Hello! I am an advanced beginner at Captivate.  I have created a project with two slides that contain video.  The video is sourced from my local computer.  It had been orginally sourced from a Youtube url.  I chose to download it instead because when Captivate was grabbing the url there was a white screen flash (delay) for a several seconds that I could not elimate.  That said, my work around was to have the video come directly from my computer instead.  And that solved the problem.   In both scenarios though, I have a problem that I cannot resolve.  I am hoping for some guidance.  I have spent hours reading other posts and blogs with no sucessful fix yet.  On both of my video slides, the video automatically pauses by itself.  I certainly did not intentionally tell the video to do that.  Both videos pause in the same exact spot every single time - so it is not random.  The video file is not corrupted nor defecti

I just downloaded Captivate 2019 on a Mac for the trial period and when I create a new project and try to add an asset, the program just closes. Every time. Since I'm in my trial period I do not have access to Adobe tech support apparently.  Anybody have any idea why this is happening?

When is it best to use the Captivate Skin for navigation or create your own?

I am new to both responsive design and accessibility design. I was previewing my module to view the slides from desktop to smartphone. Closed Captioning was on. When viewing the slide from desktop to smartphone it appears that the closed captioning is not responsive and is moving on to the lower navigation bar. See attachment for visual. My questions:Is there a way to keep this from occurring?Is there a way to keep closed captioning on for desktop through a tablet, but to hide when a smartphone view?When it comes to best practice when is best to provide transcripts of audio as a PDF vs providing closed captioning?Thanks in advance for your help! 🙂 

Just wanted to put this out there. When I go into my Assets for some reason the Cancel button disappears or doesn't work. What I have to do is click on another tab and find a different Cancel button to close the darn window. Be sure to save your work before you go into your Assets. It's the stupidest thing. SMH Do they even bother to do a QA on this thing?

I just finished a project and all I need to do its publish the darn thing. Unforunately, there is this new Adobe Font domain thing I have encountered? I tried putting in "adobe.com" or "localhost" but that seems to do nothing.I have no idea what I should be putting in this field because I don't use any unusual fonts. I do have a subscription. All I can find in the community is about TypeKit. And no one says anything about their Captivate crashing at 4%. This is really frustrating. Thanks.

I buyed a Captivate 9 for Mac, but now i need to move to Windows.Where can i found the Windows installer? Somebody knows?Thanks for your help

Hi Brand new to Captivate and trying to help our L and D team out. I have the published .exe files and the .cptx files, how do I extract the video file ?   

After i publish, video in the slide sometimes doesnt fully load and appears transparent. Any ideas why? 

Hello, I have several multi slide synchronized videos, each play on 1 slide. Throughout, the video will randomly pause, and you have to click the Play button in the Captivate skin to resume. How do I prevent it from pausing randomly? I want the video only to pause if the user clicks the pause button.Also, some videos play automatically when you enter the slide, while for others you have to click the Play button first. I want to have them start ONLY when you click Play.I am using Captivate 9Thanks - would appreciate any help!

I want to create a responsive captivate 2019 project for the iPad in landscape mode. The "iPad" choice in the Layout Preview drop-down menu displays width and height for portrait mode. Is there a way to set the layout preview to iPad landscape mode? I created a custom preview with a width of 960 and a height of 768, but I'm not sure that's a good solution.

In Captivate 2019, whenever you go into File, Project Info, whether you change anything or not in Preferences and irregardless if you click Cancel or OK, the Captivate does not respond and hangs up.  You have to force a shut it down.  It does not matter if it is a new or existing file.  This just started happening out of the blue.   I have Captivate 2019 v.11.5.1.499 running on a Mac OS Catalina (10.15.1).  Thanks in advance for any help.   

Does Adobe Captivate work with Desktop applications? For example, can I embedd an Adobe Capitave Quick Tour and Interactive Onboarding Checklist into our Windows Desktop application tha we develop and distribute?

Are there any resources that explain the Reviewer App and how to use it?  Can my reviewer click an area on the screen and make comments there?  Does this app even work with Capt 2017?  I downloaded the latest version I could find and it sort of worked, allowing me to make a comment, but I'd like to get my boss a copy so we can review courses without physically getting together. Thanks in advance.

Hi,every time I test my project under chrome, when I get to the association quiz, all response choices move to the top left corner and I cannot continue to play the project.  Please help!

The attached popup message appears at the beginning of the lesson when it is played from the folder or the server.  They've set the reporting default to slide views.  

Hello!I imported several mp4 videos to a project. These videos have sound but I want do publish the project without it. Is it possible? I’ve already tried to uncheck the “include audio” on preferences.Thanks!Inês

I have developed one course in Adobe Captivate, used minimal graphics and few buttons. But after publishing facing loading issues.. To load each page it takes 15-20 seconds. Please help me in resolving this issue.What can be reasons for this?

Having a nightmare - I have a button set in the timeline to appear after 116 seconds, but it doesn't appear. If I play the timeline in the project window, the button appears as it should, but when I preview the module it doesn't appear and if I publish the module it also doesn't appear. Without it, users cannot advance! I have another module that as far as I can tell is set up exactly the same and it works. Help!!!

Can I transfer my license for Captivate 2019 to another person?

In Adobe Captivate 2019, how can I publish the two video tracks into two separate videos one for webcam and another for screen recording. Right now if I publish (export), it produces only one video. I need to further edit and add after effects. Unfortunately, Adobe Captivate 2019 does not link from within cpt* to Premiere Pro or After Effects in a manner similar to other Adobe cloud software. Also, Captivate file is not editable in Premiere Pro or After Effects. How can I keep the cptx file with its two video tracks? or export the two video tracks.

I am trying to execute a script (non-Java) and the conditional syntax is tripping me up. I have a button with multiple conditional tabs that I want to play based on the status of a user variable. The Only thing I place in the Conditional tab is an IF for that variable.  The THEN section is all my actions, ending with assigning a new status to my variable. My problem is that no matter what I do, the only tab that runs is the second tab.  All 5 tabs function individually, but only when they are placed in the second slot SEE EDIT BELOW, and regardless of the status of my variable. I suspect that is has something to do with the lack of an ELSE statement, but the only ones that seem applicable are "continue" and "pause", and I have tried both of those without success. The variable is a simple integer that is applied based on which of four buttons on the screen is clicked. I am essentially attempting to recreate an accordion interaction from scratch with custom graph
