I am creating a responsive project with a TOC. I would like learners to use this training as a quick reference guide, so it is important for me that they are able to navigate to any slide using the TOC. However, the option to "Navigate Visited Slides Only" is greyed out and cannot be disabled.  Can someone help me with this? There are other options that are weirdly greyed out. I hope there is a solution to fix them. Here is another example of greyed out options: Thank you,AnaMOPS

After we insert videos (MP4s), we are getting a white screen such as this when transitions to the next slide (video). Any recommendations on how to fix this? 

I have recently updated certain parts of my PC and had to reintall my software again (a.i. Adobe Captivate).When installing I receive the messge that the number of intallations are exceeded and I should deactivate earlier one to install this one. But this is not the case. I am reinstalling the one which was deleted in the process of PC reinstallment.I have also looked on my account but could not find any registred/ activated programs. All gone.I know I have a dated program (CC 6, and Captivate 2019) but I do not understand why they are vanished from my account. The version I have works just fine and I have no intention of purchasing another one.Thus can someone please help on how to proceed further with this? Kind regars

Hello, I would like to ask about Thai alphabet in Adobe Captivate. The Thai vowels are overlap with each other when that word has more than 1 vowels. I already installed Adobe Captivate latest version (11.8.0.586) and already tried "Requires an indic composer for Indo-Arabic language support(for newly created projects only)" in Preference but still have this issue. I've attached for more understanding (First one is correct and second one is overlap).  And another issue is when I double click these quiz text in Master slide, I cannot change to Thai language. Is it come from the system so I can not change or if I lock this object by mistake? Thank you so much.

I would like to be able to pause a scrolling software simulation, or just not start the scroll until a certain point.  I know I can take a screenshot of that first part of the scroll and create a new slide, but I want to see if there is a way to pause it mid-scroll so that I might zoom in prior to restarting the scroll. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.  I cannot provide the file as it includes proprietary information.

latest update, 11.8.0.586NOT a Fluid Box style project. I fear this may be a simple question with a simple answer, but I cannot find an answer via Google for the life of me. I have a Master Slide I am using, a results one to be specific, that I need to translate into Brazilian Portuguese. Either via some magic translation feature or via editing the text, but I need it as a new saved Master Slide so I can apply it to many Captivates. I will still need an English results slide to apply to my english projects. I was able find something called the Master Slide veiw, but I cannot edit any of the text there. Just move around textboxes and buttons.

There are 6 buttons in the home page.Button 01:Only 1st button will be active for the learner, the rest of the buttons will be disabled. When the learner clicks the 1st button it will take the learner to the 1st chapter which has 4 slides, when the learner returns to the homepage after completing the 1st chapter with 4 slides button 2 should be activatedButton 02: After button 2 is enabled, the learner clicks the 2nd button it will take the learner to the 2nd chapter which has 5 slides, when the learner returns to the homepage after completing the 2nd chapter with 5 slides button 3 should be enabled.How to write a advanced action for this kind of scenario?

I'm trying to work out an issue with multiple quiz attempts, and am hoping that some of you more experienced Captivate users can help me out.We want to have our courses set up so that users have the ability to attempt a scored quiz twice before they are prevented from trying again. I've configured the 'Quiz' options in Captivate towards this end, and have our courses uploaded to an LMS. When a user stays within the course, the functionality works as expected-- if they fail the course once, they are given the chance to retake the quiz for a second time before receiving a 'final' failing grade. However, if a user fails the quiz once and then exits the course before their second attempt, then they are given a failing score. At that point, the course is locked in the LMS and a user does not have the ability to re-launch it to retake the final quiz.I've reached out to our LMS (eLogic's 'eSSential' platform). I am pretty new to Captivate, using Captivate 5. I am recording Audio for a tutorial. First I recorded in Captivate. I wasn't happy with hissing background noise and wasn't able to reduce it to my satisfaction using the Audio editing features in Captivate. Decided to try Audacity. Exported audio file from Captivate. Loaded into Audacity. Fixed the hissing (sounds great!). Exported from Audacity as MP3 and loaded back into Captivate. Unfortunately, with some files that I've done this to, I've noticed a pretty big reduction in quality--it's kind of hollow sounding and a little bit static-y in an electronic sort of way if that makes sense. It's like the files have been corrupted a little. I tried exporting from Audacity as a WAV file, but that didn't seem to help. I'm not noticing this issue on all the slides/files, but on about half.Does anyone have any ideas for fixing this issue? I'd rather not re-record unless I have to. If I do end up doing that, would I get better results if I start

Hi,I wondered if you could help me. When I create a Quiz, everything is working right.Original View: But when I do some changes on other slides and publish the course again, the quiz is loosing elements when playing the course:But in pre-view inside of captivate everything is fine. Even when I create the slide new - it is working correct. But a second publish without touching the quiz slide will cause that issue. Does anyone have seen similar things or a hint how to solve that?

I am getting the below : Adobe Captivate 2019 - unknown error occurred. Cannot generate the recorded video clip. The disk may not have the required free space or the recording is not substantive enough to generate a video. I have reinstalled the Software twice.  I have also ensured the software is installed as an administrator.I do not get this error if I select runas Local Administrator. The user in question is saving the recording to the local drive , which she has full access to .Has anyone seen this and if so , what is the fix please?

I have assigned a shortcut key command (backspace) to a click box.  Instead of removing the text entry, it is taking the user back to the beginning of the presentation.  I need it to remove the existing entry in that box so the user can enter a new entry from the lookup. Anyone have any idea how I can get this to work?

Hi GuysI have created a simulation for software which includes a text entry field.  It is set up as having infinite attempts and as long as the user keeps the cursor in the text entry field they can delete and retype as many times as they like.HOWEVER....as soon as they click out of the text box (Anywhere on the sim) and go back in to try again, the box seems to be disabled i.e. they can no longer get the cursor in the box.Any ideas why this could be.  I have:1) Set the text entry box to pause as close to the end of the slide as possible (I cannot seem to remove the pause)2)Set infinite attempts3) Set box timing to length of slide4)Set slide length to various times (It doesn't seem to help) Am I missing something obvious?  I know learners are going to do this as a large number did this in testing  Thanks so much - K Thanks  

Hi. I am hoping to get some good feedback on system recommendations. I know the minimum system requirements for using Captivate. However, I am preparing a request for a new laptop and would like to hear what other users find they really need for be able to work efficiently, effectively and with minimal delays in Captivate. My old laptop seems to take forever to do anything when trying to build in Captivate. I plan to request more than the mimimum but supporting documentation for my request would be a tremendous asset. I thank you in advance for any input you might be willing to share.

Hi All I'm creating a captivate package. Within the package all seems to track correctly. When I export it as a SCORM I seem to have tracking issues within the LMS. I thought the LMS was the issue but if I alter settings in the main project it does affect the tracking. Any advice? Screenshots of my quiz settings attached

Learner views all slides and passes the course criteria, watches the video, and slides objects checked as complete. The learner returns to the lesson a month later, and the user must repass all course criteria to continue.It is forcing leaner to retake the lesson.I need help finding a solution that works. I have tried many suggestions from other posts, but I can't seem to fix Captivate from crashing. I have reached out to Adobe support, no response yet. And I have some Modules ready. Can I lean on the forum to help troubleshoot what could be happening?

Multiple video on responsive slides are able to play on web browser.I click on live preview on devices in Adobe captivate 2019, it only show one video playing. Is there a way to play multiple videos on one side in android devices? 

Hey,   in the first Slide of my Projekt I´m executing a Javascript code in the Script Window to generate random questions that are stored in an array and then go to the next slide. In the next slide I want to use the same array to generate a new random question and delete the previous one so that it can appear only one time.   How can I get and set javascript Variables - that are difined in the Script Window on a slide - from other sliders ? any help would be appreciated ^^    

All I want to do is pay an annual subscription for 2 Captivate licenses,  and I've been going in circles for 6 months. There is no path to a place to provide payment in the Admin Console. After several frustrating chats with support, I was finally told I needed an account manager to process payment,  and a week later I got a call from an unknown number that left no message -- turns out that was the adobe rep. I had a very nice conversation over email and was shown where to update my credit card information, and did so immediately. That was 6 weeks ago. Today I got an email from Adobe saying my account balance was overdue -- for the exact amount of the two Captivate subscriptions. Really, in 2022, why can I not provide payment thru the website of a company the size of Adobe???   

I am very new to this technology and to Captivate so apologies in advance!  I created a virtual tour for my company through Captivate on my desktop computer. Today, I downloaded Captivate on my laptop and opened up the virtual tour file. The virtual tour is made up of 360 photos with multiple hotspots on each photo. When I went to preview the project in HTML5, the hospots don't work. All other buttons do. However, the hotspots work perfectly fine when I preview the project in HTML5 on my desktop. I am doing the same exact thing on the desktop with the same exact file but it just won't work on my laptop. When I publish the file to my laptop and open it, the 360 photos do not show up at all (I'm assuming that's because they are not on my laptop yet). Not sure if it is an issue that occurred when transferring the file over to my laptop? The Captivate version I have is up to date and I am opening in the latest version of Chrome.  Please ELI5!

Hi I have set up a course for medical staff where they watch a series of Demo videos, complete some try me simulations and then are directed to attempt the assessment.The assessment consists of the completion of 4 mini simulations. The SME would like each assessment simulation to report a score (e.g.4/10, 8/10, 10/10, 5/10)Then have a total score to output on a results page once all are complete (e.g. 27/40  You have passed this module)Is this even possible?  I can only get the 4 mini assessments to output into one final Results page i.e. the score out of 40…Thank you

Please help!! We are having issues with the audio automatically and gradually increasing in volume. The issue is not apparent during recording, rather it occurs after being published. Preview does not show the same issues. Please advise on what we can do to mitigate this problem?

Hello! The SCORM is not grading and registering a 0%/Fail in our Moodle LMS. I was blaming the LMS but now I think there is some obscure setting in Captivate that I am missing. It must be grading because it has the "Congrats, you passed", yet the formulas do not seem to be calculating. I have compared the Quiz Pref to ones that are working and just cannot find a reason.Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would sure be appreciated. Thank you! Nancy
