look nice -and it crashes a total of 3 or 4 times. On the last time, it says :So i go onto After effects, and i see this: I go onto my files, most recent save of the file was 5 mintues before it crashed, i open it and it doesn't open. Then the ones from about 2 hours before do open. but they got no useful work in. Do i need a better CPU, if so what is recommended?

Hi, am following one tutorial, the text animation there I figured out. (attached) but I dnt undertsand how did he do the verical tracking. I only find horiozontal tracking in after effects. his texts are climbing up, how did he do that. am so sad :'( . am lost. please help.   

Dear collegues, I have a proble with track matte, it is not displayed on the first line, an empty rectangle is visible, and this function is available on the second line. Tell me how to do the same as on the second line
