Questions

I inserted a PDF into a responsove project but the PDF only displays the 1st page of the PDF on mobile. It works great on the PC but on mobile, only the first page displays. It's like the scrolling is not enabled but it definitely is. Any ideas why this is happening? Here are my settings. 

I have a responsive project. The drag and drop work fine if the user doesn't make any mistakes. However, if they click the UNDO button, it voids the last step but also moves the previously placed items to where they are misaligned. The items are associated with the correct box but the quiz will fail because of the misaligned items. It doesn't allow me to realign them. The only work-around is to use the reset button instead of the undo button but this isn't a great experience for the user, especially with the number of items on the screen. Any suggestions?  Captivate 2019

HI,I am using Captivate  2019. I've recorded over a few days and sadly, had to switch programs in the middle of it (I was first recording in Audacity, then switched to Audition). The audio is quite varied. How do I level it out in captivate? Or do I need to export it to Audition and do it that way?  (if so, how do I normalize it in Audition?) Thanks!

Hi, Captivate 2017 is sudedenly asking me for my product key. Once I enter it it is saying the key is not valid.

I am having an issue with a few lessons and I can not figure out why this is happening. We have a captivate template we start each lesson with to speed up and make each lesson look the same no matter the content.With that said I have several courses/lessons published using this template. 99% of them work as designed. I have two lessons which work perfectly when the learner takes the lesson and completes the quiz questions at the end. However when the learner go back to these two lessons to review the content, the quiz questions are missing the quiz navigation buttons so the learner can not navigate the lesson when reviewing the quiz. I tried recreating one of the lessons from scratch and have the same issue. Again 99% are working fine using our development workflow. I can not figure out why these particular lessons behave this way in the quiz section. I have attached two images as examples. They are hot spot examples. The good one has the buttons, the bad image has the buttons missing

Dear Expert,When I create a contents in Japanese, some of Interaction detail are missing or not being communicated to LMS.English Question(below)Japanese Question(below)All have same choices and first one is the correct answer.However when I report with my LMS, it appears like below.As you can see, English choices are fine but Japanese choices are garbled in "_".And also you can notice that Japanese characters are displayed correctly in "Question".This makes me confused...Also it works if it's a "Short Answer" or "Fill in the Blank".But if it's a "multiple choices", it doesn't seem like send correct characters.The difference between the question types is that students must type with keyboard in the former ones, in the later ones, on the other hand, students must choose the answer from the choces given.Do I miss some language settings to have work this fine, to use in double byte languages?In Preferences - Recordings - Settings - Language used in caption, I set it Japanese.I don't know

I have several interactions that preview fine in Captivate preview, but either are the wrong size or just move to the upper left in HTML5. It does not matter what I do, I cannot seem to modify the location or size of the interaction in the published output.  Has anyone run into this?

Hello,In my project I have two videos. On exit, I have selected the slide I want the project to jump to. However it continues to jump to the next slide. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I just got Captivate 19.  I am attempting to set up a "drag and drop" "game."  Children will drag an image of a 5 gallon water bottle into a grid.  The question is "How much water do individuals use in one day?"I have 20 water bottles and 20 grid boxes.  I've set it up so that children can drag a water bottle into any grid box. My question, if children do not drag all 20 bottles into the grid, they receive a "Good guess!  But a person uses 100 gallons a day!"  If the child drags all 20 bottles, the success message does not work.  How do I get it to show the success message? Thanks in advance!!

Hi, I am using Adobe Captivate 9.0.2.437 and wanted to use the Internal Server LMS again. I have done that before (I think it was in 2017). I had problems then to find the 'Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer' but found a download link (http://www.adobe.com/go/cp5_quizanalyzer) and it worked. This link no longer exists. A colleague of mine sent me one that he previously stored but that one reports an error stating the .air file is corrupted. Is the analyzer software still available and can it run on windows 10 ? I am new to Captivate, and am wondering if you can retrieve a user's answers later in a presentation. Specifically, we want to have the user take a quiz at the beginning, then experience the learning presentation, then retake the quiz and compare the initial answers with the ones selected at the end...is that possible? It has to be SCORM compliant.  Thank you. 

Hello All,      I'm curious if anyone else has run into this problem. Over the past couple days my team has experienced a significant issue regarding HTML5 published coures not loading in both Chrome & IE. These same courses loaded without issue previously. From what I can tell the course load process dies when CPXHRLoader.js loads CPM.js. Chrome's network tab shows a 206 status (partial load) for CPM.js. Coures never seem to get to the initalizeCP() function within the index.html. We are pursuing several possiblities: - To remove complexity, we have tested a basic 2 slide course and see the same loading issues. These coures load normally if you test them locally either from within captivate or a local webserver. Which makes me think the problem could be browser or server related.Has there been any significant browser changes that might have caused this? We've tried both Chrome (80.0.3987.122) and IE (11.973.17763.0) and both just hang o

I am creating an assessment where the slide has two questions. The user has to manually type in the answer. After the first answer is typed in the audio stops automatically. I have made sure that both the questions are timed to stop when the audio sample ends but the audio still stops after the first answer is typed in. Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi community! I have a short Captivate training that is hosted in Captivate Prime, created in Captivate 2019, that has a short 20-second event video on one slide. About 80% of the time, when I have a learner view the content through Captivate Prime, the video hits a loading screen about halfway through the video that freezes everything for about 5 seconds. Once the loading screen is gone, the video is paused and will only continue when the learner moves the video's playbar to somewhere else in the video. I've tried re-recording the video (in hopes that it was the video file's fault) and then recreating the entire training into a new Captivate file. Nothing helps. Is this a video loading problem? Captivate Prime problem? My problem?? Thanks for any help!

Hi, I'm designing a game which I need to use a "target icon" as my mouse cursor. I know this is possible in Simulation but in this case, I need to change my mouse cursor to "target icon". Anyone with a solution please help. 

I'm working on a desktop application that uses CAPTIVATEI'm trying to play MP3 files, for example from Soundcloud, into my captivate file after publishing it to SWF.It works just fine in the preview but when exporting it to swf, it doesn't work.Are there any solutions for that?The same problem appears also when playing a video from youtube.Thanks a million.

I'm having an issue with the background music for my presentation. The background music defaults to the maximum setting. To address this I added volume control for the user, first via the 'volume control' widget in learning interactions and then via making 'volume up' and 'volume down' buttons using expressions in advanced actions. Both of those work but only for the inidividual slide only, when I click to the next slide it reverts to the ear splitting maximum. i.e. lets say the volume to the slide is set at '10', the user uses the volume control to turn the sound down to lets say '6' when they click onto the next slide captivate resetes the volume to '10'. 

I have an issue with the audio on a screen that has multiple states that have audio(narration) on each state with its own information being displayed. This is how the screen is designed and it functions. When the user is presented with the screen the buttons are on the left side (2 up to 5 buttons in some cases) and on the right is an area for the information such as text and images. An audio clip is played by introducing the topic. When the user selects a button on the left side of the screen (say button 1) the right side of the screen or the state will change and its related information will be displayed with its related audio clip as well. I have added variables to test for what state is being used and only play that audio clip for that specific state, it all works ok except. If the user immediately clicks on any of the buttons on the left while the initial audio is playing you will have multiple audio files playing which is my dilemma.  I thought if I added the actio

Hello, Anyone an expert in dowload issues with Captivate?  My free trial version expired.  I chose to purchase monthly subscription plan.  I vcould not re-access Captivate without a serial number yet no serial number was provided.  I was directed to a download page.  I downloaded.  Now, I still can't access program without serial number however it seems like new version and free version are competing and they just quit unexpectedly within seconds. Thanks!JB
