Merci de me renseigner si possible
When I go to Crop & Expand the default setting now has the Generative Expand box open and the geometry Box closed, I know I can open it but I have to repeat that step with every bloody image I open when opening images individually. I can’t get rid of Generative Expand and Anamorphic two less useful items that I now have to click through. The continues urge to update software that works perfectly well and add functionality that very few people ever want or need in order to charge exorbitant fees is getting out of hand. Adobe seems to urge people to change to Affinity, Capture One or others. I am paying for 26 programs of which I use about 6, the others I subsidise it appears. You clearly don’t use the software yourself. The question is WHY??
Cropping an image (sometimes some border parts are transparent pixels ) : when generative development sub-panel is rolled down(”generate” button lit in blue) generate fill starts automatically and it fails; when rolled up (“generate” button not visible), it doesn't automatically start. Seriously Adobe? Is this a software we pay money for? Please @adobe stop giving us meaningless new versions; we prefer tools that actually work to flashy Firefly options.
In Camera Raw, there are eye icons next to masks and adjustment panels. Toggling them on or off reveals or hides the changes. When I press an eye icon to hide, it almost immediately and automatically switches back to visible. If I try clicking it a lot and holding it, I may get it to stay off, but then I get the oppsite issue--I can't get it to stay on . How do I make it so that the eye icon does not automatically toggle back to on immediately after I turn it off? I can't find the setting for this anywhere. Is there some kind of trick I am not aware of?
Please can someone explain the changes to the crop tool in Camera Raw (18.3)?When using the gemoetry options I cannot crop to the edge of the image no matter what I do - this was no problem before. When the crop area is maximised, the crop tool no longer drags the cropped area, it only draws a new area to crop. This is incredibly frustrating. Please can someone tell me how to get the legacy crop tool back? This wasn’t included in any “What’s New” content I have seen.
This post applies to Adobe Camera Raw plug-in. Adobe Camera Raw team is sharing an early look of our new Reflection Removal feature, which removes reflections caused by plate glass surfaces from photos. Note: The feature currently only works on raw photos. Support for JPEGs & HEICs is added in the April 24 Update. There is a known issue on some Windows machines where the feature may produce a corrupt image. We are working on a fix for the upcoming release. Check out HelpX for more detailed usage information. For more technical information on the underlying technology, please refer to this Blog post. Getting started with the Reflection Removal feature: Make sure you have the “New AI Features and Settings Panel” Technology Preview enabled in the Camera Raw plug-in Preferences dialog (requires restarting the host application to activate). Go to the Remove panel [B] , and in the “Distraction Re
I use a Canon 5D Mk IV, with the time zone set to London (offset = 00:00) and daylight saving disabled, so that all images remain on UTC.If I look at the EXIF data, the CR2 file has the value 00:00 in the OffsetTime field. When I use DNG converter, then the resulting DNG file has the OffsetTime field modified to be 01:00, which is not the original value stored in the raw image file. This value then propagates through the rest of the workflow in Lightroom, with the result that the exported JPG files have the incorrect OffsetTime value. This causes applications such as Apple Photos to display images in an incorrect order if sorted by time and date. Despite Adobe's statement that DNG converter does not modify EXIF data, the evidence is that DNG Converter does change the OffsetTime field. I believe this to be a bug. Here's the evidence - look at the OffsetTime field, which is 00:00 in the original and has been modified to 01:00 in the DNG file (and subsequent exported JPG file). Time/date in

There were people in the lower left and lower right of the image frame, both much larger than other people in the middle and far distance in the frame.
At the moment I don’t shoot in raw and do not want Photoshop to open in Camera Raw. I have tried the various suggestions and rebooted both photoshop and my Mac laptop but it still opens my jpeg files in Camera Raw. Any suggestions on how I can top Photoshop opening in Camera Raw would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’m a professional photographer specializing in interior photography. In my workflow, which involves processing images through Adobe Camera Raw, perspective correction is an essential step.Correcting vertical and horizontal lines manually takes some time, especially when it has to be done image by image. So, when Adobe introduced the one-click Guided Upright feature for automatically straightening lines, I was genuinely excited.Unfortunately, after testing it in real-world situations, I found that it only worked reliably in a limited number of cases, and I soon stopped using it.The main issue is that, when an image contains many visible lines, the algorithm does not always distinguish between the primary architectural lines and secondary elements. For example, when photographing a hotel room, the main reference lines should be those of the room itself, such as the walls, floor and ceiling. However, the algorithm is often distracted by wardrobes, furniture, doors and other el
Prior to version 16.0.5, switching aspect ratios in the now-named Crop & Expand menu would maintain either the width or height (can’t quite remember which, but I believe it was typically the shorter of the two) when switching over. Now, it seems to average out some arbitrary change in crop size, losing the useful ability to rely on a crop still aligning to a certain place/size when switching ratio.
I have a bunch of HDR photos that I’m saving as AVIFs. Everything works fine except that if I save them with Color Space “Maximize Compatibility” enabled then I am unable to load these AVIF’s back into ACR without losing all of my HDR grading. It will load those files back in as basically ungraded SDR images. Simply clicking the HDR button does not return them to their correct appearance. All HDR grading is lost. However, if I turn “Maximize Compatibility” OFF then the resulting AVIF files load back into ACR perfectly fine with HDR enabled and all the grading looking exactly how I left it. My understanding is that Maximize Compatibility simply adds a gain map to the file, but apparently that gain map is confusing ACR when I try to load those files back in. HDR JPEG Ultra files which also have gain maps, however, do load back into ACR just fine without any issues. This is with whatever version of ACR is current as of July 18, 2026.
Products: Photoshop 27.8.0, Bridge 16.0.5, Adobe Camera Raw 18.4.1.2647Hardware: Mac Mini M4 Pro with 24 GB, Apple Studio Display XDROS: macOS “Tahoe” 26.5.2Symptoms: Frequent kernel panics while editing RAW files from Nikon Z8 and iPhone 16 Pro Max.Sometimes I can work through several files without trouble. Then I load a new file in ACR, make some adjustments, and it crashes. This has happened when touching several different sliders and controls. There is no obvious or repeatable pattern to the panics. I am mostly editing in HDR mode, with working space HDR P3 or Rec. 2020. These are not complex edits - usually just a few moves for exposure, shadows, clarity, cropping, etc.Files are located in local storage (internal SSD of Mac), or external storage (Crucial x9 Pro SSD).Files are opened via Bridge, or directly from Finder.I have tried disabling GPU, purging cache, restarting the Mac, reinstalling Photoshop.Attached is a crash dump.
I’m using Geometry panel in ACR on everyday basis, but after some latest update it is harder to use again. Why geometry panel is now collapsed by default, when there is no need to save space for other tools? Why do I have to expand panel for every single image? How do I make it expanded by default? Why do you do these nonsense changes, that dont help, Adobe?
When I updated to the latest Camera Raw 18.4.1, the Denoise AI disappeared and only the original Denoise is there. When checking why this is what is suggestedEnable Technology Previews:In Photoshop: Go to Photoshop > Settings > Technology Previews (Mac) or Edit > Preferences > Technology Previews (Windows). Check the box for "New AI features and settings panel". Restart Photoshop or Bridge. That box containing New AI features doesn’t appear in either Photoshop or Camera Raw settings in Bridge. Can someone tell me where to find and fix this problem?

In the latest Camera Raw on Windows (for me, 18.4.1) - the Constrain Crop check box in the Geometry panel has disappeared. Where did it go?
Hi,After updating to Camera Raw 18.4.1, GPU acceleration stopped working.I'm using:Photoshop 27.8.0 Camera Raw 18.4.1 Windows 10 22H2 Intel UHD Graphics 620Everything was working fine before the update. Now Camera Raw shows: "Camera Raw graphics acceleration is not supported by your system." The Use Graphics Processor option is locked to Off.I already tried:Updating the Intel graphics driver. Resetting Camera Raw GPU settings. Recreating the CameraRaw and GPU folders. Reinstalling Camera Raw.Nothing helped.Has anyone experienced the same issue after updating to 18.4.1?Thanks!
MacOS, ACR 18.4.1In the previous versions of ACR _before_ the new AI Expand tool, I could scroll up and down images on the left hand side gallery while in the “Crop and Expand” tab (just like in all the other tabs like in “Edit”, “Remove”, etc.) with arrow up and arrow down on the keyboard. Now it’s not the case anymore. I can’t scroll ONLY in “Crop and Expand.” My guess is that the addition of AI Expand has broken or disabled the arrow key scroll feature. Please fix. Thanks.
On Camera Raw, the file looks perfect, but once it’s in PS it’s horrible. The transition from shadows to highlights is completely pixelated. How can this be fixed??
With the introduction of Ananmorphic lens adjustments, the panel has been redesigned/reordered yet again. I have not and will not ever use anamorphic lenses and I have to now retrain my brain where the Geometry area is. Even if I could move the anamorphic options, that would be great, but I can’t. In a perfect world I’d hide them completely because they’re useless to me. Moving the cursor a little farther on screen isn’t the end of the world but with as much time as I spend doing the same thing, it’s annoying as hell to have it change all of the sudden for a feature I don’t need and cannot hide.
When I crop an image and finish with it the new crop does not fill the screen. Its stays the same size and just removes all the pixels outside the crop. In previous versions when I would confirm the crop with the enter key it with bring the new images to fit in view. Its is frustrating that I have one more button to click now every time I crop and every time and slightly adjust the crop.Im using ACR 18.4 on a 2024 M4 Mac Mini
