I've been using adobe animate for about a week now and every day it seems to be getting worse and worse performance. I have recently installed 32gb of RAM on top of my prior 16gb, and found that the program tries to use about 40gb of ram for a file that isn't even over a kb in size. It doesn't feel right to me, but I don't care if the startup is weird if the program runs normal after, but it lags and struggles to do just about anything in the program (including sometimes freezing my whole computer). My CPU is a 6-core processor with a speed of 3.7GHz, which surpasses the system requirements as far as my understanding, so what am I missing? What could be causing this program to behave in this way?

Hi everyone.So I use animate all the time without issues, designing for google HTML5 banners. However, today I have been working on some banners, and it will not let me change the publish path for the javascript. Seemingly, I can choose the JPG export path, but nothing else. No matter where I choose to publish, it just wont do it and defaults to a random place. Only time it will work is with no path selected, so "300x250.js" this has happened before but seemed to fix itself.I have tried using an old version, but get the same issues!HELP! 🙂

I get this message when trying to play animation in browser: WARNINGS: ** 36 Bitmaps packed successfully into 2 spritesheet(s). Frame numbers in EaselJS start at 0 instead of 1. For example, this affects gotoAndStop and gotoAndPlay calls. (36) Motion tweens are published as frame by frame animations. Use classic tweens where possible. (7) I've read that this genrally means nothing is wrong but how do i fix this? It still won't let me play my animation in my browser.

I’m developing an iOS App on my Mac using Animate 24 and AID SDK 50.2.3.8. Everything went well - until I made the mistake to Upgrade vom macOS 13.1 to macOS 14.1.1I’ve created all new Certificates and Profiles and everything SHOULD be working as smoothly as before - but now I can no longer install the App via Xcode on my Test-Devices (iPad Pro 11 iOS 17.0.3 and iPhone 13 mini iOS 17.1.1)When I try to install the App via Xcode 15.0.1 I’m getting this Error Message immediately:Error installing '/Users/…./Appe.ipa', ERROR: Error Domain=com.apple.dt.CoreDeviceError Code=3002 "Failed to install the app on the device." I'd like to create a symbol and apply different text to each instance of the symbol:  Is this possible? I prefer just applying a property, without being required to use ActionScript.

How can I list all the local users configured on a windows machine (Win10+) using AS3.I would prefer doing this without using any other third party programming languages if possible.Preferable some native method to Animate CC.

In previous versions of Animate, in both AS3 and Canvas documents, JPEGs in the library would allow you to choose to choose between either using the imported JPEG data, or a custom compression setting for publishing.Granted, Canvas documents seemed to always ignore the request to use imported data and would instead republish them using a quality of apparently around 80%. This was annoying, but provided reasonably-sized output files. Now in the last couple of updates, instead of properly fixing this, Adobe has apparently made the problem even worse. Instead of fixing the inability to publish imported JPEGs from Canvas documents, that option has been removed entirely and replaced with "Use best qualty: 100". This causes simply republishing old pages in the current version to generate MASSIVELY larger files. Nobody in their right mind ever uses 100 quality for JPEG. If you want quality that high, you just switch to PNG. If they'd changed this option to something like "Use global

Hi there!I'm sure this topic go through many apps, not only Animate.Many time I receive layouts with many empty layers and of course I delete them, but there also are inbetween some non empty layers, so I have to select one by one in order to delete them.So, is there a way to delete empty layers automatically in Animate?Thanks in advance!

I've tried a million things and can't get this sound to play either from the "test" menu item or from a local server.I have previewed the sound in Animate and it plays, it's a 128kb MP3, and I've tried on Mac Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. Adobe Edge Animate... I know it is old... but it is still the best HTML5 authoring program around (way better than Google Web Designer)... I have a lot of projects built in it... and since I upgraded my CC sub... it no longer loads... I get the spinning wheel and "Please wait a moment"? HEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!?

Hello, simply, after installing Animate, it crashes on Loading Document Templates. I have tried v23 and v24, tried all the steps for the app crashing, deleted old folders, reinstalled, reinstalled GPU driver. Here's the crash report:https://pastebin.com/Ps9VtcyZ

So basically I'm trying to see if i can put a line in the middle of a shape I drew so I can cut the outside portition of the eye cause I know that if I do this righ the shape split by the line will count as two different shapes that I can select independtly from each other and delete one without affecting the other (since i've done this before) but when I try to do it now the shape instead just deletes the section of line tht it overlaps and I want to know if it's a settings I got to turn on or something I messed up (the pupil was drawn with the oval tool and the eye was also drawn with the ovaltool with a bit of help of the line tool used to make the top flat part)

I was browsing the internet trying to find a way to convert .swf files into .mp4 or .mov files. The only answers I was finding were how to convert using various other softwares besides the Adobe Creative Suite. I discovered that After Effects could perform this task.How to convert an .swf file into a .mov or .mp4 file:1. Open up After Effects and import the .swf file.    - File > Import > Import File > (Choose .swf file)2. Drag the .swf file into your Render queue, or send it through the tabs    - Composition - Add to Render Queue3. Attempting to go through a tutorial asking for an asset. No assets are visable.  I have the Assets tab open I can click on Default or Custom and go through the list but nothing is available. I'm getting the message "No matching assets found!"

Hey all,Im having an error where on save animate says unknown error; quiting application. I've looked through other forum posts but I couldnt resolve the issue. I have reinstalled, installed in different locations, deleted preferences and installed different versions but nothing seems to work. Any help would be very appreciated 

I have upgraded my CS4 to CS5 on MAC OSX and i'm having problems saving new and existing fla files. It doesnt always do it but it's very anoying when you have done some work and are unable to save it.I get this message:unable to save document as (file name)please try saving to a different filename or location.even if i try to save as to a different location i get the same message, this ONLY happens in flash CS5 and does not do it on any other application or even flash CS4. To put it bluntly i am absolutely furious with this and when you pay this amount of money should not get this hassle for such a simple action.I have tried phoneing the adobe support line and it's a joke, you can't even understand the operator to even get anywhere and i just gave up having to repeat myself and asking them to repeat themselves.I would be grateful if someone out there knows an answer to this or have a contact email for adobe support that i can email them direct. Hi everyone,I'm new to Adobe Animate. And just noticed that there's a new Animate version, namely 24.I'm not sure what this means: "This release of Animate runs natively on the apple silicon chipsets.."Does that mean that running it on a regular Intel CPU will come with disadvantages, or even problems?

The poster asked if a keyboard shortcut could be given to the "swap color" tool on Adobe Flash (Animate). Suppose I have a symbol my, and I copy two copies, both of which come from the symbol my. Now I can find the current symbol I selected through the symbol my in the library, but I cannot select the symbol my copy1 or my copy2.For multiple copies of symbol my, is there a way for jsfl to find and select cpoy1 or cpoy2?In addition, I did not layer these three symbols. They were all placed on one layer. I wanted to find copies of them to edit, which was very difficult.I think if you layer the symbol you can find it, but finding it on one layer is difficult, and the copy of the symbol doesn't have any information for reference.Please help, thank you all
