Good afternoon,Can the retake button provide a different set of 10 questions? Does the Question Pool only provide questions in a random order?  I need the question pool to pull questions in a specific order. When the student fails they can retake the quiz but they are provided a different set of 10 questions. Thank you.

I have made a quiz and am having a problem with the failure function.  On passing, it works fine and proceeds to the congratulations screen.  Failure, however just stops.  I have it set in quiz preferences to jump to the failure slide.  On the failure slide (on enter) I have it set to continue.  Anyone have ideas on where else to check?Thanks in advance.

Hi,As soon as I publish a MP4-project with videos and audio, the audio-quality becomes much worse (about 14 .cpvc files). When I play the project before I publish it, it sounds perfectly fine. Afterwards publishing it has weird noises and weird stops (only the audio). Does somebody have the same issue and knows how to stop it?Thank you.Adrian

HelloI am looking for a solution to dramatically increase the speed to prepare a final assessment based on 15 questions randomly taken from a database of more than 400 questions split in 6 pools. Because of the lenght of answers and question text, the template I am using is based on a Responsive Project.Currently this process takes a lot of time (almosto 1 day) and I can't understand the reason. Files with questions are not so big (the biggest one is 150 kb).Many thanks for all your suggestion.Andrea

     I am trying to upload an MP4 from Camtasia 2018 into Captivate 8. The message  that populates;AME Conversion:The video you have selected is not  a Flash file. Adobe Captivate will convert it to FLV or F4V format using Adobe Media Encoder (AME).I check the path of where the format will go and then click on Yes. The Adobe Media Encoder populates.I then click on the + sign to upload the MP4. I receive a File Import Error. IT states that the mp4 could be be imported. Source file has no importable streams.I have no idea how to resolve this issue. I need to upload the MP4 file. I used the same Captivate with Camtasia 8 with no issues. I then upgrade camtasia to 2018 and now i have this issue.Please help.

I sent audio from my iPhone through email and downloaded it to my computer, and it said it doesn't support that type of file, how do I change that?

Hi!  Is there a fix for Captivate 9  regarding You Tube URLs being truncated?  I saw one for 2017.  I copied and pasted a URL in my file using the You Tube Widget and it got truncated.  Then I typed in the URL and tested it and the URL does not work. Thanks,Norma

I recently installed the 10.0.1.285 patch to Captivate 2017 hopefully to solve the problem of the mouse and its movement not showing when recording a software simulation. When I went to test if the patch had fixed the problem I got the following message when trying to insert a software simulation slide ... "Capture is disallowed since High-density display was detected. Please set 'DpiAwareness = 1" in AdobeCaptivate.ini and restart the application"FYI ... Since I'm on Windows 10, I also change the display settings to 100% before starting a project. Any assistance would be much appreciated ... especially since I'm due soon to start a really big project!

I'm using James voice in my course but I have just noticed that It cant pronounce well almost all words which ends with "rs", Example realtors . IS there anyone who has managed to solve this issue with any solution? I have tried to check in VTML documentation but didn't find any solution.

I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction for creating a pre-test using the application simulation.  I have been asked to create a pre-test using a simulation but everything I search for is talking about questions, the don't want questions they just want to gauge the users ability to use the application.I already have a quiz which works fine and shows which sections they have passed/not passed and then allows them to just do those sections again.Any help would be very much appreciated.

First time poster, wasn't able to find an answer on a couple captivate questions and was hoping for some help.1. with the ability to make a button active/inactive, i know you can adjust the slider on the timeline and can disable the pause altogether but is there a way to switch the active/inactive states?  (ie the button shows up at 30 seconds but cannot actually be selected until 60 seconds?)2. one of my goals in a current project is to present the learners with buttons representing the course objectives on one slide.  all but the first objective are inactive to start though.  from here they will select the first objective, complete the material, and return to the objective slide with the first objective marked complete.  they will now be able to re-select the first objective to review it or select the now unlocked second objective continuing through until all 5 objectives have been completed.  this will then prompt the custom next button to appear and at this

I am having an issue with the drop down list choices for the match game quiz.  I have two choices (A, B) that match up to a list of statements.  The problem is: when viewing the project as an executable file, the letters A and B show up clearly.  When I prepare the project for SCORM and the project is viewed via a web page, the A and B are sometimes replaced with an X for both of the optional choices (A, B).  In the screenshot attached, the letters are showing correctly, however in the web page version, the letters A, B are replaced with the letter X.  The funny thing is, it doesn't always occur - it appears to be sporadic.  Any ideas as to the cause?  Web browsers tested:  IE 11, Chrome 70.0.3538.102 (Official Build) (32-bit). We are currently experiencing some issues with our modules and ios devices. I was wondering if this is a known issues and/or if there are any work arounds or updates expected to help resolve this issue. I am also not sure whether this is a Captivate issues or a LMS, Moodle issue. Our team uses the LMS, Moodle, to host our HTML5 SCORM packages. Grades are given through Moodle based on the quizzes in the SCORM. We recently updated our Moodle site to Moodle 3.2.7. To create our modules, we use Captivate 8 and Captivate 2017.  We are currently seeing an issue with our updated Captivate 8 modules (right now we have a rush of training for this course). People are reporting that they do not receive a “Continue” button on the quiz results page. This appears to be only happening with people who are using Apple products and browsers (MACs, iphones, ipads, Safari).  In addition, some people with ios devices are not having their grades recorded each time. We are testing converting our projects from Captivate 8 & 2017 to Captivate 2019. We currently use Breakpoint mode for all our modules, this is our preferred method. We know the settings for responsive text need to be set at auto, % in order to "be responsive." We have no problem with our other versions, however in Captivate 2019. the feature of auto, % for text just does not seem to be working. Simply put, the text is not shrinking see images below. I also tested creating a brand new project with Captivate 2019 and got the same results. Does the text responsiveness no longer work in Captivate 2019 Breakpoint mode? Or is this simply a bug that can/will be fixed? We want to move our projects to an upgraded version of Captivate but we cannot proceed unless we know it will work responsively in all views.Converting Older versions to CP 2019:New project in CP 2019:

I am currently using Adobe Captivate 9.0.2.437. I have a course that I published as SCORM 2004. It has audio and some interactions (buttons to show text when clicked...nothing fancy).  When I load it to SCORM cloud, it works. When I load it to our LMS (SumTotal), it doesn't load. I just sit and stare at the "Loading content...please wait" message on the white screen. If full disclosure, I used a training we launched in September as the "base" for this training. Very similar programs. Why start from scratch? 🙂 The original version is working just fine. I've built a couple knowledge checks (all questions, no audio), and they work just fine in the LMS.Any ideas why this other program may not work? I contacted Adobe support. They told me since it's loading to SCORM cloud and working, there is nothing they can do.Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have!

thursday it tells me Ineed to resubscribe ipurchased the program from b&H so i would always have a backup editor because I will  shoot projects 7 days a weekhow is it i own a program one day and the next I don't. I didn't sign a lease or a contract i bought a program Adobe you have some explaining to do and you costing me money and time!

Hi all. I'm trying to pop-up a screenshot png on top of a quiz. See the attached images. Clicking on the small image reveals the larger version, along with a white background and an X button to hide them. Except all the Quiz elements are forced to the top of the layer stack, overlaying the toggled elements. I know how to hide the TOC, but are there any workarounds vis a vis the quiz elements?

I am using Captivate 2019, version 11.0.1.I have an 80 slide module that I published to HTML5 and uploaded to my company's server. It loaded perfectly fine.I then went to the project and added Closed Captions to all of the audio. Published, uploaded, and it does not load in the browser. Spinning wheel of doom.So I disabled the Closed Captions (by deselecting all of the checkmarks for each audio file), republished, reuploaded, and it loads fine again.HTML5 doesn't like something in the CC and I'm not sure where to even begin to look. Is there a list somewhere of characters I cannot have in CC?Edit: When I just publish the 1st slide (everything else hidden), it loads and the CC works as expected. So the CC itself isn't broken necessary entirely. Just some slides.

Hello; with Chrome no longer running swf files, what is the best practice for publishing?  I've published both swf and html versions for my elearning projects, but have received my first complaint from someone who had Chrome as their default browser and got a blank black screen when they tried to open the link to my example.What are the pros and cons of publishing html only?  Is there another better solution?Thank you very much.

I am creating an HTML5 software simulation where the correct answer is to press the Page Up key on the keyboard. This advances to the next slide, but also the browser reads the keystroke and scrolls to the top, confusing my test takers.Is there a way to capture the Page Up keystroke in my simulation, but not scroll the browser window?Using Adobe Captivate 2017 (version 10)

I add a hotspot to a 360 slide and choose the action of Display Text. It works but my question is how do I format the text container and/or the text that appears? Am I missing something here?

HI. Is there an easy way to delete and re-set the title's for the slides in a Table of Contents in Captivate 2019?  Since enabling the TOC, I have since updated individual slide names but the TOC continues to show the old names.... I assumed that the TOC titles would auto update to match the changes but this is not happening. Thanks.

Good morning,I've been asked to edit an existing captivate project and "hide" or exclude the narration for the project temporarily.Can I do this?  and How?  I haven't had much luck searching in the HELP files, nor the forums.From what I can figure, I would have to remove each narration.  Which I can do a copy and paste, so I don't lose the narration completely.Thanks,
