I have a custom TOC. Doing a few things to it via css and js. Only issue right now is the vertical positioning of the visited.png of an inset TOC item. Somewhere an inline style is changing the margin-top from the standard 14px to -5.93px. I'm trying to overwrite it with stuff like:#tocContent div img { margin-top: 14.06px !important;}ordiv.tocEntryContainerStyle img { margin-top: 14.06px !important;}No luck so far. Any ideas out there?

I'm building in Captivate 9 and need to give the user the option to skip back and forth to specific "scenes" in a slide.  These scenes don't have any specific markers - they're just sub-sections of the lesson on the slide.I followed some excellent tips gleaned from Lilybiri​'s blog articles to create my own Forward and Back buttons, that skip to the next breakpoint.In order to achieve this, i've created an Advanced Action with 9 decisions (one for each scene), and each decision says "if currentFrame is between x and y, go to openingFrame + z.  I used the On Enter property of the slide to set the openingFrame variable on entering the slide.  This way, when the button is tapped (either Forward or Back), the lesson skips to the beginning or end of the current "scene".Well, I spent a good 2-3 hours previewing the slide and tweaking the Advanced Action till it was working exactly as desired, and then I published...To my great disappointment, on clicking the Forward button fro

Can someone please walk me through how to do this? Will I need to host it on an external site? If so, which are my best options, and how do I do this?Thanks!

Cant insert video assets

Hello all,I wonder if any one can help me here.I have a project where the learner is always taken back to the first slide when they re-access the course. I can do this easily by ticking "Never send resume data". But if do this then the variables are no longer stored.Is there a way to either:continue using "Never send resume data" and then force the file to store variable values? (I think maybe this is stored in cmi.suspend_data).stop using "Never send resume data" and then find another method of always taking the learner back to the first slide?(Captivate 2017, HTML-only output, SCORM 1.2, Totara Platform, I am not able to share the project.)Thank you!Mike

I have got issue in TOC text in my Build, After i done formatting from English to Spanish Language.I have make "TOCStrings.ini" in spanish language and placed in captivate program folders.All text look fine in .ini files.But when i publish my build and upload on SCORM CLOUD its look corrupt, see screenshot (Red highlighted part)But its look fine when i run course in offline mode, See attached screenshot.I did utf 8 to .ini file, also made changes in "CPM.js" files, and run build but still same issue on Scorm Cloud.I done this course in Captivate 9please someone help me to find solution, this is really will helpful me.Thanks In Advanced.

I'm working on a slide that has 8 drag & drop boxes in two groups of four. It looks like this:The Undo and Submit buttons are the ones built in to the drag & drop.Once I click Submit, I want one of two hidden groups to appear depending on whether the answer was correct. The groups will appear at the bottom above where the drag boxes are.The "correct" group is made a shape the width of the slide, and on it an image, some text, and a button to continue to the next slide. This works correctly..The problem is with the "incorrect" group. This group again has a shape, an image, text, and two buttons: A Continue button to go to the next slide, and a Reset button. What I want the Reset button to do is to reset the dragged items and hide the group panel, basically reverting the slide to the beginning. This Reset button is not the one built into the drag & drop, but is instead a shape button. I did this because I couldn't find a way to hide or show the built-in reset button. The Cont

Hello, I am new to working with Captivate and when my IT team try to integrate my module they receive the following error. There are very few people with Captivate knowledge who can pinpoint the error.Is anyone able to shed any light on what's going wrong?

When i have 360 image in my captivate project the project doesn't load in IE. The project loads on Chrome but 360 image is Black.It only work in microsoft edge.Is this a bug or is it in my own settings?

Prime trial account is not appearing in the publish drop down menu in Presenter. Found 2 articles below fix did not work. Found to articles related looked into the registry the string was correct. Presenter>Prime - no connection Unable to publish to Captivate Prime

I am unable to connect Presenter to Prime when attempting to publish from Presenter. The prime drop down is blank. Note: Captivate connects fine on my PC.

I am playing around with the new chroma key video demo to create "talking head" videos. The process of recording itself works fine, but no audio is recorded. Recording audio onto a regular slide via Audio/Record to Slide works fine. Am I missing something, or is there some setting I need to check to get the audio to record during Video Demo?

When testing a drag & drop in a Captivate 2019, why is it that the mouse hand pointer moves away from the source I am dragging? This is bizarre.

Starting Captivate 9 gives a fatal error. Sometimes it works after 2 of 3 times restart the application. Sometimes it needs 5 times or i need to restart the computer. It makes no sense if i start Captivate normal or as an administrator. And it occurs before i have opened a (new) project. The strange thing is that this problem occurs on both pc's i have installed Captivate on. These pc's (work and private) are very different (network (windows for network) and standalone (windows 10).What can be the reason?Thanks for any help.  Bernice

Hi, I am interested in showcasing some of my work including some of the courses I have developed in Captivate in an online portfolio. How would I go about uploading an interactive version or would I just need to share screenshots?  Has anyone else done something like this? I know that I have looked at portfolios that showed sample digital courses before.

Greetings dear Captivate Community!Right now im struggeling in two regards with tryting to publish my current responsive design project to a Moodle with LMS (SCORM 1.2).1) When im publishing my project I want it to work on Moodle as a html5 version. Right now Moodle only uses the Flash version when I add it to Moodle as a "Learning Package" and add the ZIP file. After publishing my responsive project the ZIP still contains the .swf, .pdf, and multiscreen.html file as discussed here:Publishing with Captivate 2017 in both Flash and HTML5 at the same time . The first thing I don't understand is why the ZIP still contains these swf+pdf files since my publishing options only allow for hmtl5 and dont even give me any options. I can't find anything on the Adobe Tutorials here. When I upload it to Moodle, it always starts up with the flash file and I don't find a way to tell Moodle which file to open up. When I delete the .swf and the .pdf file it wont start up anymore. As a different option I

Hi,I am trying to create a quiz where you can choose your role at the beginning  and it will display the appropriate questions for your it, and get graded only on those questions.I am quite new to creating quizzes in Captivate (2019), but I've seen it has the different pools where you can import different set of questions.But I am struggling. My idea was to have a quiz with 10 random questions, five pools with 30 question each, and when you click in your role button it will populate the random questions of the quiz from the selected question pool. But I don't seem to be able to figure that out. I tried with Advance Actions, but no luck.Any idea if what I am trying is possible?IF not, what other tool can I use to create a multi role quiz that can be packaged on a SCORM?ThanksRegards

I have searched after a list that gives an overview of which language the speech agent speaks in.So far I have been able to discover the supported language for the following speech agents:English both UK and US:BridgetJamesJulieKatePaulBut what about the rest of the speech agents; such as alice, alva and amelie? Hey there!I have a question regarding changing the status of multi-state objects across different slides which I can't get to work. Maybe someone has an Idea, I couldn't find something familiar on the forums or the blogs.On my main slide have a "SmartObject1" with 3+ different states (user specified). I want to get this to work with a progress bar later aswell.On other slides I have several buttons which, once clicked, are supposed to advance the state of "SmartObject1" on the main slide by one status. Right now I can't get this to work with the "jump to next state" which seems to be the only suitable choice for me. This option is only available via advanced actions and greyed out as a simple action and doesn't work across diferent slides only if its on the same slide. Creating a "Change the status of" to "2" or "3" does work across different slides, however that doesn't suit my needs as I need it to advance in states regardless of the sequence the different buttons are pressed.I also

Has anyone discovered how to remove / hide the Bookmarks and Overlay lines from the timeline after inserting a Slide Video in 2019 release.These unwanted line items on my timeline take up valuable space and are quite annoying especially when there is no need or intent to use these features for the current project.My searches for a solution so far have not been fruitful annoyed

I downloaded a trial of Adobe Captivate 2019 at home and found the Email Icon Widget under Widgets already pre-installed with Captivate.  However, at work, we use Captivate 9 and it wasn't installed when it was installed. A quick look on the Adobe Captivate Assets Library online to download available free assets didn't seem to show anyplace where I could download the email icon widget and save it into the appropriate Adobe Captivate Widget folder.  Can someone point me in the right direction or I may just attach and email the emailicon.wdgt file at home to myself but just wondering if there is a Widget library online.

I am teaching myself about Captivate. I have found a couple of ready-made themes that I like, but in both there is one color that I would like to change. Is there some way I can find the "master palette" for the theme and change that one color, and then have that change propagate through all the Master Slides?

Hello all. I would like the to use the standard TOC to navigate to a certain point of time within a slide - slide 1 @ 05:32mins, for example. Is this possible?For instance, with the new interactive video feature, I find the duration of my 'slides' getting longer and the amount shorter. It is now becoming more important ant to navigate to a specific point whiten a slide. It would also be nice to keep my custom skinned TOCs.Many thanks in advance, Harry Rose
