Questions

Whenever I try to publish my project to Prime, I get the error: "Upload failed. The system has encountered an error. Your content X failed to upload."I have uploaded via Publish to Devices (zip) and uploaded the zip onto Prime, and this has worked. The project looks fine on desktop, but on laptop, the formatting immediately gets messed up, which is why I am not trying to publish direct to Prime.

Hello all; I'm having an odd problem that I've not had before. I have been creating simulations for a project at work - which I do often as it's what we use Captivate for most these days - and my recorded slides are much larger than the first and last slide that come by default when I start a new project, even though the project is set to 1280 x 720. I don't know what happened but I assume it's related somehow to something I did while recording...? It's never happened before but now it's on all five of the simulations I'm working on.  You can see in the shots below an example. The first slide, which is just there from the basic theme is at a view of 66 and size of 1280 x 720, and you can see how much space is around the stage. The second slide also has a view of 66 and is 1280 x720 but there is much less space around the stage. All of the project slides are like this except the first and last, which are the default with new project. The third slide is what it looks like

HiI have built an html elearning course in Captivate 9 and selected to have a player bar stretched at the bottom of the course. In preview mode it looks as it should but in the LMS the navigation buttons are also stretched across the screen as per screenshot. Please help

Good evening, I am looking to implement the HTML jsPDF code to enable me to create a PDF certificate of a course. I've got the print.html and jspdf.min.js files as mentioned in the post, but I cannot seem to embed the files. Every time I publish the project the 2 files are getting deleted. How can I add the files so they don't get deleted when re-publishing the project? ThanksPhil.

Hi All,I have a PowerPoint with multiple audio clips that have been trimmed in PP, but when I try to create a new project and publish to SCORM in Captivate 9.0.2 I lose them. If anyone can advise what I am doing wrong I would sure appreciate it. I tried it in iSpring and it worked seemlessly, but I really don't want to switch 🙂Thanks in advance!

Hi all,Possibly a newbiequestion that is so obvious that I am the only one who has missed it.Is it possible to have only those layers affected (designed to be visible)  be displayed at the play head location when the playback is paused, or during editing the timeline?What I see now are ALL the layers I have created appearing at the paused playhead location, making it difficult to edit the one object I need to adjust, without turning off all the other layers in the timeline. There must be a better way, but I have not found it yet. Many thanks!

Hi:I have a drag and drop that is the first question of a pre-test. If not answered correctly it is set to take the leaner to the first lesson. Instead, it is continuing with the test, and not going to the first lesson. I checked and triple-checked the Success and Fail setting, and navigation is set correctly. How do I get the question to work?!

I have set up a page with multiple icons, when the user clicks the icon they are redirected to a URL in a sepearate window. This works for the first icon, however if i click on any of others it doesnt take me to the URL and instead it plays the rest of the project. I have tried using click boxes and pausing the project and i have also tried clicking the icon click box using the accordian next to the URL selecting NEW and unchecking the box to continue playing the project. Nothing is worked so far...Please advise.

I am using a macbook pro runing macOS bigsurt 11.2.3 and am having issues when using captivate 2019.When opening a project or creating a new one the stage opens with the slide off to the bottom left, I scroll to bring the slide to the centre however when I try to interact with the slide all or the vast majority of the slide dissapears. The slide also moves so I have to again scroll to find it but it will only display the parttial slide when I can find it.  I have reinstalled Captivate twice, it also works fine on my PC so I am assuming the issue is with aconflict on my mac. Any ideas or similar eperiences would be welcome. ThanksJamie

Sometimes pictures zoom in when publishing for me.  I have no idea why.   Typically I just  create a movie out of the slide and insert the movie that way, it fixes the zoom.  This time though, I have a quiz question, so I cannot convert it to a movie.  In captivate my slide looks like;  After publishing it looks like: I am on captivate 11.5.5.676.  The image is a svg file.  

I have a lesson that has "informal" quiz questions during a practice section (click boxes) and 2 "formal" T/F questions.  If the learner gets one or both of the questions wrong, I want to allow them to retake the quiz and get credit for the new answers.  As it is when I go back to the quiz (Jump to Slide) the previous answers are there and I can't change the answer or use the submit button. Is there a way to reset just the "formal" quiz questions?Thanks,Rachel

Hi all,When a timeline is undocked and on another montior, the type is still as small as if both the stage and timeline were on one monitor.  Is it possible to enlarge the displayed timeline elements on another monitor, some kind of zoom feature such as Word or other applications have? I have tried various searches and clicks and but found nothing that allows the size of an undocked timeline to have its elements appear larger. Thank you!

Hi all,  I am trying with little luck to add a software simulation to a project. I know all about the settings and how to get it recording but some of the clicks are not showing up at all as slides. The screen i am trying to record is browser based. When i click a heading tab to take me to another page this doesnt register and the first screen i am getting is the page i have just requested from the tab. Not the main title page. This also seems to happen when selecting something from a dropdown list. Captivate doesnt apear to record my selction as a click.  If anyone has the answer to this that would be great!  Many thanksBen  

Hi there,I am using 3 different SVGs states for a button to look sharp on the screen. Its a non-responsive project.  When previewed in HTML5 in browser it seems to work fine although there is a flicker when rolled over with the mouse.  I have activated to display for rest of the slide and using a hand cursor.  Is there anyway to solve this flicker issue please? I would prefer to use SVGs if possible. 

HiI have built a fully interactive captivate course on our System and I am wondering if I should build the assessment in Captivate and track pass/failed in the LMS or if I should build the assessment in the LMS? I use Litmos LMS and unfortunately its SCORM tracking on the course is only not completed/completed so I need to build an assessment to certify the user on their knowledge. I would like to direct the user to our live system to carry out some tasks and come back to answer in the assessment. I would appreciate hearing the experts advice. Thanks

Hello, when I publish my font changes, is there a way to avoid that change?

I have a project I believe was built in Captivate 9. I am working on it in 2019. There is audio added to click boxes. When played in the Learing Management System the audio gets clipped at the end of each sentence. If I come come back to the slide, the audio works just fine.Has anyone experienced this before?Are there any suggestions on how to correct this issue? Thank you,John

I am using Captivate 2019 (trial version) to develop responsive eLearning programs. When testing the project, it works well on a MacBook Laptop, but when using the QR code to test it on iPhone X, the audio won't play. Images and text work OK. Has anyone solved this issue? Please point me to the right source, or let me know if this continues to be an issue with Iphones. 

I am attempting to pull in a .ppt to Captviate 2019, and 3 of my slides have a light blue to white gradient background, and it comes into captivate as fading into black.  

I have a slide based Captivate 2019 file. I have created stop and proceed to next slide buttons on each slides in Captivate. They work great in Preview. BUT when I publish this as a video to my computer they don't work. The video just runs from start to finish.

Using Adobe Captivate 2019. In a Software Simulation project, I try to adjust the shape of the Highlight boxes, but I can't get this to work. Any suggestions anyone? Thanks in Advance.

I need to embed a font in the Captivate source file. So, any user can open the source file anywhere and do not get the Missing font massage. So, is there any way to embed the font in the Captivate source file? Please let me know to resolve the issue. 

Hello all, seeing if anyone has seen this and has a fix: I am having an issue with event video displaying on iOS. It works fine on desktop, but the following is happening in iOS (14.4.2)The first video in the project is visible, but the user is unable to use the video controls (play/pause). When you tap play, a bounding box appears around the video but nothing happens.If you use the first video again in the project, it shows up but with no functionality (see gif below where I've duplicated the first slide)All other videos do not show up at all (they are the same duration/framerate/encoding)The same video that does not show up as Event video works fine as interative video I have elimiated the possibility that it is a SCORM or LMS issue. I exported the project as HTML and put it on a server and the functionality is the same (1st video shows up but no functionality - the rest are not visible at all). I want to execute javascript when I click a button and I want the script to know which button I clicked. If button a, do this, if button b do something else, etc. In a webpage I would just use the 'this' keyword to refer to the element that fired the event, but when I try it in Captivate, I get the window object!Any ideas?It's a long, boring story why I want to do it this way instead of advanced/shared actions, but suffice it to say, if I can get this working it will be better.

Good evening everybody.I am in the process of converting old flash based Scorm packages to html5 based Scorm packages for Moodle.Flash to html5 is done by hand in Adobe Animate. I have one converted that works exactly like its flash counterpart, it is essentially 2 frames with alot of math and interactive buttons and inputs. I have tried converting it to scorm with Captivate, but I am having some issues. So far I've imported html5 animations and published as Scorm, it kind of sort of works, but I am having issues id like some help with:1)  When importing the animation with media -> html5 animation ->oam file. It imports the file, and it works as correctly, however it works in the media player, is there a way to get rid of the media player and have it display as my html5 page only ?2) How do I tie the end results to moodle ? In the flash actionscript version it is tied to a button named "results". How would it be possible for me to bind the "results" button in Captivate to se
