Question

Created a new project, mainly using software simulation and adding text captions, it only runs for 3 minutes and 170 mb. Looking to drastically reduce file size.

I have cleared down the unused items in the library, tried copy and paste which made no difference and now the mouse clicks are in the wrong place. Most of my settings are standard and I havn't found anything when looking at the forums and Googling.  I really don't want to break it down into separate presentations as it is a basic overview on how to get started on a new application.

I want to place it on a SharePoint site, not 365 but up to date version.

Clearing the library has no effect whatsoever on the file size of the published file, which is what matters.

What is the resolution of the project (first factor for file size)? Did you insert images? Do you have audio?

There is no audio and no images have been inserted, at the end there were two PowerPoint slides .  I have also just tried to change the resolution down to low quality, when reading that this still covers 256 colours and when originally done the size was 1280 x 720 so looking at the sizes but I know the users I am aiming at would like to view presentations on a full screen.

Did you take into account the pixels taken up by the browser and/or the LMS? Only if you are sure that 1280 is really available for everyone?

I meant the overall resolution (px), not the slide quality. Cutting that down to Low could mean that the quality is insufficient. Do you have a lot of FMR 'Full Motion Recording' slides? No audio, no images and the cptx ends up with 170MB? What is the published file size?
