I am using Captivate 2017. I have created 10 quiz question. Below is the last question.After I have click the submit button, it will bring me to Quiz result. If I try to click on "Review Quiz", it should take me back to question 1 . When I clicked on "Review Quiz", it brings me to Question 1 but I am unable to select the options.When I click on >> to go to the next question, it brings me to the slide below. Please help as I am wondering if there is any linking issue.

Hi!I have created a SCORM compliant zip package in Captivate 2017 that I then loaded into our LMS. I have the SCORM player settings set to play the video in frame with a "return to site" at the top in a navigation bar. There is a triangular "Play" button to the left of the "return to site" that shows as "next" when I hover over it. We don't want it there but I can't figure out how to get rid of it. My boss created a video in Articulate and his video does not have the next button, but the settings look the same. Has anyone run across this or know how to get rid of it? (It advances the video to the review/star page)

I searched the forums, and found an old thread about Advanced Actions (AA) printing.  Has there been any thought to make it easy to print the Advanced Action steps?  Have other CP users found ways to print AA steps? I know it is possible to do screen capture, but I believe this is not very practical.  I appreciate everyone's feedback.

Hello all,I'm using a scrolling text widget in a course. The client requested that we use Trivantis ReviewLink for them to review the course. In ReviewLink the course is showing programming language in the widget i.e., <br /><br />b(2) instead of a space. It doesn't show that way when I preview for HTML. Does anyone know if this could just be an issue in ReviewLink and that it will not show when published to SCORM? Or, is there something I need to do to correct this before publishing?Thanks in advance.

It's a hard crash. The only way to get the computer back up is to unplug it from the surge protector and reboot.  It's random, but started after the update.  No message when it crashes.  I have no idea if it is a kernel panic.Apple says it could be related to a specific program.  If your Mac spontaneously restarts or displays a message that it restarted or shut down because of a problem - Apple Sup…   Has anyone else experienced this?  I've replaced the surge protector, ran diagnostics (no issues found), and thought if anyone else had this issue, I could start trying to isolate the cause.  My next step is dragging the beast to the Apple Store for a new power supply.Thanks!Alice

I published this as a Scorm 1.2 file and found an error in my slides, so I fixed it and tried to publish (within a few minutes) and now I am getting the message below. I am unable to publish any file now. 

My video files are not playing after I publish the content, but works within captivate when I "Preview in Browser". And the rest of the slides (buttons, demos, quiz reporting) perform as expected after publishing.When I publish and view the .swf output, the project will start, and slides which do not have a video file will perform as expected. Once encountering a slide with a video however, the video loading bar appears and it will continue to "load" but never play. If I continue to the next slide (quiz question), that slide works. I've tried different videos of different lengths, formats (MP4, F4V), video types (event, slide synch), on different projects, and published to different locations (on my desktop, on SharePoint). I noticed there was a patch for a similar problem for Captivate 6, but that patch does not seem to be available and I haven't seen a similar solution for Captivate 8.0 (the version I'm using). Captivate 2010When Captivate publishes and adds the "Poster" at the beginning, it also displays the playbar for the course. This would not normally be a problem except that it appears that all the buttons are enabled and active, and some are not (very confusing for the user). They show active with tooltips when you roll over, but only the play button works. Since the desired result is to have the user click the big button center screen, why is the playbar shown at all? I can't find a way to remove it because it displays before any advanced actions or javascript are processed.I am hoping this is fixed in 2019, but we can't upgrade until the fix for "Bricked" is made generally available.Bricked, cannot publish to HTML 5 with Upgraded from CP2017 to CP2019 Apparently, the hot path worked for JoeCap but I have not seen confirmation of a GA patch.Does anyone have any ideas?

How do I turn off the mouse clicks for Captivate 8?  It appears that the most recent set of instructions are from 2013 and the dialogue box has changed.  I'll also say that I'm brand new to Captivate

Hello Friends,  I am creating a responsive slide. I have three fluid boxes along the top to form a navigation bar. In the left box (FB6), I added two smart shapes and sized them the way I wanted. I copied the shapes in FB6 and tried to paste into the other two boxes (FB7, and FB8) however the shapes change their size when pasted. I have verified that FB6, FB7, and FB8 have the same fluid box attributes, and have the same height and width. I do not understand why the smart shapes change size when they are pasted into similar size fluid boxes. Do you have any ideas?Sincerely,Peter

A candidate for a position submitted a sample Captivate work and I can't get it to open.  I am receiving the below error in Captivate 9.  I also tried to open his backup and I am receiving the same error.  It is only 50,958 KB so it isn't the size that is the issue.Is it possible they created the file in a different (newer) version of Captivate?   How can I tell the version it was created in?  The Project.txt file says this "Captivate","generatorVersion":"11.0.0".  Does that tell you what version it was created in?Any help you can provide with this would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!![Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Comments is to ask about the operation of the Forum, not a specific program][Moved from the Comments forum to the specific Program forum... Is there a way, or a Guideline on how to "clean" the CPM.js file?If I understand correctly, when you export a project as an HTML5 file the  CPM.js  always the same. So even if TOC is deactivated, if you don't have a playbar and no audio. All code needed for these features is still there!Is there a "slim" version of the file or a guideline to help me clean this up?CP

Hi I am running Adobe Captivate 2019 Release 11.01.266.(Windows 10 Home version 1803 - 64bit, 8GB of RAM)When I create a 'Virtual Reality Project', the 'dots' slide duly opens with the grey '+ Add 360 Image / Video' button in the middle.However, when I click this button, nothing happens?Anyone else had this issue?Cheers,John

We are trying to publish a course as HTML5 to be viewed using Chrome that includes a hyperlink that will open a web page in a new window. When testing the hyperlink in the published HTML5 output in Chrome, we are getting a 404 error. The only way the hyperlink will open correctly in Chrome is when it is published as SWF. However, the hyperlink will open with the HTML5 output using IE.The reason we want to use HTML5 in Chrome is for our end users to view all courses in the same browser but not have to remember all the different things they need to do to turn off company enabled pop-up blockers or have one-offs that they need to view in IE instead.Is there a reason hyperlinks to web pages do not work in Chrome publishing as HTML5? Is there a way to get around this without publishing as SWF?

Hi,Is there a way to resume a video from where you left off? If I add a video file in a slide and the learner exits the course and comes back later, will the video resume from where it left off? As far as I know, bookmarking only works on the last slide visited. Has anything changed with the 2019 release?Regards,Karl

We have trouble after installing Captivate 9. The installation finishes but if you start up the application "an error has occurred. Captivate needs to close". You don't have the chance to edit the preferences and change to a local path, it just crashes. Windows 10 v1607 build 14393.2248. Older installations that used to work have the same problem, it seems to relate to Windows updates. Completely removing and re-install gives the same problem. Some Adobe help is needed here..

In the Preferences > Defaults > Object Defaults > Select drop-down list, I selected Mouse, so that I could set the mouse to display for the rest of the slide as a default for the project.How can I change the Display For to "End of Slide"?As shown in the screenshot here, this option is disabled.Thank you.

Hi guys,New to Captivate.Looking for people/sources of knowledge which could help me I'm wanting to track when users click on things. I have created 'interactive' modules inside of Adobe Animate and have imported them into Captivate.The reason why I use Animate before Captivate is that I have a lot more freedom to do exactly what I want via CreateJS.Is there a way I can add some code to Animate file, before I export as an AOM (for import to captivate), so that I can just go to captivate and publish the scorm wrapped module without messing around with code inside Captivate? Or would I need to figure out how to do all of this within captivate?At this stage i've been scouring the internet for the last few days looking for answers but with no luck so far.Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello,I had successfully created some branching scenarios and everything was working fine. Then inevitably changes to the course were requested. I was making updates to the course. I published and tested in the LMS. I noticed that one of the branching scenarios wasn't working but in captivate it's linked to the right slides.I have cleared the cache. I have duplicated the slide and deleted the old one in hopes that it would get rid of the error. I have re-linked the slide to the slide it needs to go to. Nothing works. It doesn't work  in any preview mode. And now more branching scenarios are failing upon subsequent previews. The changes I made (if it matters) were to add quiz questions and some survey questions.  All the linear navigation works up until my branching scenarios (for now at least)Please help.

I'm using Captivate 2017 and I'd like three click boxes at the end of a course to report if the learner clicked them or not, back to an LMS for reporting. The LMS is Learn.com.Two click boxes open a website, and one opens a PDF. I would like to track if learners click these boxes are not. Is there a way to do this in Captivate 2017.?I tried adding it to the quiz, but that didn't work how I wanted. I wonder if an advanced action is what I need, but I'm not sure. Hi Can anyone help... i seem to have a red screen appearing at the end of my Captivate project when previewing...My project is currently 9 slides long each containing a short video and simple graphics and no interactions.. I'm working on a PC using Windows 10The only info I can find online seems very outdated...Any advice would be much appreciated!Many thanksKim

I'm not sure if i should be setting any specific settings when recording a video demo?When i import my video demo as a video back into my captivate project the quality is very poor and pixalated looking...?  You can see from the image below... my graphics are crisp but the video demo is terrible...?

Hi Within my Captivate project I would like to show a laptop screen displaying a software simulation which I have recorded separately.  The simulation is of me navigating to an online resource which we own and browsing through a few of the features.  I have two questions:1 - What's the difference between a software simulation and a video demo? Which one should i be using?2 - I expected to be able to save my simulation (let's call it that for ease) as a mp4 and insert it as a video over the laptop graphic in my project.... I can insert it but how do i make it play?  It plays out of Captivate but not when i import it as a video?  Any help would be very much appreciated!Many thanskKim

Hi There,I have a 'complete' button at the end of the eLearning that I have included in Quiz. It has 10 points associated with it (see below image).In order to be marked as complete, users need to get 90 points (including the 10 points associated with the button).For some reason, the button is being marked as 'incorrect' in my LMS, so users are not getting the 10 points (see the second image below).How could they be being marked as 'incorrect' when all they need to do is a click a button and there IS no 'incorrect' answer? Why would it only mark as incorrect sometimes and not others?This has happened to me before and I've never been able to complete it. The only solution I can find is a work around - two 10 point buttons that the user has to click at the end of the eLearning - keeping the requirement for completion at 90 points so that if ONE is marked incorrect, they still are marked as complete.My worry is that both of them will be marked as incorrect at some point and the learner wo
