I published a random question SCORM 1.2 exam using HTML5 only (No SWF). Everything works fine except when I 'Submit All' the exam does not automatically advance to the 'Results' page. I have to manually advance it using the play button. I tried to find the properties of the 'Submit All' button to see if I could edit that but that appears to be a hidden feature. When I publish in HTML5 and SWF everything works fine.Thanks

Hello everyone, I’m developing eLearning where I have 10 “main” pages from which user goes to “detail” pages. The user can go to each detail page from various main pages so I need to direct the user to the same main page from which he came from. I managed this by putting an action “Go to the last visited” on the button to go back on each detail page. This all works fine. The problem is when student exits the eLearning (closes the explorer window) while he is on the detail page. When he resumes the eLearning he correctly gets to the same page where he left off but when he clicks the go back button he doesn’t get back to the main page but to the next page instead. And then he is stuck between those two detail pages because both of them has “go to the last visited” action on the back button. I assume that the eLearning/LMS remembers the last visited page but not the one that precedes it. Is there a way how to store and then restore that information?I’m using Captivate 9 and in quiz advanc

I'm hoping someone can help me.  I'm fairly new to the world of SCORM and using Adobe Captivate. I need to create a Security Questionnaire which is required to be integrated in the module for the Illinois Sec. of State training program.With the image posted below as a reference, I would like to ask the potential student a series of questions before the test starts. Randomly during test, there will be a random pop up that will ask a SINGLE question from the original series of questions previously asked. I hope that makes sense.The single question must be timed and given the user a opportunity to answer a (1) times before given another question to try to answer; after 3 fail attempts, the module will restart or fail the user.How would I integrate this kind of setup in Adobe Captivate. Is there a way to have text to speech on a smart shape? My smart shapes have been converted to buttons and I want to user to click on the button and here the text be read allowed, is this possible? I know that I can insert audio for a specific shape to be played once its click on, however I'd like to use one of the Microsoft voices, Julie, as my speaker. Thanks!

Here's my latest problem:  we have a module which is basically just a quiz using random questions from a single pool.  The only slides are a title slide, an intro slide, 20 random quiz questions, a quiz results slide, and a final "here's what you have to do next" slide.In preview modes and even when published, it lets me navigate around as expected, answering all the questions, and when they're finally all answered, clicking on Submit All seems to do nothing.  The button doesn't even react.  It's like it's made of wood.  I am not sent to the quiz results slide as I would expect, but I can continue navigating through the question slides and can even change my answers, which maybe is not surprising since the Submit All button doesn't seem to be active at all, even though I've answered all the questions.Does anyone have any idea how I might fix this?

Hi Everyone, I was working on a Captivate Project all morning and it suddenly crashed at about noon. My last save was apparently last night but a .cpbackup file showed up in my folder, as did two DMP files. The problem is I can't get the back up file to open. I've tried changing it to a .cptx but it still won't open and when I look at the file size it says 0KB. Is there anything I can do to recover my work? I'm super frustrated with Captivate right now.

I've encountered several errors when attempting to publish a specific Cp 2017 project.When I attempt to publish swf only to a folder, I receive a Published Failed error.When I attempt to publish swf and HTML5 to a folder I receive this error:I receive this same error if I attempt to publish HTML5 in anyway other than zipped by itself. Troubleshooting so far:Cleared cache Ran the CleanPreferencesWin bat file. Confirmed that it is only this specific project encountering the issues by by publishing similarly created Cp 2017projects.Of course rebooted machine and Cp.Confirmed I have the latest 2017 update. The project itself is 50 slides. It contains 80+ variables and at least 200 advanced actions. My guess is the project became corrupted somehow. However, I wanted to see if others have experienced this issue and ways in which they may have corrected the problems.Thanks for any input in advance!

How can I find out what the exact completion/success criteria was from published captivate files? I tried looking in the manifest and several other places but nothing jumps out as to what the completion/success criteria was specifically set to.Thanks for your help in advance.

I am just in the process of doing some basic evaluation.  If anyone can point me in a general direction that would be really helpful.We are wanting to produce eLearning courses with Captivate.  These will be used in a CUSTOM built LMS.  Embedded into a web and mobile app.While I know this can be done with SCORM, the HTML5 output from Captivate would be much better.Changes to the JavaScript etc, would be fine, however I would prefer these to be minimized.Basically, I want to be able to:Is there a JavaScript event model (and is there documentation for it somewhere)Can I present a course starting on a specific page (ie the last page the user looked at)Can I set specific details for a page when I load them.  Think user interactions that have been completed before.I really just don't even know where to look for information.  If there are any specific keywords I can search, that may help.

Is there a way to publish to HTML5 and not have the Playbar?If not, is there a convenient way to remove it?

Good afternoon - any help VERY gratefully received regarding this please:A very similar thread has come up before but with no real answers.  It related to Paul Wilson's article on 'Prevent Responsive Text Pop-Outs from Appearing'.  These are the little notepad icons that appear (and you click through to a lightbox) when the shape you hold text in is not large enough for the text.  The idea being that the user clicks the notepad and sees the full text in a lightbox before continuing on.I have these in multiple responsive projects using Captivate 2017.  I'm using Breakpoint View mode and I'm not using Fluid Boxes.  I'm doing 3 versions (PC, iPad and iPhone).  I'm just looking at PC view at the moment (not ipad or phone). Hi All,I am using Adobe Presenter 9.When I Publish the project, it shows Blank page in the Chrome and Firefox Web Browser, but it does work in Internet Explorer.Would appreciate any help to resolve this issue.Also, really like to know, is there a way to output in HTML5 Format?Because many web browsers are giving error for SWF files and do not support Flash Plugins.Thanks so much.

We are having a problem that appears in the html5 preview, but not in Flash.  We're using Captivate 2017, with a template that has been updated many times from version to version of Captivate.We have a colored bar on every master slide.  We have click boxes set to go to the next slide, with one attempt, and the captions set to pause to display captions. if the answer is correct, we have no success caption; and the project continues to the next slide.  If the answer is incorrect, the failure caption displays to explain the correct answer, then the  project continues to the next slide.The problem we are having is that, after the failure caption displays, the next slide shows the white background, then the colored bar, with an annoying "flash" effect. If we set it to Continue instead of Next Slide, the flash disappears, but the slide has to play out, which loses the effect of the simulation, where clicking a button goes immediately to the next screen.  If we turn

Hello, Is there an easy way to enlarge the image of the slide that prints when publishing to Word as handouts? It's a little too small to read. Hi - I am a consultant working for a company that uses Captivate on occasion but does not have in-house experts or support available for the tool. My team is recording "video demos" for training which are mostly PowerPoint slides with a live speaker providing voiceover and playing a few pre-recorded video demos throughout. We are finding that when doing a ~30-40 min recording, we have just one PowerPoint slide in each recording (not always the same slide) that does not show up on the Captivate recording (even though it was visible on the computer screen when the recording was in progress). We also see a small box in the center of the screen either before or after this happens, which seems to indicate something has gone wrong, but there is no way to verify a slide has been skipped (or which slide) until we view the recording at the end. Hello, all.  I have a text entry box that requires users to enter a correct answer.  I have Infinite attempts selected, but am only able to enter an answer once.  How do I get the TEB to reset and accept additional attempts?I have Enter set as the shortcut key, and I have validate user input TURNED OFF, as it will then only allow correct answers to be submitted.Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!Adam

Hi all, I am on a deadline and unable to finish my projects because whenever I open (either the project or captivate directly) it seems to open and seconds later completely closes. I am using a MAC and have done many of the items to make sure the program works. 1- uninstalled Captivate and Re-Installed2- Installed Un-installed and re-installed Flash. 3- Open Captivate Directly4- Open File directly5- Shifted file from cloud directly to computer, tried to open from there.Any help you can give would be immense. Hey there,I am experiencing an issue with the "play audio" action in advanced actions. Using version 9.0.1.320.I am finding that when I use this action, conditional or standard, tied to a shape button or click box it does not work when previewing HTML5 at all. I have tried it with and without autoplay selected. I am also finding that it is inconsistently working when published in HTML as well. Other co-workers have helped me in testing with the same results. It was discovered after I completed a course last week and my mgr was reviewing it. I had several activities with feedback and she was not getting the audio for the feedback at all, but I could hear the feedback when I tested it. Then we heard about the Chrome update and realized that may have something to do with it. I updated Chrome and cleared my cache and now I am also seeing the same results with no audio. Anyone else experiencing this?
