Questions

I've been watching tutorials for gradients in the CR masking section and they're very helpful except that when I attempt to create one the adjustments the lines disappear as soon as I release the left mouse button. I try and create the gradient and then reposition it, but when the lines disapper there is no reference point with which to grab and drag to new position. I assume it's a 1-click setting change, I've not been able to find it. Any suggentions much appreciated.  Camera Raw15.5.1

Shot three photos on my iPhone in one minute. One hour later, thanks to Google, found out how to import the ProRaw (DNG) files to my PC. Then spent another hour trying to figure out how to open them in Adobe Camera Raw, rather than directly in Photoshop. Apple and Adobe engineers - Cheers mates! I give up. Can someone shed a light here? Is Apple's ProRAW just a Tiff embedded in a DNG or a true RAW format?I want to open them in ACR to disable sharpening and NR. Thank you.

Images not opening from Camera raw to PS.Normaly while in Bridge I double click an image and it opens in camera Raw as it should. I edit it in camera raw and when I go to open it in PS by clicking the "open" button bottom right nothing happens. It just closes down and I'm back in Bridge without my edits being saved, Very frustrating Please help

My apologies, but I can't find my original post.I'm still not able to open photos to PS from Camera Raw.I click "open" and PS opens but no files appear. I'm running  Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.0.1 20221111.r.112 a12a934 x64Bridge v. 13.0.0.562Windows 10.This is quite unacceptable. Is it me?Thank you.

Se trata de archivos CR2  de hace 10 o más años. Se pueden enderezar con la herramienta recortar. Ocurre también con algunos, también antigüos , que al utilizar las herramientas propias de enderezar pierden la horizontalidad con la que se abrieron, y se muestran diagonalmente . ¿Tiene que ver con la antigüedad de los archivos? ¿Indican algún problema a resolver? Muchas gracias anticipadas

I need help please. Camera Raw De-Noise changes the color of my images automatically and I cant figure out why. Any Idease please.

I don’t know whether this is an issue with Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw, or Bridge but I’ll post it here for comment or discussion. I was processing some CR3 raw image files from a Canon EOS R6 of dancers on stage. They were not my images; I had permission to clean them up to be used for posters and programs. The images were good but grainy. I thought this would be a good application for the new AI Denoise features of ACR. I don’t typically work with DNG files, but that is what the AI Denoise produces. I started with Br and browsed the image files. I opened the file in Camera Raw and applied the AI Denoise. The initial CR3 file was about 22.3 MB in size. The resulting DNG file grew to 532 MB. Not a problem for ACR or my PC. I was able to do a fair amount masking to allow me to darken the background and emphasize the dancers. When done with ACR I wanted to open the file in Ps to do some further editing before exporting the final as JPG files. I am doing design photography with Canon R6mark2. I use an app for stop motion animation called Dragon Frame. With Dragon Frame, the issue of flicker due to aperture error is often brought up on the agenda, but that is not the case here.The contrast changes depending on whether there is a strong highlight metal bar on the screen or not.This phenomenon does not appear in Jpeg, but it appears in the default state when raw data is opened in camera raw. Also, this phenomenon does not appear when using Canon's genuine development software.Is this phenomenon a problem? Is it the specifications? The web site developer.adobe.com contains a dead end for those of us looking for the Profile SDK.  If you google "camera raw profile sdk site:adobe.com", the first result is: https://developer.adobe.com/camera-raw/:Clicking Get The Profile SDK takes you to the Adobe Developer Console. After logging in, clicking APIs and Services at the top takes you to https://developer.adobe.com/console/servicesandapis, with no mention of the Profile SDK. (The Profile SDK is in fact available from https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/digital-negative.html, which I found after ten minutes.) 

Hi folks, When creating ACR presets I save them on my mac in a folder. Than i zip the folder in order to be able to import them in ACR.What is supposed to happen is that once imported, ACR should create a Folder named as the folder is, and show all the presets inside that folder. What happens instead, is that ACR puts all the presets in the Users Presets folder and is NOT creating the custom folder.Why is this happening? Any idea how to solve it?I'm on the latest Photoshop and Acr, all is updated.Thanks,Martin

Not sure at which version this started as I have auto-update turned on (but I'm currently on 15.4.1). I use Camera Raw to edit my raw images but about 6 months ago, I noticed that whilst editing photos, Camera Raw would freeze and then crash. Hello everybody, Lately I have been getting errors while using Camera RAW. Can we please get a way to apply mask corrections to multiple files/photos in Camera Raw? I cannot believe that this is a limitation in your technology guys. It makes no sense to expect us to have to re-draw and re-edit all the masks work from Camera Raw to apply it to their files with the same needs.   Thanks.

Hi everyone, I have a big problem with Camera Raw 13.1. The plug-in does not recognize the GPU of my Macbook Pro 16 "(Amd Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB). This is instead recognized by Photoshop, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic. I have disabled the automatic gpu change option in the battery settings and I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times the whole Adobe suite but nothing. I'm desperate, help me.

I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit v 8.1 6.3.9600.17415.  I have an nVidia Quadro K600 graphics card.  I have recently upgraded to Bridge 8.0.1.282x64 and Photoshop 19.1.3. My issue is when I view a raw file in Bridge the colours look fine but when I open it in Camera Raw the colours are horribly distorted (magentas on skin tones are revolting).  However, when I then open the image in Photoshop the colours are fine again.  I have turned graphic processor acceleration OFF in ACR preferences but this hasn't helped.  The odd thing is that if I toggle away from ACR then back to it, the colours shift back to normal (ie the same as appears in Bridge and Photoshop).  See the snip below which shows 1. the appearance the first time I open in ACR and 2. after I toggle to another program then toggle back to ACR.  Can anyone help?

If there are scripts that automatically select this preset when camera raw is opened, please help

Hi there. I'm having an issue where whenever I'm using the geometry editor (specifically drawing guides) on a panorama, the boundary/crop of the panorama isn't updated from its inital size to reflect the new shape of the image. This usually isn't a big deal, but it sometimes ruins photos because they're entirely cut off. Hopefully you'll be able to see a little bit of what I'm describing in the images, second one being after geometry shifting is applied (and the right side gets cut off). Hi all. I'd really appreciate your help.When I use any of hte Adobe RAW profiles as a base to create a new profile in ACR for LrC profiles I have a problem. If I use, for example, an of the Vintage profiles as a base, everything works fine. So, as an example, when using Adobe Color for my base to create a profile... In the Create Profile dialog box:Under Current Image Settings to Include, the first checkbox says Camera Profile: Adobe StandardThe Color Lookup Table checkbox is unchecked and the Table field says "Load ".cube" File..." (which I can't find on my computer) If I leave everything as it is and click OK, in LrC the profile is visible only for DNG files, not PSD files.If I uncheck the Camera Profile: Adobe Standard box and click OK, the profile is visible and works on both DNG and PSD files.I don't necessarily want to use it for PSD files, but I do want it to be visible for all file types. So, while unchecking Camera Profile is a work around, it concerns me that m

I use Smart Objects when coming out of Lightroom. This way I can edit in Camera Raw in detail later. When I "Save As Object", I've started getting occasional corruption in Photoshop like attached. I will have to open Camera Raw again, make some pointless change, and try to Save again. Usually that works, and the damage goes away. Seems to be only with the newest version of ACR, as I never had the issue before. I'm on Windows 10.
