Hi all, Quiz Preferences - Completion CriteriaDoes anyone know if the 'Slide Views 100%' option is branch aware? Or does this simply mean that user have to view 100% of ALL slides within the course/module for it to be considered as 'Completed'?Thanks in advance for any advice,Lee

Hello,I published a course using Captivate 8. It runs fine locally, but when I load it onto our customer's site - nothing. Just a white screen and a spinning wheel. Doesn't matter which browser I use. I tried publishing to just Flash, just HTML, and both. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi all,I’ve created a course based on system compliance.This is the scenario:The course requires bookmarking (remember where the user left off if exiting early for some reason)If they fail the course, they need to re-take the entire course, not just the quiz (we want them to learn the content, not just guess the answers several times)The course has branches (different processes for different groups of salespeople)This is the problem:Users would like the option to resume from where they left off.Enabling ‘Send Resume Data’ provides a way for the user to get back to the point where they last left off, that’s great. However, if they exit the course after viewing at least one question slide, it’s considered that they ‘attempted’ the quiz.  As a result, this marks the course as ‘Completed’.I need a way for them to be able to get to the end of the course, answering the questions within the branch they are on and be able to fail. Attempted to publish an HTML5 only project to Adobe Connect, and received an error message saying to check my internet connection. Same project will publish as SWF only.Spoke with Abobe directly, and after much back and forth was told there's a bug related to the recent Adobe Connect upgrade. Has anyone else encountered this? Any word on a possible fix? This is beginning to impact my ability to get my job done.

I have run into a strange issue. I have created a software simulation with Captivate 2019. There are a number of places where the user enters information into a number of textboxes. This all works perfectly on a Windows PC with any type of browser... and it works on a MAC with a Firefox browser. However, if I use Safari on the same MAC, I am getting some strange things where the text box is not showing up and the user cannot see the text they are typing. Any thoughts?

Is there something that I am missing?  At work we are using Captivate 7 to create Video Demos of our web software.  While the screen capture is happening drop down menus on our site will not work correctly.  The work fine when I stop the capture.  So it is clear that is something that is happening in the screen capture process.  Any ideas?

Hello. I am using a modified font to write hindi numbers. The font was installed on my pc and worked well with the intery text in captivate 9. But when I published it and tried the output the font did not used and the numbers appeared in arabic format not hindi. What is the best Windows app to use with Captivate 2017 for doing voice over recordings? I want to make sure they are clear and that I don't have any issues with uploading.

I am using Captivate 8. I noticed the larger I make the Text Entry Box the larger the X box becomes. Is there a way to keep it the size it normally shows up in smaller Text Entry boxes?

I am creating a software simulation and have a few snippets of code that are working differently upon execution. I have tested these with various alerts to see that the code follows the structure and it appears that the cpCmndGotoFrameAndResume is not functioning when I assign a value to it from a TEB.... It does work if I'm using a smart shape however and executing the code from there. Recently we have noticed quiz scoring is randomly incorrect. For example, when a quiz max score is 200 points, some users will show out of 1000 instead of 200 causing them to "fail". See my example below. I find no correlation to the number of attempts or versions, etc. Is anyone experiencing this? Is there a known issue?

I am a little perplexed that rollovers which are identified as non-compliant with HTML5 were still operational in my SCORM file as described below.I have uploaded an HTML5 SCORM .zip file to our Saba LMS to test multi-state buttons as well as validate non-compliance of the rollover object. My development tool is Captivate 2017 and I am using IE11 for my validation. Interestingly... The Continue buttons seem to work just fine.The multi-state buttons while a little clunky, were functional.Most interesting was that the rollover areas seem to work…a little puzzling as the built-in Captivate HTML5 tracker (Window ->HTML5 Tracker) called out these slides… FYI, the course bookmarked just fine and once I touched all of the slides, Saba marked me as Successfully completed. Though the rollovers worked, I am a little leery.  We further tested in IE11 by disabling shockwave Flash in the IE11 browser settings.  We also viewed via an Android.  Still, the rollovers worked. Hi! I have a picture of a screen (screen_m) that shows 0 or 10 when I push a button A. The button toggle the screen number by using the Object Stage panel.Then I have a second button B that shows a specific state (mute) of the screen (screen_m). The B button should toggle between (mute) and the last visited state, that could be either 0 or 10. Can't figure out how to do that. There is no "Last visited slide"version for the Object States.Any ideas?

It was my reason to leave "Articulate Storyline" and buy "Adobe Captivate" but Adobe as always disappointed me again ... The idea is this:When I click a button it should change color to green. (It's working)All the other buttons must be reset to normal state. There can be only one...green. Hello everybody!Before I write my question, I must say that I am not very familiar with adobe captivate yet. Therefore, my questions may be a bit silly for those who are already familiar with it.I created a file and published as SWF and HTML5. The output is a folder containing several things, including:- multiscreen.html;-project_name.htm;-project_name.swf;-project_name.pdf;-project_name_fs.htm;-index.html;-goodbye.html.When I click on the multiscreen.html, it opens a blank page (in any browser). The files project_name.htm and project_name_fs.htm open a blank page with the option "Click here to open in full screen". When you click on it, a blank page appears and nothing happens (in any browser). The project_name.swf does not open at all on my computer. The project_name.pdf works fine, but it is required the flash player. The index.html opens, but it takes about 30 seconds to open (which I think is quite a lot). My first question is: the index.html is always the file that I need to open

We've recently updated to Captivate 2019 from Captivate 8. I've installed all updates the Captivate updater can find. This happens for both projects converted from Captivate 8 (that used to publish and open with no issues through C8) and ones created new in 2019. I made a test project that's just one slide with Test on it and still get the error. The issue is:Published projects open no problem from my local machine.I copy them to our network share, and they open fine when copied there and opened from the directory.Our company has a url alias to the files on that share so students can access the presentations (e.g., \\Share\TestProject maps to https://ourdomain/training/TestProject). I was previously publishing courses in Scorm 1.2 format, but I now need to publish in Scorm 2004 4th Edition.  In 1.2, I was had to select a Status Representation when publishing.  The options were Incomplete/Complete and Incomplete/PassFail.  Where do I make that select with 2004 format?  It doesn't appear Captivate gives me the option to select a Status Representation in Scorm 2004.

Hi All,I've been wrestling with ultilizing advanced actions and apply effects together forever.  I really need to get this figured out, but I never seem to see a tutorial on exactly what I'm trying to achieve.Here is that I'm trying to do:I have a slide with three boxes on it.  Every object on the slide is set to show to end of slide and starts after 0 seconds:When you click on a box, the following advanced action is supposed to occur:Basically, when one of the three boxes is clicked, a window is supposed to appear and the state of the button itself is supposed to change to show it was clicked.  The first time the box is clicked, a zoom effect is supposed to apply, and any subsequent attempts cause the window to simply appear.  At least, that is what is supposed to be happening.The end result is thus:Straightforward, right?  Something to add.  There is an advanced action set up for the slide itself as well:This variable tells the course that this slide has

Good morning,I'm trying to upload and/or update a SCORM 1.2 project from Captivate 2017. I've uploaded the project successfully before, but now that I'm attempting to update it I get an error returned with "Invalid PackageThe specified file is not a valid SCORM, AICC, IMS or Tincan content package.The file "tincan.xml" in the content package could not be parsed or every ancestor directory does not contains a single sub-directory. Please check that the file is well formed and valid or every ancestor direcotry contains only a single sub-directory."This very well could be user error, but I have not changed the reporting settings for the project in between updates. I can't think of anything that would keep this from uploading correctly. I've even tried to upload the latest update as a new project itself and get the same error returned.I've attached an screen cap of the reporting settings just in case that helps diagnose.Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello Captivate Forum - I'm running into an issue with audio attached to buttons. Here's my scenario,I have several audio buttons on a slide. The buttons work fine upon first click. Press a button and the audio file plays. However, if the same audio button or another audio button is pressed before the previous audio is finished, the audio only plays for a brief moment before it cuts out. The best guess I can come up with is that when the second button is pressed it only allows the audio to play for what the remaining time on the first buttons audio was. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm running Captivate 9. My buttons are set up as "On Success: Play Audio"I've tried attaching the audio to the "On Success Caption" as well with the same result.
