Hello,I don't have preview of anythings in my After Effects. Test many project and nothing appear in the preview windows.System info Application: After Effects (Beta) v22.1.1.56 OS: macOS v12.0.1, RAM: 64,00 Go GB, CPUs (logical): 10
Compositions that worked in the Beta previously, are now not showing anything in the main composition window or the preview window.
L'écran de visualisation de nos médias est noir. On ne peut rien voir à ce que l'on fait, que ce soit calque de forme, média importé ou autre, rien n'est visible.
Hi in Ae Beta when I try and create a refernce frame, this happens... Any ideas? I'm running a windows version
The Word 'What' is sitting next to my Effects Controls Panel. I do have a text layer called what, probably came from there.
Good afternoon, unless I'm missing something (quite possible as it's been a long couple of days) I'm not having some essential properties created in 2021 carrying over to 2022 the same way. There used to be a dial down arrow saying "Essential Properties" when you look at the layer properites. I had it set up so that when you did dial down the EP you could modify the source text of a layer by right clicking "edit value" and enter in the new text in the following window. I'm not seeing that anywhere in 2022. Has anyone else run into this? - Rob
Ran into a bug where a ProRes 444 file's single color comes out as black and white. Specifically, an orange color comes out to black and white while grey text in the video remains grey. Some glitchy artifacting also appears when viewing at a lower preview resolution that isn't seen when I view the same file within AE on my intel iMac. System info Application: After Effects (Beta) v22.1.1.23 OS: macOS v11.6.0, RAM: 16.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 8
I can't use anymore Element 3D, Saber, Keylight and a lot more plugins on AE. Even when I'm opening a project using those plugins, it doesn't work and all the effects are disabled. I see an error message that say there isn't enough storage left on my disk : what's false. I don't know how to fix this, is there someone who know what I can do.
cmd shift d - split layer does not work you need a better bug reporting system in your beta - going to your forum is a bad solve.
I have a comp, let's call it "Comp 1". I have a lot of expressions in there which include "thisComp", eg. thisComp.layer("matte1").transform.anchorPointIf I then rename my comp to "Comp 2", I get an error (including the orange box saying "This project contains expression errors") saying "Comp 1 is missing or does not exist" or similar, even though I'd never explicity used "Comp1 " in the expression - just "thisComp". If I then just click through each expression (by clicking on the magnifying glass in the orange warning banner), the errors go away, without me having to change anything. So AE knows that they're not real errors, but just takes some encouragement to get its head around the concept.
Hello, If I open aftereffects project do my work and put computer to sleep, after waking up RAM preview doesn't play. I have attached an image - in preview window it shows that it's playing, but video is static, nothing is playing. There is the same issue when Windows has been locked, after ulock I launch RAM preview, but it doesn't play. This bug is since version 18 or maybe even earlier, it's annoying, that so many versions of AE has this bug. To get rid of it, I have to restart aftereffects. Thanks!
I have a long render, and about 10% in it slows from 50% cpu down to about 10% and just stays there. Build 22.1. Lot's of UHD footage. All effects turned off (just making a pre-render).
Is it possible that media replacement can work with the audio in that media which is being replaced? Maybe I'm missing something but how could we approach this situation: For instance, we have video clip number one (of a variable length), which has a complex transition built in after effects, that goes to clip 2, which is also of variable length and can also be replaced. Instead of a protected in & out region, you kind of create a protected 'center' region, which is the AE transition, and the in & out is the footage itself in Premiere. Now, for even a simple positional slide-in of footage to match my wipe animation from AE, I'd have to use an extra adjustment layer in Premiere, matching the speed of my mogrt.
AE Version: 18.2.0 (Build 11) Reproduction Steps:- Make a tiny composition (e.g. 16x16).- Add a source where each pixel is distinct from its neighbours (e.g. random noise).- Zoom in so that each composition pixel is shown very large.- Pan the viewer until either the top edge, left edge, or both, are outside the bounds of the viewer. Expected Result:Preview continues to pan smoothly. Actual Result:Preview moves in a stepped fashion. Additional Notes:This issue does not occur on the release version of After Effects that I tested with (18.0.1 Build 1). Elements that don't exist as part of the composition itself, but are instead overlaid on top (such as bounding boxes, position indicators, shape/mask paths, title/action safe, the box drawn by CC Power Pin, the ground plane and viewcube on CC Particle World, etc) do not move in a stepped fashion.
Hello, first time I do this so sorry if I anything wrong. Here is my system: MacBook Pro (16 pouces, 2019)OS Catalina 10.15.7Processor 2,3 GHz Intel Core i9 8 cœursMemory 16 Go 2667 MHz DDR4Graphics AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GoIntel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MoSerait number C02F7202MD6N With AE 2022 et AME 2022, I couldn't export rendering to AME I think it is a Dynamic Link Server problem. (5027 § 12) I dowloaded the Beta versions of AE and AME and it works. Thank you,Flavien

Creating my own individual workspaces in a 2 or 3 monitor setup slows down the UI extremely. In After Effects and in Premiere Pro, too. It's been around for a while and nothing gets done... What can I do to help?
If I set the 'loop options' to play once, then start playback of a comp from halfway throught the comp, when it reaches the end of the comp, playback loops back to the start and playback then continues (with audio muted for no reason) until playback reaches the point where playback started. So there are two bugs here:1. Playback should stop at the end of the comp, regardless of where the CTI was when playback was initiated. This is important because in many situations, when someone views the final exported movie, it will pause on the endframe. We need to be able to replicate this experience when watching a comp preview/playback in AE.2. If playback does (as is currently the - wrong - case), audio should not mute when playback loops back to the start of the comp.
Rendering in AE Beta 22.1.0 (Build 24) on Windows 10. When exporting, After Effects incurs errors about not being able to find a series of .aecache files. Interestingly, it's always 5 errors per render. In this case, there were three files rendered, so 15 errors. Sometimes the render fails, sometimes it completes with logged errors.
I'm working on an insane comp that's intentionally slowmo for 3 hours with many neseted comps, it would be nice to not have to context-shift into a top level time-remapped comp that's only used to preview the inner comp at a much higher framerate/skipped frames. Plus, I assume time-remap encours some cost in preview rendering. My comp's animated motion is so slow, in order to get the big picture, I need to constantly preview at super high skip. That requires constant switching to the containing comp, and that switch makes the Adobe Cache DB churn for a while instead of just hitting the RAM/cache drive instantly. Feels very sluggish compared to just hitting preview.
Since today's update, I cannot play back comps in AE at all. Pressing spacebar (and I haven't changed any settings in the Preview panel) or clicking the play icon in the Preview panel does nothing other than change the Preview panel's 'play' icon to the 'playing' icon. I can scrub through the comp fine, with no delay at all - I have a full green bar across the duration of the comp. It happens in any comps, even really simple ones (eg. one, very simple .ai logo with a slow zoom over 10 secs in a 1920x1080 25fps comp). I've tried turning the Disk Cache off and on, and emptied it - it makes no difference. Quitting and restarting AE cures it, only for the problem to reappear some time later. I'm on the latest Beta AE (22.1.0x9) and my graphics drivers are up to date.
Since the last couple of Beta releases of AE (I'm currently on 22.1.0 Build 46), exporting via Media Encoder is very unreliable - usually, the comp appears in Media Encoder, but if I click on the settings to tweak them, the usual "Dyanmic Link Connection - Connecting to project..." alert pops up, but nothing happens, even on a very, very simple project. I've currently just sent a simple comp to Media Encoder, clicked the settings, and the striped bar in the 'Connecting to project' box is moving, but my CPU and disks are idle - nothing happening at all. If I then click Cancel, then close ME, I get the "Sorry an error occurred" crash report pop up for Media Encoder.
We are excited to announce that AE Beta 22.0.0.98 is now ready, including updates to the Cinema 4D installer, the Cinema 4D Comp renderer, and version 4.0 of the Cineware plugin by Maxon. Both Cineware and the Cinema 4D Comp renderer have a simplified engine configuration and will now launch faster. Cinema 4D version R24 is required and is included in the AE 22 installation. Please jump in and test out the new Cinema 4D components! We’d love to hear your feedback on how it is working for you, especially in tandem with other new features in the beta such as Multi-Frame Rendering and Speculative Preview. Thanks!
Today, we are excited to announce a new feature in After Effects called the Composition Profiler. The Composition Profiler is visible through a new timeline column, Render Time, that allows you to see how long each layer, mask, layer style, expression and effect took to render for your current frame. You can enable the Composition Profiler by clicking the snail in the lower left section of the timeline to show the Render Time column. You'll also notice the time taken to render the whole frame is now shown in the footer. You can also right click on the Timeline window column headings and choose Render Time. To help you get started with the Composition Profiler we've put together the attached PDF documentation. Please check it out! We'd love to hear your feedback and what you learn about your compositions! Thanks, Sean
Today I got an AE message that I’ve never seen before. Is this related to the “Collapse Transformations” switch? What exactly does it mean and do? thank you.
