Hello, I need to export all the metadata from a library of images to a comma delimited txt file which will then be loaded into mysql. Does anyone know of a bridge script that will do this ? thanks kindly for any help.
i just create a 'Image Processor Outter Mode.jsx' script for photoshop and copy to ../photoshop cs3/presets/scripts/ folder. i can see the menu item list in photoshop file->script->.but can't find it in the bridge cs3 menu. in bridge cs3 tools->photoshop. it only list the default script, image processor for example.i'm plan to search files in bridge and run all the result files with the new jsx. anybody can help me ?thanks.
For some jobs my workflow ideally involves manually sorting the order of a batch of RAW files in Bridge (the RAW file names are as assigned by the camera) and then using a PS Action from Bridge to convert, save, and rename the batch of files. I want to end up with my image files sequentially numbered in the manually sorted order. However, my PS Action automatically processes the files in ascending order of their RAW file names and therefore my manually assigned file order in Bridge is lost.Is there a script (or other method) which will allow me to run a PS action from Bridge on a batch of files while keeping the manually sorted order for the purposes of the numbering sequence of the renamed output files? My current workaround is to Batch Rename in Bridge a copied set of RAW files as an intermediate step to running my PS Action on the renamed RAW file copies. It's not a bad workaround but if there is an easier way, I would much appreciate knowing about it!Geoff
Hi,i know there exists some scripts which can be run in Photoshop for example (inside CS) and get the selected files inside bridge.but i want to write a program (let say with Delphi, or .Net or ....) and i need to get the list of the file(s) which are selected in Bridge, so i don't think that i can use those existing scripts since my programs is running outside of the CS world.does some one know a how ?!Thanks,
I installed Design Premium CS5 last week and tried Bridge today. It worked fine and then suddenly whenever I open it, I keep getting this window. I close the window, but it appears again after a few seconds. I can still use Bridge, but the window won't go away.
Hi, gang.Any chance there exists a script to auto-locate an image whereby a geographic place name entered as a keyword/tag/label can be shown on Google Maps? I've seen websites that show such locations, but I can't tell whether they've been manually entered or auto-entered.Thanks!
Hi, folks.I have my RAW files in one folder and my derivative images (e.g., PSDs, TIFFs, JPEGs) in another. The derivative files only share the last four digits of the RAW file names (e.g., the RAW file is named 100826-14278.CR2 but the JPEG version is only named 4278.JPG). Also, the derivative files have no metadata. Is there a way to use a script to match all the derivatives to the RAW files based on the last four digits, then change their file names to match the RAW names. And, if that's possible, can Bridge then cascade the metadata minus the camera data EXIF from the RAW files to the derivative files?Thanks!-GregP.S. My knowledge of scripting stops with cursive handwriting, so please be gentle.
Hi,I am trying to create a script for saving a copy of a eps file. Here is what I did:/*Read the files name from a list.txt fileCreate the ./folder with the file name without extension if it does not exist. If eps extension from the list copy the file in the created folder. If jpg, resize the jpg accordingly to the user input and save the high quality jpg in the folder.*/#target bridgeif (BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge"){ var menu2 = MenuElement.create( "command", "Microstock", "at the end of Tools"); menu2.onSelect = function () { filesFromList(); } }// AMEND PATH TO SUIT! if(!fichiers.exists){ alert("List.txt does not exit " + fichiers); return; }var agency = "";var base = "C:/Users/Jean/Pictures/";var myFolder = prompt("Nom du myFolder", "ACCEPTED-EPS");var microstock = prompt("Longueur de l'image à créer?", 250); switch(microstock){ case: 400 agency = "..."; default: agency = "iStock"; }var fichiers
hello, you guys have any clue what is wrong here.. I created a web gallery using Bridge CS4 but the uploaded files came out blank. When I use Bridge CS3 to create and upload my web gallery it is okay. When I view the HTML file locally, it loads fine. it is only when I upload the file to the server that creates this blank page issue.
Hi,I need a script that instruct Bridge to Switch to a color Preset.I have no problem using AS but Dictionary os Bridge don't have support to AS but only can invoke Javascript.Somebody has an example about how to set Bridge (and Sync automatically all other Adobe APP) choosing a Color Preset name?Stefano
I'm working with a script to assign a string (in this case, the color of the product in the image) to the description field in the image's metadata. It would save time on the layout side by taking advantage of InDesign's live caption capabilities. I'm processing the selections with a for loop, and the script will either work, or return an error: "XMP Exception: LFA_Close: FSCloseFork failure" I can't reliably duplicate the error, sometimes I can process all the images, and other times it errors out after the first one. Does anyone have a description of the error, and/or any suggestions on how to fix it?Using Bridge CS5-Sfunction writecolortodescription(colorway,myimage){// adds the colorway name to the "Description" field in the metadata to take advantage of InDesign CS5's live caption features.// borrowed heavily from a script by Paul Riggott (adobe forums)loadXMPLib(); var thumb = new Thumbnail(myimage); if(thumb.hasMetadata){ &n
Hello,I'm looking for a script for copying the filename of a tiff to the description in that same file's iptc, with a couple of contextual changes to the name. Those changes are:replace any = with :replace any * with /add the prefix "CMS:"So here's an example:inputfilename: 87*37=6.tifdescription:outputfilename: 87*37=6.tifdescription: CMS:87/37:6I had a script that did some of these things for a while, but it was quite slow and I don't know how to rewrite it.Thank you in advance for any help,Lewis

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone might have a suggestion for me: All our product images are named with a 9-digit ID number. All the item numbers and product information (name, color, gender, category, view, etc.) are stored in an Excel workbook for each photoshoot. Typically, we generate a list of keywords from the excel doc (using applescript), then import that list into Bridge before manually assigning keywords to each image. This seems like a perfect opportunity for automation. Is it possible for Bridge to open the Excel doc, find the cell with the name of the image, and assign the associated keywords from the same row? seems easy enough, but I'm not sure where to start.-S
HiI'm trying to connect CS3 Bridge to my Order Management Database.Using the examples I'm able to create a Tabbed Palette and show myPHP Page called from the Webserver.I would like to achive the following: Once the user opens a folder, the folder name which includes the ordernumbershould be send to the HTML page and thru jQuery Ajax call to the server. The Page will then show the order information.Once the user clicks on one of the rating stars the filename & rating should alsobe sent to the HTML page and the page will send it to the server to add the picture to the order. Similar is he deletes the stars. Is that possible? If now what is possible?I'm not so into application scripting, can you provide me further examples for that?(I'm just looking for examples how to send the folder name, filename and rating to the HTML page. The rest is not a big deal)Thanks a lot!Philipp
Hi -- We have many users at our company who need to edit metadata in images (primarily jpegs, but some tifs). These users do not have access to Photoshop but do have access to Bridge.I have written a script in Bridge that opens a dialog window for them to edit certain metadata. It is accessed through the tools menu. The problem is I need to further automate the process but am unsure what the capabilities of Bridge are. What I would like to try to do:Currently the user would need to open Bridge, select the item (or drag the item onto the Bridge shorcut) and choose the script from the tools menu. Would there be any way to automate this further, maybe through some sort of folder action, or a trigger when the user drags a file onto the shortcut. Or is there anyway to assign shortcut keys in Bridge to Scripts? Also, is there anyway to script Bridge so that the files will be copied (and renamed) to a specific folder (again, without photoshop)?Any ideas would be appreciated. I have not used Brid
Hello. I have a simple script that I would like to modify to rename the images sequentially as they are processed. If anyone can give me a hint how to rewritevar saveFile = new File(docPath+'/'+targetName+'.jpg');tovar saveFile = new File(docPath+'/'+'MyStaticText' + Two Digit Serial Number +'.jpg');I would really appreciate the help. Here is the full original script:///#target photoshop/// Save for Webshow/// Set JPGquailty. HiI am attempting to shave off a few hours from my workflow and because I'm new to Bridge I'm unsure how to do this. I'm pretty sure anyone out there with a small working knowledge of Bridge or CS3 could help me.I am attempting to open three instances of the same RAW file into CS3 from Bridge. The three instances, although the same image, need to go through CameraRaw and change the exposure. One normally exposed, one +2 exposure and one -2 exposure. As you may have worked out I am attempting a pseudo-hdr effect with the one RAW file. How do I, with just one click, open the file three times, change the exposure each time, and then save the differently exposed files as tiffs? If it's ImageProcessor that I need to use then I'll admit I can't quite work out the rules for doing this!Any help gratefully received.
Hi, in my script I am trying to read the Date and Time using the XMP functions of a selected file in bridge. Then, I want to convert that date and time into a format that looks like: "01/12/10 | 01:23 PM" and write that to another metadata field like the description. Im stuck on trying to convert the date and time into what I want it to look like? Can anyone help, thanks! Here is the part of the code I'm having trouble with:When I read the dateTimeOriginal property of the file, it is in an unfriendly format. It looks odd and shows the time zone. The commented lines is code that I have tried, but didn't work. I was trying to convert the XMPDateTime object into a Date object so I can adjust the format, but I haven't been successful.var myXmpFile = new XMPFile( selectedFile.fsName, XMPConst.UNKNOWN, XMPConst.OPEN_FOR_UPDATE); var myXmp = myXmpFile.getXMP(); &
I would like to use HTTPConnection object to send a jpeg file in my javascript plugin. But I don't know how to do. Where can I find a example? Thx
I have gone through about 1000 photos and batch renamed them. During this process I made sure that the "Preserve File Name" check box was turned on. My ultimate goal is to somehow take the preserved file name and put it into a normal metadata field (i.e. Keywords). Right now, it exists under the "Raw Data" tab in the file info panel. There is a script that is floating around that will copy the current file name to the "Keywords" metadata. However, I would like to access the Preserved File Name. Anyone have any thoughts on this or somewhere I can look for a script that will do this? I have a feeling this isn't the first time someone has tried to do this, but I have yet to find any scripts or posts that deal with this specifically.
