Hallo zusammen,ich arbeite zur Zeit an einem Projekt in Adobe Captivate 9.0.2.437. Dieses Projekt soll im fertigen Zustand 9 Kapitel enthalten, die jeweils kleine Wissenstests beinhalten. Nun hat mein Projekt bisher 76 Folien, 13 Bilder mit einer Dateigröße von 6 bis max. 195kb (Ausnahme). Es soll nachher über den Browser als HTML5 Anwendung aufgerufen werden können. Als ich eben einen Zwischenstand ausgerechnet habe, fiel mir auf, dass die HTML-Anwendung extrem langsam ist: Die ersten 5 Folien brauchen circa 6 Sekunden für ein Weiterblättern, die benötigte Zeit scheint immer mehr zuzunehmen, je mehr Folien man durchgeblättert hat. Bei 17 Sekunden Reaktionszeit habe ich dann aufgehört.Die Anwendung besteht ausschließlich aus Text, ein paar Bildern, einer einzigen User-Variablen und 8 oder 9 erweiterten Aktionen. Ich weiß nicht, woran es liegen könnte. Vielleicht kann mir ja hier jemand helfen? Die Anwendung in Captivate läuft ziemlich geschmeidig.

Hi, I'm sure there is a simple explanation, but It's quite frustrating. In my project my slides look fine, but when I preview them they (some) are different. In one I had a "1." shown in the midst of the slide although it wasn't there on the original. In others it is formatting that goes wrong when shown in preview. Any ideas? Kind regardsPatrick

I started a project and imported a regular video file (mp4). It gave me this cool option of Overlay slides so I built my video/course around this idea. Now I can only export as HTML5 and I want to get it on YouTube as a straight up video so I need to get it converted to MP4 or some other compatible format. Does anyone know how to do this? I realize that that Captivate automatically turned my imported video into an Interactive Video (a feature I had not explored yet). I spent a lot of time creating the overlay slides and now i'm worried that i'm out of luck. Please help me!

I have inserted a rollover slide-let onto a page and within the slide-let I have pasted a text box and a icon/picture - the text displays fine but the image although it displays fine it has a little box with a cross in it at the top right of the image (as demonstrated below)Could you help why this might be the case?

Hello,At the end of my online learning, as per advice on this forum, I have create a 'complete' button that is included in the quiz, with a score of '1' attached to it.To be marked as complete, the learner has to score one point (clicking the complete button).The issue I've faced in multiple pieces of eLearning is that the user is marked as 'incorrect' on clicking the button, and they don't get the score of '1' - so the eLearning isn't marked as complete.To get past this issue I created a two buttons with scores attached.The user has to click a 'confirmation of understanding' button on one page with a score of 1 and a 'complete' button the next page with a score of 1 - that way at least one of the buttons would register as correct and the user would get at least one point. In other pieces of eLearning this has worked fine, even if it's a little sketchy.Now it's causing me trouble - multiple users are being marked as incorrect for both of the buttons (see below detailed SCORM report). I have two project both have text entry boxes.  The first one works.  The second one with some of the same values to enter into the text entry boxes doesn't work.The Style Settings for both project's text entry boxes is to retain the text, show the text box frame and validate user input.I've typed and reenter the text in the correct entries box and its still not working.

Dear all,on one of my slides, I have several buttons showing lightboxes.Each lightbox is made of several elements (smartshapes, text, image..) and is covering the totality of the slide.BUT, even if you don't see the buttons anymore, you can actually click on them.Can someone explain me why and how I can stop this behaviour?Thanks a lotCéline

I've just started in captivate, but I've run across this issue a few times already. I'm working in Captivate 7.0.1.237.I start new projects by copying the basic formatting from another project that is already complete.  This brings in the "Existing Actions" from my previous project under the drop down menu in the Advance Actions dialog box. I delete all slides with these actions associated and then try to delete the action.  It appears to work when I click the trash can in the upper right, BUT when I close out of Advanced Actions and come back in... the actions I just deleted appear again! I've checked the usage of these unwanted actions and some say "Item is not currently in use", while others bring up the Usage screen and it's blank (just grey).  Also, none of these actions have any directions to do anything anymore.   It's not REALLY an issue, but it's cluttering up my drop down menus when I want to execute an advanced action, and my naming conventions are g

I have a project where I want the user to complete a drag&drop before going to the next slide. The problem is that when allowing gesture navigation, the user can just swipe left to move automatically to the next slide. Is there a way to block the user from accessing the next slide until having permission to? Thanks.

Is there a way to use javascript or something to show me what questions the learner got wrong? That is all the only information I need and it is important. I have all the questions variables named. Scorm 2004 was an option but when published in the LMS the course LAGGED way too much that it hinders the learners because this course is application input and they type fast. I know the information is retrievable because the system knows if they got the answer right or wrong so is there a way to list the items they got wrong?  Hoping there is an answer somewhere.

I have a project with some screen-capture slides that use FMR for screen scrolling. There are no issues with these slides in our HTML5 output when viewed locally. However, users of the version loaded on a server are reporting that the FMR portions of slides are showing up as blank white screens in Chrome but not in Firefox on both Mac and Windows. The first place that you can see it is picking choice 2 on the tips slide.Any clues as to what settings we might look at to alleviate this issue?

Hi All!I've found myself in the unique situation where I need to self-publish Captivate modules as a demo for my website viewers.I have a simple website that I coded using Bootstrap that is hosted on Namecheap. I was told by an Adobe Captivate rep that I could not simply upload the HTML files as it wouldn't work. I have also looked into other options like SCORM cloud, but it seems you have to invite people individually using their email address.I've seen other instructional designers host samples on what seem to be personal websites, but I am not sure how.Has anyone published their Adobe Captivate lessons to Namecheap (or a similar self-hosted site) so that web visitors can view and interact with the demo?

I am following another tutorial for Captivate that uses Google Material Icon. I am using a Mac. I have installed the font but do not know how to access it to input icons into project. The tutorial uses Windows and the icons are found using Character Map and Material Icon font. Does anyone know how to access the font on Mac OSX?

Hi all.I have a problem that should intrigue the problem solvers amongst us.I have published an Adobe Captivate 2017 project, uploaded it to Filezilla, and it works perfectly...almost. I designed mainly so that it could be used on a Smartphone.When I opened the link on my Android phone using Google Chrome, I was met with an Error 404 message.Interestingly however, it works perfectly when I use:- Incognito mode on Google Chrome- The other internet browsers on my phone.- My wife and colleague both use Google Chrome and it works fine for them.- It works on EVERY other device/browser that I have.  So I am perplexed as to why it doesn't work on my own phone!I have tried deleting my Google Chrome history/cookies etc. but to no avail. Has anyone seen this on the iPad for Captivate Draft. I am missing the email notification icon though I have all the rest (upload to the cloud, duplicate, and delete). Wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Is it possible to Save As the file to Captivate 2017 version from the Captivate 2019 version. We have developed a file in Captivate 2019 version and now we want it to be open in Captivate 2017 version. Is it possible to open the same or is there any work around to Save As the file to earlier versions.

I need your help  again I make button "Next" in adobe illustrator (yellow ellipse with black arrow)  and save as svg, after import in my project (please see attached  Next.png)Now I want this svg use as button and give different states. Is it possible? Just I can't find in setting "Use as a buutton" when click on my svg button.Thanks a lot !

Hello, I have an E-Learning module I'm working on that is throwing up some issues. The module will be viewed via Moodle on our College network. I have set the skin editor up to hide the playbar on knowledge check/quiz questions, and I have 2 drag and drop questions, and 4 multiple choice questions. The drag and drop were set up on a blank slide, and the multiple choice questions were set up on the default 'knowledge check slide'. When I have uploaded the project, the playhead is hidden on the drag and drop questions, but not on the multiple choice?There are a few instances within the module that the user can go back and forth on some slides. for example, a slide set up with 4 menu options and the user can choose which one they want, instead of viewing them sequentially. I've advised against this but this is what has been requested. Would this be what is causing the problem? It works fine in the project preview within Captivate.

Hi there, I am trying to generate Text to Speech Audio (this is a saved file - created using older version captivate that I'm trying to edit) but when I click on Generate audio an error message appears attached below. Hi,I've published a Captivate 9 module in HTML5, and everything looks OK in Captivate and when uploaded to our LMS (SumTotal) and previewed. However, some users are experiencing problems with the quiz questions in the 'live' version, as the possible answers aren't appearing. They get the background image, the question, and the A, B, C, etc. at the left, but not he answers or buttons.Has anyone seen this before, and if so how do I correct it? ThanksMatt

Hello!I've asked this question before here but then I actually heard from Adobe support themselves that they are looking into a solution that will replace flash, that might help to convert flash content. With that said, they said I could continue to publish in both SWF and HTML.Have you also heard about this? If so, do you continue to publish your e-learning in both formats? Or do you re-publish/publish in HTML only until this solution is official? Another question, when previewing in HTML output rollover captions works on some slides and on some not at all. Do any of you know why?Thanks in advance!

I'm starting to design a VR project with a series of pano's.  Loving your UI.  1) You have a hotspot for embedding an image, could you also add a hotspot for embedding a square video (doesn't have to bend to the sphere as Premiere) justa square box like an image only with video.  2) Other two suggestions that are neededis ability to zoom in and out in the VR panorama and ability to resize the pano and then it would be totally there.  Thanks

Hi, I'm new to Captivate and am having trouble figuring out how to publish a software simulation in a format that would work on our Confluence wiki site. The only format I can see that would work on the wiki is video format, but that wouldn't allow the learner to practice the steps within the software simulation. Maybe this isn't possible at all? We don't want to use SWF since I heard that won't be supported in the near future. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm quite new to all of this and don't understand what our options would be.
