Questions

I haven't tried this with audio, but with plain animation, the animation just speeds up to (my guess) 25 fps. I set it as 14. I exported it, and it exports as 25 fps. I can tell since when I watch it in the program, it's 14 fps. When I watch the mov, it's waaaay faster than 14 fps. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's adobe. Thanks for any help.

Hi, what I need to do is animate in sync with a video, where the person in the video flips a switch then the switch in the animation also goes up, with multiple different switches. So I would essentially need to see each frame of the video so I can create and/or slide keyframes to line up with those specific points in the video. However whenever I import a video into Animate, it doesn't let me view it frame by frame as I scrub across the timeline. Is there a way I could import the video that would allow me to view it frame by frame in the timeline so I can line my animation up to it? Or do I have to time my animation to each time stamp in the video then put them together in Premiere? Thanks!

As we know Flash and SWFs have a long and rich history.  It also has a very bitter end.  The amount of hostility and miss information about Flash and SWFs online is staggering. As a professional user of Adobe Animate I have an invested interest in making clients comfortable with their content being created on Adobe Animate rather than Adobe After Effects. I believe that one HUGE stumbling block is down to the simple fact that the files are called. .FLA and .SWF. This creates a lot of hostility and the need to explain a lot. It would be amazing for users and the brand in general if we could change these file names.  For example: Adobe Animate.Working file names .an (eg myProject.an)And publishing file name .anim or something similar. Has Adobe considered this? It would be a very small change that would make a HUGE difference. I’d love to get thoughts on this. m 

Hi everyone!I have an html5 canvas app with around 346 images (165mb).I know its a lot of images for an app... The reason is that the app simulates a 3D environment on which, when you scroll left or right, you walk trough that environment as if it was a FPS game. So I made a path on the 3D modelling software, exported the walking animation and exported all the jpg's (total of 266) that make that animation. Then I made the "scrolling" feature on animate.I've already compressed the bigger JPG's and I cant make them any smaller without noticeably losing a lot of quality.The issue is that the app is really, really slow to load online when I publish it to the server.It takes almost a minute the first time it pre-loads. I was wondering if there's any way to optimize it or any tips on how I can better achieve this effect?Thank you for your attention!

I tried everything installing old versions reinstalling changing seeting changing preferences everything I just can't get audio to work while animating I can hear while testing the video please help

Hello again people. When I create a shape tween with two abnormal shapes, the tween doesnt have the arrow pointing right at the end, it used to have it and every time I do it, it doesn't work, if you ask for a video, I will gladly supply it.Thanks, Animatrr

Hello! I have been using Adobe aniamte for a couple months now and have been looking at tips on how to improve. But then I came a cross this kind of symbol, it seems to tell and represent the time it was created, I don't know if it's an extension or plugin, or if you need another adobe app to do this. Its been bothering me ever since and made me not want to animate because most of my symbols would be "symbol 1, 2, etc". If anyone knows how to get those kind of symbols, I'd be glad to listen, either way, I'm stuck.Thanks. 

So, I have two lines. I want to connect the end anchor points of each line to join them According to this,https://helpx.adobe.com/si/animate/using/drawing-pen-tool.htmlthe open circle on the pen tool means I can join the paths. But it isn't working. I attached a video showing the issue.First, the points just don't joinThen doing the same action again, the points do join this time. But then the anchor points further down are suddenly disconnected. Am I doing something wrong? How do you ACTUALLY join two lines without weird side effects?

To start off, i've tried exporting my audio files into .wav, 44100hz, 16 bit files and setting it to stream when importing into my stage. I've made sure I am on ActionScript and not HTML 5. I've checked if my audio was muted. I checked my xbox gamebar cause I saw a post on here about that as well. I've reinstalled Animate, tried multiple versions, tried disabling every input and output that weren't my headphones, checked inside Animate to see if the app was muted in Control > Mute Sounds, but still I have no sound. I tried to see if maybe it was just my audio file, but no, even the CC Sound Clips previews under the Assets panel are not outputting any sound. I feel like I'm running at a wall and I want to Lip Sync this project because it is my first and I am still learning but can't proceed until I have audio. Thank you if you have read this far. Not sure if I need to attatch files so I'll wait until asked.

HiI'm making some HTML5 games for my school and a couple of them are hanging on the preloader when I try to open them. I've gone into the console for Chrome and Safari and found that they're having a problem with 'AdobeAn' in Chrome and 'AnMovieClip' in Safari. Another version of this game (made with different dimensions) opens fine. Any idea what the problem might be?Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to get a jsfl script to run in Animate 23.0.2 through Run Command... that will publish all open files. The script I'm using is below. My problem is that it only will publish the open tab file, but it does it in every open file's directory. im working on a pac-man game in flash 8, using actionscript 2.0, i need pac-man to only move in a certain area, i also need pac-man to move forever when a key is only pressed, not holding the key i also need pac-man to move to the direction when he gets to an area where you can make the direction (example: pac-man is about to move to the left, that has an open area for pac-man to go up, when i press the up key before pac-man enters the area, pac-man will go up when he reaches a wall and go up) i also need pac-man to stop moving when he goes to a wall, but still be able to control pac-man like this:(the yellow square is pac-man, the orange stuff is the area)

Hello. I'm creating a new Html5 canvas doc with Animate, everything is good with the first publish. When I update something or add a new element and publish it again, HTML and JS files are not updated at all, I need to close the file and open it again to publish and see my changes. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi !  I can't anymore publish or test my projects in Animate. "Control > Clear" cache and test or "Publish" : nothing is happening. Neither Sfari nor Google opens 😕😕 Anyone's got an idea ? Thanks a lot ! 

Preamble:I loved Flash since Macromedia introduced it. And AIR was IMHO the best runtime since a very long time. It was super fast, stable and slim when it came to filesizes, memory handling, garbage collecting etc. But since the death of Flash and the sale of AIR there also died most of the Flash/AIR ecosystem. We might all switched to some other (HTML5) engines but the need for animations and good animation tools never went away which leds me to the following quesion:Why isn't Adobe seizing this opportunity?So why not realigning the good animation features to new frameworks? Why not targeting the webdevs when it comes to new tutorials? Adobe leaves the door completely open for other tools like Google Webdesigner. Lottie, Rive ... you name it. BUT WHY? I noticed this page was recently updated, showing Adobe Animate runs natively on Apple Silicon chips.  However, this doesn't actually seem to be the case, as the latest version of Animate is still 23.0.2, which was released back in May.  Is a new release in the works?  Did someone jump the gun and update that page too soon, or was it a mistake?

Hello, my Animate was updated from the 2019 version to the 2021 version yesterday and now the pen pressure doesn't work anymore even when the button is activated.When I switch to "WinTab" under "properties > drawing" the pen pressure works but then the tablet switches to pen-mode when I only use it in mouse-mode.Can anyone help?I have a Wacom Intuos 3 (old but gold) and Windows 10

The Adobe Animate program closes itself when I open the action palette. Whether I open an older file or create a new file. I'm using the latest version, but I've already reverted to an older version, but it did the same thing. What could be the problem?

I made a project in Animate. Just photos and an MP3 song. When I play it in Animate everything is fine.But when I play the exported .mov file the sound quality is very bad. It was meant for YouTube but it's unusable with the sound that bad. Can anyone help please?
