Hi, I've recorded a .wav clip at my school using their adobe audition, emailed it to myself to edit at home using my adobe audition (via my adobe premium pro subscription) however the .wav file doesn't seem to load into my library, when I drag and drop, a new tab opens to just play the file. Any pointes?

Hello!I am looking for an answer to the following question:I have a music track, I don't like the middle part, I would like to cut it out, and connect the beginning and the end of the track with a smooth mix.The volume of the first part of the track gradually decreases, and at the same time, the volume of the last part of the track gradually increases. Like DJs at a nonstop performance.Can this be done using Adobe Audition 2024?What VST plugins are there that can accomplish this task?I am using Adobe Audition 2024. 24.00.46. Windows 10 x 64

Is there any way to stretch (or compress) a portion of a file in multitrack view? Here is my scenario.  I have 2 files in multitrack view of the same song, but from different sources. I want to be able to adjust the end of a portion of the track so that the 2 files start at end at the same points. I have to edit the entire track in segments since there are speed variations within the track. Doing this in the multitrack editor will allow me to exactly align them if I can adjust the length of the segment I have selected. Is this possible? I am using the current version of Audition.

A new release of Adobe Audition. And you can have any Appearance you want so long as it is a shade of black.Adobe are still not listening. Some of us have a hard time seeing and working with dark colours on the screen.Why is there still no light coloured option or options for Appearance? FrustratedRob

I've spent many hours talking to Adobe AU tech support, but sadly, I have not had any luck with them. I'm working on a large-scale project where all the audio is edited in AU, and then all the streams/tracks are bounced down to a server. While in the editing process, we need AU to follow the timecode from the video servers so the playhead in AU follows the time of the video playing back.  It could also be the case that I could output a specific time from AU so that the video servers follow the AU playhead.  This has been possible in all other DAWs I've worked in ProTools, Logic, etc, but can't seem to get any external timecode into my AU projects. I'm using the latest AU on MacOS.  Tom

Hello all,  I'm new to Audition. Using Version 25.0.0.47 on a Macbook Air M3. I'm experiencing the following issue:  When I'm playing back audio waveform in Waveform view, I click to a location on the waveform, and instead of the playhead jumping there instantly, a second "dotted line" playhead appears.  If I click in the time counter above the waveform, then the playhead does jump to the location I choose. But I also want this to happen if I click on the waveform itself.   What am I doing wrong? What do I need to check/fix in order to get the playhead to simply jump to where I click it on the waveform, instead of creating that second "ghost" playhead?   (**screenshot attached for reference) 

Hi, I contacted adobe support over the phone and asked if adobe audition has become more accessible to screen readers. They said that in the latest version, audition has become quite a bit more accessible to screen readers. This is not the case, I downloaded the latest version from creative cloud, and adobe audition works extremely poorly for screen readers. Buttons are not labeled, sliders are not standard windows screen reader sliders, I can not change settings also further. Adobe musttighten up and fix this for real, because this is not on the skåj!

hiI have accidentally undocked the Toolbar - no idea how this happened - so it became a floating panel.When I tried to redock it, it was added to my panel group as a chunky panel. In the original position it was in one horozontal row  just below the menu bar which is where and how I want it. This is really ennoying and disrupting my workflow, so could someone please advise how can I return my toolbar to its original place and display - short of resetting my whole workspace to the default. thanks

Hello, I noticed a few days ago that my Clip tab stopped working. I try clicking on any of the functionalities, and the application doesn't respond. The File, Edit, and Effects tabs are functional, but the Clip tab is no longer working. In the video below (screen recorded), I attempt to click on the functions with the mouse, but nothing works. Any tips?

I hope you don't mind me asking a non Adobe question. In my day ( many years a go) as a production sound mixer, the main format for sharing projects between different people was the analogue 24 track tape. What is now the required format for project interchange now everything is digital?

At some point in the timeline, the video reference is no longer visible in the video monitor window (it shows black) when it is in playback, and it only shows the image when it is in stop. This makes it impossible for me to check the sync correctly. Can you please help me to fix this issue?

In response to customer demand, we are currently working to create macOS-compliant versions of our Adobe Audition AMIO plugins for our WideOrbit Automation for Radio product. (We have had Windows versions for many years.) We are trying to test the macOS version of our plugin on the macOS version of Audition, but not yet getting the results we'd hoped.  I'm hoping someone here can answer the following questions for me, please, because my previous contact inside Adobe has departed. AMIO PLUGINSOur WideOrbit Read and WideOrbit Write AMIO plugins read/write our metadata into audio files during Open and Save operations. Every so often (8 times out of 10) when I leave Audition with my project open and then come back to it - it FREEZES.Not only that - but every click anywhere in it switches the window to another open app on my PC (Windows 64), often closing or opening applications. ANY app.What is  going on here??The only way to fix it is to shut is down hard from  the Task Manager - which creates problems, and if there is file not saved - all my editing changes will be gone when I reopen it. Does anyone know  what is causing this? Please help as this persistent bug is driving me insane.  

Hello everybody,As I wrote in the title, I need to remove a vocal part from a movie's dialogue cause i need to start a dubbing session.I know that there's a function called Center Channel Extractor or Voice Remover but I'm not able to keep background sounds, that is what I really need.So, remove vocals keeping bg sounds. I think that Center Channel Extractor and Voice Remover are too "hard" tools.Some month ago i found a nice tutorial on Youtube but I think that the page was removed 😞Any suggestion?My Audition version is CC2014thnx a lot

WHEN I TRY TO RECORD THE RECORDING COMES OUT REALLY LOW BECAUSE THE METER IS GOING UP IT IS LIKE IT HAS A COMPRESSION ON THE TRACK WHEN THERE ARE NO EFFECTS. THE WORKERS DON'T KNOW THEIR JOB THEY ARE NO HELP AT ALL AND I PAY FOR THEIR HELP BUT DO NOT GET IT 

For all that's holy in the world, can someone please tell me how to turn off all Essential Sound tagging/effects in Audition for my entire project? My editor updated Premiere and it tagged EVERYTHING. No matter what she does in Premiere (right clicking and "removing attributes"), it still shows up in Audition with all this crazy essential sound stuff. I'm not going to go into what an awful idea "essential sound" is to begin with here... *sigh*

What am I doing wrong? Also why won't it allow me to export to media encoder? I tried changing my output. Both are focusrite. I have all the clips highlighted. I put markers but unlike premier pro I can't seem to figure out how to make a beginning and end to export so I just selected all the clips but that doesn't seem to work either.   

Both Audition25 and Audition24.6.3 are stuck on "Initializing AUBackend". This is deeply frustrating as I have one task to do before I move on to others, and this problem is preventing that.  I've tried shutting my PC down and restarting it and nothing seems to work. Aaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I am working with Audition CC2020 on an iMac.  I had all my files properly located on my local HD Documents folder.  But yesterday, trying to fix a sync issue with my calendar, I closed and restarted the iCloud.  I was marginally aware of the Mac iCloud app resetting itself but I was laser-focused on my Audition project.When I went to save a session, Audition came up with a warning -- "the folder no longer exists."  I checked, and sure enough -- no local documents folder.  Horrors.I realized that iCloud had relocated ALL my documents -- including my Adobe folder -- to the Cloud, where I know Audition cannot find it.    I have been here before.  I specifically set up my HD so that the local documents folder contained ONLY the Adobe folder -- which has grown quite large, filling up more than 300 gb of my 500gb internal HD.    Everything else I set for the Cloud to upload.  Now, it has grabbed my Adobe folder as well.I was able t

hi guys, I wonder if someone can help me out? I have a sound file of a cardiac monitor, going from normal beeps to a flatline, and I now need to change it to normal beeps into flatline and then back to recovery - normal beeps. i thought if I could invert the sounds, ie reverse it I could stitch both segments together to get a beep beep beep.. flatline.. beep beep beep sound which is what I am trying to achieve. However, I realise I dont know how to do this. any pointers would be massively appreciated... I am using audition on a Windows 11 Business machine, with 64 GB iof RAM. Audition version 25.0.0.47, the macghuine is fully patched, masnaged by our IT departmenrt.    Thanks Sanj

Hello everyone, im exporting some FLAC files and im having an issue. I have some distortion going on but its just when i use this format (i used WAV and MP3 for the same song and got no problems)Specificly the project is:-The song with the mastering chain (and limiter) in one track and-Intro/outro which is made of two tracks that goes to a bus, nothing of this goes further -9db.Everything, the song and the bus, goes to the mix chanel (everything in 0 here).Im working in a 48k 32float session. When i export  i use 44k1 32float plus FLAC 24bitWhen i export the song + the intro, you can see that in the first 5 seconds there are some peaks that are above 0db and i would understand the distortionNow if i export just the song without the intro the wave looks like this, nothing goes above 0 furthermore nothing goes -1 (i set the limiter of the song in -1db)Something very similar happens at the end of the song where the outro apears (is the same track as the intro) there are some peaks th

I've edited several song sessions. 100+ files. All of them make a click/popping noise at least once in the track. The click/pop is very loud. It sounds like a glitch/error. It ruins the track. Sometimes the spots of the clicks change. Meaning sometimes they export fine. Other times they happen on an entirely different location of the song. I've noticed I can fix some of them by declipping even if the vocal isn't clipping. Same with using a limiter. Is there a reason for these clicks/pops? The files aren't coming anywhere close to red/clipping.But they sound like very tiny spikes of clipping.  Are there solutions to this problem?

I get it that mastering Adobe Audition is a steep and long learning curve - but nothing is more confusing and frustrating than conflicting / contradictory advice from experts on the same issue.1. Device Class: MME or ASIO?Adobe Audition online Manual strongly recommends ASIO for Windows.  Then on this and other forums I have seen advice to the contrary - forget ASIO use MME only - for a number of technical issues with ASIO. I have been using MME from the start, but when changed to ASIO just to see what happens, it asked me to open the external settings - which apparently I don't have on my computer. Is this something I need to download and install l first?  I am more concerned by the difference of opinion, by the way. 2. Input and output:  which one is recommended: System Default OR the speaker and mic I use?  Again, I have seen both recommendations excluding the other. yes, I can  of course try every possible combination and

I am relativly new the the Adobe Audition, but i'v been having 2 issues I can't seem to figure out. The first is when I import a video to "edit audio to video" it doesn't import the entire file, it's always missing a piece. I'v tried multiple time with the same file that is not corrupt and is only 9min long, yet every time it cuts it at a different part, it even cut a section from the beggining of the clip at one point.Besides that issue, when trying to edit the audio and watch the video at the same time, the video doesn't ctually play, if I pause and resume it will play for just 2seconds and freeze, so I can't actually check if the video and audio are lined up correctly. Has anyone had these issues before? or does someone know how to fix these issues?also I can't figure out how to export in Mono, all the tutorials ive watched don't work, I converted my track from stereo to mono on the waveform, but when exporting it only gives me the option of stereo

I edit podcasts on audition. When I use a wired mouse at my office I have zero issues. Ocassionally I edit from my laptop at home. My setup at home has a wireless mouse. This causes a weird function I cannot seem to get rid of. I select a track in the multitrack editor, then if my mouse is over the track, it momentairly makes my mouse cursor look like a double select tool. The arrows are slightly overlapped; one is black and one is white. If I click when the mouse is in this function it duplicates the track under itself. The issue I am having is that I do a lot of selecting of everything to the right and moving it to the left. If I click too quickly, I end up making a copy of the track and have to ctl+z. For the life of me I cannot find this tool anywhere or how to disable it. Any help would be amazing.
