First thought updating Bridge to latest software was the issue, then after updating to latest version of Bridge yesteday the problem persist. The content I want to view in Bridge is on my desktop and not loading and the wheel keeps spinning.
TL;DR: Scrolling in Bridge 2025 (15.0) is still laggy, but Bridge 12.0.4 still works way better. It astounds me that Adobe has yet to fix this. It's been years. I've tried every trick in the book and scoured the internet for anything. Opening the same two folders of raw images Bridge 2022 (12.0.4) will scroll like a breeze while Bridge 15.0 will be unbearbly laggy. This is insanely frustrating as newer versions of bridge have a couple quality of life features which I enjoy but need to keep myself on an older version to simply browse files without going insane. Adobe needs to fix this. When Windows Explorer can scroll and preview raw images faster than Bridge, you know Adobe really messed up.
I am converting CR3 images to tif with only optics corrections. Can anyone tell me why the file size goes from 51MB to 256 Thanks
The scrolling in the keyword-list and in the thumbnail view in Bridge 2024 is much slower (and therefore worse) than in Bridge 2022.Scrolling using Mouse Wheel in Windows 11 is factor 3 or 4 times slower.Where in 2022 about 0.8 of a thumbnail height was scrolled with one wheel tick - it's in 2024 less than 0.2 of a thumb's height.Same in keyword list. Is the scrolling adjustable in Bridge 2024? Please resolve this bug!
Hi everyone,I hope you can help on an issue I can't seem to solve. I updated Bridge yesterday to 15.1.0.635. Since then all of my file ratings, file names have disappeared from the filmstrip panel. The rating and filename appear in the preview window; if files are stacked in the filmstrip the file name, rating and label show on each file in the stack; Files that have been given a label will show the label and rating only and not the file name in the filmstrip; all other files with just file names and a rating don't show the information. I have purged the cache and I can confirm that thumbnails only is not enabled. I am stumped and hope that someone here has an answer to this issue or is it a bug in the update?Any advice gratefully received, many thanks.
After installing Bridge 12.0, when I access a folder of images (that have been culled originally from photo mechanic version 6), the images flicker like mad (including xmp files) on the screen (see file attached) making it unusable. I reverted back to the previous edition of Bridge and the flickering/bug went but Adobe has now forced me to have the latest Bridge 12.0 and the problem has returned. Please can I have some assistance from someone? I would normally just run off the old Bridge but it wont work unless it has the latest update. I hope I can find help here. I am disspaointed that is no live chat or way of speaking specifically to someone from Adobe, like a helpdesk or chat. Thank you in advance for any help. Kind regards, Jennifer
When this is technically the only way to import from a hard drive and the application is not doing it, it can be a very frustrating process. I tried finding the answer with youtube tutorials, allowing permissions, AI answers, searching for updates with CC, googling and yet 0 results!
I have a fully paid yearly subscription to Bridge, P/S, Lighroom/ Lightroom CC, etc. When traveling, I had message, unable to use Bridge, unable to use P/S or other Adobe Products as I did not have access to internet and program required new log in. It had worked day before and then would not load next day. Often in area where internet is not available or very limited - will not connect due to weak signal. How do I avoid this problem - Thanks
All newer versions of bridge from 2023 to present are laggy as heck. Borderline unusable. These would be versions 13.0 through 14.x. Scrolling and filtering take forever, it doesn't matter if you're working on an SSD, hard drive, external drive, or NAS. It's all just as laggy. No trick in the book sees any improvement. Bridge doesn't care that I gave it a huge cache on an SSD for thumbnails. Still laggs just as bad as default. Solution: Install Bridge 2022, aka version 12.0.4. All the lag suddenly goes away. I can scroll through a NAS folder of 1,300 raw images like butter. Adobe seriously needs to figure their stuff out because this is unacceptable. You're telling me a multibillion dollar company can't figure out how to scroll files when their old version could? If they ever remove version 12.0.4 from the creative cloud install files, our entire workflow is completely screwed.
Dear folks in the Bridge team! It's beyond understanding how you don't realize, these versions of Bridge are a big failure!? It's like an early beta version. But already 2 years in beta... Compared to version 12, the newer versions have numerous bugs, the UI is almost non-responsive, etc. The overall feel of the software is like a bunch of libraries put together in a hurry, by a student.Annoying things:- The window often misses the clicks. Yes, clicking in the window, too often does nothing. Tested on multiple computers. (I have to connect this bug with the annoying sticky hand tool bug where the mouse button release is missed, making the hand tool and the lasso tool unusable in photoshop, and Lightroom Classic is affected as well with this sticky hand tool).- Scrolling is painfully slow, to the point of unusable. I see, the scrollbars were reinvented, just to break the things, because there are absolutely no benefits having some super minimalist fancy scrollbars. Instead of fixin
Today I updated Bridge to 2025. I was using 2022 because of the newly introduced features were too annoying.I am very-very sad to experience this SLOOOOOW scrolling speed in EVERY list. This must be some bad taste or lack of understanding among the devs... I tried these:- Folders- Images- Preferences -> File type associations- Preferences -> MetadataIt seems that in every list one scrolling (a half wheel) scrolls around 2 lines of text which is infuriating. Yet the scrollbars are thin, grabbing with the mouse is another challenge. All these contribute to render these new versions of Bridge counterproductive. Instead of focusing on their work, users are annoyed by these problems which are working well in every other software.Dear devs, there are some bad default settings in your scrollbar component. This bad setting propagates everywhere, in every list. Just make scrolling 3x faster. by default Please, look at browsers, Windows Explorer, or any other image viewer software an
Version 14.0.0 which is fine works. Version 14.1.0the problem is that when I select any photo while browsing photos, I always wait at least 1 second in the preview for the image to focus. (rendered).
Scrolling in the Content pane stalls in details, thumbnail, and list view. Display a folder with a few hundred items. Click and drag from the first item down so the list dynamically scrolls. At some point (usually with just a few dozen items selected), the scrolling will stop and the list will not scroll any further, thus limiting the number of items that can be selected. Reproduced on both Mac and Windows, repeatedly. It does happen occasionally on Bridge 12 but not nearly as often and only when selecting hundreds or more items. Scrolling is also much faster in Bridge 12 than 15 beta.
After the loupe is active in an image, using the arrow keys to select subsequent images makes the loupe disappear (after moving a couple images ahead or behind first image). It seems related to if the image has to "load," the loupe disappears. Note the little message in the preview says, "loading" the loupe disappears. See attached video of the problem.
I just uograded via Adobe Cloud. I can edit in ACR through Photoshop 24 but not through Bridge 13.0. I have Bridge 12.0.3 installed and it allows editing in ACR, but Bridge 13.0 does not. Photoshop 24.0 is installed and I am logged in to my Adobe account. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and rebooting. Could Bridge 13 be lookiing for the qualifying llicense in the wrong locaton?
It only opens from photoshop but not from opening bridge
Hello Adobe community!I am managing and sorting alot of images through my photography sport activity, and usually use Lightroom classic to sort and stack images. Unfortunatly Lightroom is very slow probably due the quantity of files to manage.I am using in Lightroom classic the function auto-stack by capture time to help me as a first step to group the files taken in continuous mode. I would like to use Bridge (faster) to sort my pictures out before starting my editing work, but I can't find that function into it which is annoying, plus if I do an auto-stack in Lightroom Classic I wont find my sorting in bridge to complete the sorting work.Anyone could help me on that topic? May be by switch from Lightroom and Bridge with their different functionnalities?Otherwise that would be interesting for Adobe to include the auto-stack function from Lightroom Classic into Bridge as it is supposed to be the application to organise your files more than Lightroom.ThanksBert
HiIs there a portable version of Adobe Bridge?Any version year is OK.For 64-bit.
Is there a way to add bit dept to the top column.Filtering and metada is cool, but would be nice to see the bit depth, as we work with lots of 32, 16s and 8s. cheers
Zooming in ACR is perfect, so why is it so cumbersome in Bridge, it is same-author program package, and it is in Bridge that I need the perfect zoom function, as thát is where the selection process happen....?In ACR, You can in the settings set the default zooming to for instance 400%, which is perfect in terms of checking whether the image is actually 100% sharp, NOT THE LEAST because it zoom in exactly where You click, however in Bridge, it zoom to 100 percent, somewhere in the vicinity of where You clicked, and it is for one thing VERY cumbersome to drag the image - bit for bit - to the eye that You for instance want to check, if it didn't zoom in exactly where You clicked (which it doesn't do 8 out of 10 times), and likewise it is also quite difficult to get it to the 400%, or whatever level You want to get to, as it more or less zoom in and out frantically (exactly this may be a matter of mouse sensitivity though, however, unlike ACR, it is not possble to preset a zoomlevel in the
The "maximize current panel" shortcut (` key) doesn't work on QWERTZ (German) keyboards and likely on most non-English keyboards as well. Those who don't have an English keyboard with version 13 lose Tab to Hide and get locked out of the Subwindow magnification feature too (I saw no other way to run this command). The issue, obviously, could get solved with editable keyboard shortcuts: A feature Bridge users have been asking for, since day one.I already posted this as a comment in another thread, but I thought I should give it a thread on its own. Maybe someone from the Bridge Team reads this feedback right after the major release.
Hi, I can't seem to get Camera Raw to work with my new MacBook Pro. The internet has told me to try different things, but I might be too big of an idiot to understand what to do. I have attached screenshots of why I can't change settings or delete a file I don't seem to have. Any help would be much appreciated.
SorryIt started working - No need for assistance
The folders are just showing as the folder icon which makes it difficult to gauge at a glance which folders are empty.Bridge ↑vsFile explorer ↓(yes they're not the same location).
Not getting DDS previews. Tried copying Intel Textureworks and Nvdia DDS plugins from photoshop to Bridge but still no previews. Is this the state of things? Or am i missing something. Thx.
