The mask layer doesn't have the lines reveal the layer behind the mask for some reason. I put some pictures here to show the problem:  Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

i'm making a shooting game i need a timer that counts down and then when it gets to 0 it goes to a certain frame. Ive been trying to animate without that happening, But i guess i turned it on cuz it seemed ok and more easy to manage, but WELP! Guess theres no reversal card for this. Anyone know how i can get this out of this option?

So i downloaded a sprite of a character and I have to seperate every frame and make them into symbols so I can start using it, but the best way to do so is the lasso tool and my hand is not very precise, which allows useless space to enter the symbol and it kinda affects the animating process. How can I remove easily that useless space? Is there a better technique to use so I can seperate the sprite easier and better?

Version: Adobe Animate 23.0.2 Hi everyone, I use swatches very often in my animations because I use a lot of gradients in my work and need to reuse them often. Normally I would export my swatches as a "Animate Color Table File" using the "Save Colors" button in the sandwich menu in the Swatches tab. Then I would click "Replace Colors" (add colors usually works also) and the saved swatches would appear in my new project. However, now, I am still able to create and export swatches but I cannot import them into my project! I click the file I want and literally nothing happens, no message appears, it just closes the file select window. I have tried rolling back to an older version of Adobe Animate but it isn't working (unless I go really far back into the past but I don't want to do that!!) This is really important to me and I need to get this fixed, does anyone know how to fix this or is anyone else having a similar issue? Thank you!!

I started with the " Walk animation " hands on tutorial. i modified it a bit . Works as expected. Added a motion tween to the Background as explained in the tutorial. It all works as expected. So far so good. I then added a static image,  School_girl_side  ( as can be seen in the attached image) . Linked the static image to the background. It appears like the boy is walking towards the girl. Still working as expected . At this stage, i wanted to animate the School girl frame by frame while the rest remained the same. So on the School_girl_side "layer" , i did the "Convert to frame by frame Animation" and selected the option " Keyframe every fourth frame" . at this point if i move the girl to a new position in a particular frame, she remains in the original postion in the other frames, but at the new position in that particular frame where i moved her. But if i move/alter parts of her , her eyes or mouth in one single frame, the changes get applied to all frames. i also tried

Error initializing Java runtime environment. You may need to reinstall animate. Please help, I already changed jvj.ini, reinstalled jre and animate, but this error still appears. Help me please!

I've been searching around for solutions to this, including looking at other people having the same issues here.It seems like setting compression to "Raw" can solve this.  I have a .wav imported and only Default and MP3 compression options are available from Library > right click wav > properties.Raw is greyed out.  How can I make it not greyed out so I can select it for compression, so that I can finally export this field without it sounds really bad.  Thank you.

Does anyone know if there's an actual helpcenter where Adobe people work  or are we left with a community wth tons of other user? I want to express how much Animate sucks A55 ..It doesn't save my project properly and I have started over probably 5 times doing the same scenes over again. It's also lagging and I have a maxed out computer with  3090 GPU 24GB Vram and 128 GB ram, i9 processor.. So it's prety obvious that the problem is not hardware related. Done a lot of updates in hopes for improvement but NO... Nothing.. I almost feel like I'm entitled to get refunds for the past three months since I've lost time that I can't make up for... So if anyone knows where I can reach Adobe I would be grateful. Each time I try to reach out I end up in a forum...

Ive got a problem with  Abobe Animate. If I use the camera in my document, the test film and Export wont be correct. I have the newest versions of my operating system and adobe animate.What could be the reason for this and how can I fix it?Thanks for your help 🙂

 Whenever I draw lines, the strokes shift to the left a little and vanish in some cases. I had to redraw part of the 'H' in the above gif as an example. Does anyone know how to fix this?I use a Mac OS X and a Watcom Cintiq 16. This problem does not show up in any other program (photoshop, illustrator...) aside from animate. I'm using the latest version 21.0.4. I also recently uninstalled and redownloaded the Watcom driver, but the problem persists.  

Hi, my brush strokes have been shifting ever so slightly when I draw. I have no idea why this has suddenly started to happen. It's worrisome because I've seen several posts about my issue, but most have gone unsolved. This issue only exists in Animate for me. I've read only one solution to this and that was that my Windows display settings might not be at 100%, but it is. I can't continue my project like this, so this is a big issue for me! Hi! I'm a beginner in using Animate. I'm not sure how to word this out, but is there a way to color only affecting the line art? If Photoshop has Alpha Lock/Lock Transparent Pixels, does Animate also have that feature? Below is an example. Art is done by me on Photoshop.

Sorry for the long storyI have a gigantic issue with how Animate works or rather doesn't work as expected on my M1 Macbook Pro. I created a talking narrator character with lip sync. This character appears throughout all my projects. I try to explain this the best I can.   I have 19 separate training videos all using the same main character, the narrator.  The narrator's head moves side to side as he talks, so the narrator is set up in 3 parts; (see screenshots)Each time it is used, the symbols are duplicated and the correct audio is used.1. The main container2. the head symbol (this layer contains the side to side movement)3. the mouth symbol (lip sync layer) For the most part, this works as expected. However, there are some instances where the lip sync lags when played on the main timeline. When played on the lip sync symbol, it's fine. This happens randomly throughout my project. But it mainly happens on the same section of the audio of 5 seperate files. Its where

I have seen a lot of compaints about Adobe Animatie CC running slow on a Mac and I have the same problem. I found out that if I use Animate on my 2016 MacBook Pro Retina screen the playback is slow (almost not usable) but if I hook the same MacBook to a 2560 x 1440 pixels monitor and use Animate on that monitor (native resolution) it runs smoothly. Again, on the same MacBook... 😐 Also a strange thing is when I slide through the timeline on the retina screen with the frame slider, it does run smooth and handles an even higher framerate, but if I just play the animation (square video 1080x1080 30fps) the preview is horrible and runs at maybe 15 or 20 fps.My conclusion: Animate CC is not optimized for Retina screens (where the resolution is technically not native) and since these complaints have been around for years it seems like Adobe just doesn't care. Not a happy customer.

Hello,I am currently making a presentation where I need to use the left and right arrow keys to navigate movie clips. Everything seems to be working fine with the exception of the left arrow key. Here is my code. This code is on frame 35 inside a movie clip. This movie clip is on Scene1, frame 3. The left key (37) will take the user back to Scene1, frame 2. The right key (39) will take the user to frame 36 on this movie clip.stop(); stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, fl_KeyboardDownHandler); function fl_KeyboardDownHandler(event:KeyboardEvent){ if (event.keyCode == 37){ MovieClip(parent).gotoAndStop(2); } else if (event.keyCode == 39){ gotoAndPlay(36); } }This seems to work fine. However, when I have another action further down the timeline of this movie clip, the left key still wants to go to Scene 1, frame 2 and not to a frame within the movie clip. Here on frame 55 in the movie clip, the left key should take the user to frame 35 and the right key to frame 56

does Adobe sell legacy versions of adobe animate? i want to know since i really want the old verions like flash 8 and cs3 to 4.
