If a learner drags an object to the wrong drop target, I want Captivate 9 to snap the object back to its starting position immediately.  For example, if I drag OBJECT_A to DROP_TARGET_A (that is, to the correct drop target), it should snap to the drop target. But if I drag OBJECT_A to any other location on the screen, I want OBJECT_A to snap back to its starting position. I don't want to use the Submit button or any feedback messages. Is this possible?

Alternatively, is there a way to leave the correctly-dropped objects on their (correct) drop targets after the learner clicks Submit, while still allowing the incorrectly-dropped objects to return to their starting points? I'm not looking for a complicated hand-coded solution; just asking if this is something easily configurable via the standard drag-and-drop properties panels.

Thanks!

    Hi Ray,

It is possible in Captivate. You Can select the wrong target, Click on the 'Object actions' button from the Drag and drop panel; Uncheck 'OBJECT_A' from the 'Accepted Drag Source' dialog. Repeat the same for all the incorrect targets/sources.

    Thanks,

Thanks Nimmy! That did the trick when combined with Auto Submit Correct Answers.

    Cheers!
