Is there a way to preview all the effects that come with After Effects? I know you can preview some in Bridge, but those are just the Animation Presets. Is there a way to preview the other effects like those under "Distort," like "CC Bender", "CC Blobbylize" or "CC Page Turn"? There has to be a way to preview each effect to see what it does, instead of just dragging each one manually onto an object and previewing it. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello, I would like to install the 2022 version of After Effects but I can't find it between the older version option. I can only install the 2024 and 2023 versions in the Creative Cloud app. Can you please help me install the 2022 version? Is this still possible? What are my other options if you can't install it using CC apps? Thanks for the help.I need it for creating AET templates.

Hey everyone...I'm reasonably competent with text animators, but I can't quite seem to nail what I'm looking for today, and it seems like it should be easy.I am trying to animate a few words, scaling up from zero letter by letter (with overlap), with a bit of overshoot on the scale before settling down into their final size.I've tried to do this by stacking animators. The first animator simply sets the scale to zero, the second animator scales them to about 133%, then the third animator, offset by a few frames, scales them back down to 100%. The problem with this approach is that percentages are relative to what has come before. When the first animator sets the scale to zero percent, the subsequent animators never refer back to the original size, they just work off type that is set to 0% scale and are unable to grow it beyond that. If I do a simple zero-to-133% animator (without an animator that sets the initial scale to zero), then follow that with a second animator that scales them b

Hoje me deparei com a seguinte situação. Criei 30 shape layers em 3d para rotacionarem em sequência de 12 graus até completar 360 graus. No entanto, as keyframes que rotacionam mais de 180 graus estão seguindo o trajeto mais curto, ou seja, dos 360 até qualquer valor maior que 180. Como eu posso alterar esse comportamento para que todas as layers comecem em 0?

Hello! I tried to put the echo effect on several files (.jpg, .png, psd) but it doesn't work. First I uploaded a png in AE. I moved it, put the echo effect on it and it did not work. I tried the same with a png and psd. Afterwards I precomposed the jpg, moved the composition and put the echo effect on it. Same with png and psd with no result. When I put the echo on text it works perfectly. But obviously I do something wrong. Thanks for your help!

I'm trying to create a lap timer in After effects that will show the current lap time, the best lap time prior to the current time in the video, and the last lap time current to the prior time.I'd like to do all of this via markers on the placed graphic in premiere.-Current time will be calculated based on the time difference from the current place in the animation and the previous marker.-Last time will calculate the gap between the two previous markers.-Best time will calculate the least amount of time between two markers, of all marker sets prior to the current marker.I've been fooling around with expressions, since that seems to be how Adobe lets you code things, and  thisLayer.marker does not seem to allow me to access markers on the placed layer. Hi all, I have had a weird issue with the latest version of After Effects and/or Windows. It seems like some key commands are not passing through to AE. (Windows 10 20H2 19042.572, AE 17.5.) I can toggle timeline markers by clicking shift-4 through shift-5, but shift-1 through shift-3 doesn't work anymore.  Has anyone else experienced this? Another piece of software may be highjacking the key commands. I attempted to troubleshoot that possibility but wasn't able to narrow it down.  Thoughts?

Most of the time, I just generate videos for my music using a saved template file where I replace the image and the audio. However, today, right after opening the project, After 2–3 clicks, it popped up saying that the memory was full.I really like the program, but I'm starting to worry that there might not be a laptop on the market with the performance and quality that meets the requirements and allows for dynamic work.Currently, I'm using an Asus ROG Strix Scar G18 2024 laptop with the following specs:Intel i9 14900HX (24 cores)64GB DDR5 5200MHz RAMNvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU (16GB)WD Black 2TB NVMe SSDI've had issues even before this. Yo I've been trying for quite some time to make Motion Blur as a normal effect plug-in and I want to ask if it is even possible. Can I access the layer's transforms through a normal effect plug-in? What do I need to use? I wanna make sure if it is possible or not. The only other way is making it an AEGP, right? I would like to avoid that.

So I modified the Skeleton sample plugin by adding SmartFX and by making it move the layer based on 2 parameters, X and Y, because I want to understand how to make it go out of bounds. If I set the rects like this:extra->output->result_rect = in_result.result_rect;extra->output->max_result_rect = expanded_rect;Then the expansion is not happening or whatever, because the pixels are clearly still limited by the bounds.If I set them like this:extra->output->result_rect = expanded_rect;extra->output->max_result_rect = expanded_rect; Then the effect just gets completely bugged and moves the layer to top-left. What am I missing? I have a shape layer which is my background. Then without diselecting it, I draw a triangle on top of it.Now that triangle it's a Content of the background layer. What if I want to disconnect that triangle so it's no longer a content but a new layer by it self.Is there a way to do that?

I'm developing an After Effects extension using adobe CEP, and as far as I've found so far, there is no built-in way of detecting changes in user selection i.e. - listening to events like user has selected a different composition(s)/layer(s).Beacause of that, I've created a simple workaround where I set an interval in the CEP side, and each 200ms I issue a call to ExtendScript to fetch the current user selection(by "selection" I mean compositions/layers - if any where selected), and update the panel UI accordingly.The solution above works nicely for fairly smaller projects, but for projects that contains large amount of compositions and layers, it just crashes After Effects completely.Is there any official/recommended way of acheiving that goal?

I have brought a whole bunch of PNG. I can click each one individually and align them to center one buy one. But when I select them all the align buttom won't work. Is there a way around this?
