This is what I want to do:First 10 seconds: Have puppet scaled at a specific size: 25%.Seconds 10-12: Use keyframes to upscale the size of the puppet: 40%.Seconds 12-15: Keep puppet at the 40% size.Seconds 15-17: Use keyframes again to upscale the size of the puppet even more: 60%.Seconds 17 to end, keep puppet at 60% size.I have not found a way to do that. It appears that the Scale keyframes can only be used once in the entire timeline.Any suggestions?
keep getting error message when trying to editmy character
I'm setting up my first character in Adobe Character animator. Butmy shoulder is bending in a wierd way when I move it up. Do you have any ideas of what I can do to fix it?
Hello,For some reason the position-based walk is not working, the character moves between position keyframes but the feet are not walking. I am using downloaded characters. not creating my own!So what am I missing here?In some tuorials, the guy just add 2 keyframes for postion and the characyter is walking. Any help please?
Hi everyone. I have finished my puppet.She walks just fine... all 3 views.The issue that I am having is that she won't stop walking even though I have the Left and Right Arrow keys set.I have to keep resetting the scene to get her to go back to her starting spot.I recorded her walking onto the screen. The recording is fine. but outside of the recording she is still walking! Also when I drag my frame bar over the timeline to see where the characters are etc. she doesn't show up like all of the others. The only way I can see what she is doing is to press play and watch the recording over and over. I have looked all over the internet and this site. I have watched all of the Okay Samurai videos. I can not find anything for the newest version of adobe character animate. Please if you have any ideas that would be wonderful.I am not allowed to post the file here... sorry. Hi, There, I'm brand new to Adobe CH and I have followed a Rigging Tutorial by Okay Samurai to create my puppet I can't get the eyes working, I feel like all of the layers are correct but after some troubleshooting i notice that my "Left/Right Pupil Range" "Left/Right Pupil Size" And "Left/Right Blink" Tags are all the size of the Canvas like 2000x2000 Pixels I created the Puppet in Procreate and then exported a PSD and tweaked it in PS if that would make any difference Thanks for your time
I imported two mp3 voice acting files into CA. One of the scripts will lip sync with the puppet, one won't. I use the same lip synch process for both files. The two mp3 files were recordings taken of the same person during the same hour in the same room. I have triple-checked the script, and it precisely reflects the voice actor's words. Is there any way that CA can take its best shot and provide the voice acting as close as it can? I could edit the incorrect visemes manually--as long as it provided the correct lip sync for most of it. Too bad CA won't highlight the words in the script that it thinks don't match the audio. Thanks!
Help, please I made a character, and by default he had one hand position. In this case, the tracking of hand movements when recording from the camera worked fine. But I decided to add a few hand positions to make them work better and more naturally in the animation, I made an autosubstitution trigger. However, when you turn on motion tracking and recording from the camera I stopped tracking my hands. What could be the problem? Please advise

Arms will go up, but get stuck and won't go all the way down. In general they are not following my body tracking like it should be. I have tried a bunch of random combinations in Arm IK, can't get them working properly.

I've used prerecorded iphone movies to control a puppet.The extracted audio can make the mouth move in sync.The after effects tracking data fails at the eyes: CH pushes the pupils downwards when I blink my eyes. That is the only thing it does and that is useless. No lively eyes at all.I can't use a webcam so I now must animate the eyes manually and add blinks. What is the way to do that?
I just lost two full days of work. The entire folder with all my Character Animator files are gone, after I imported them into After Effects.Is there a safety copy somewhere?
I'd like to use prerecorded video as I have no webcam on my desk top machine, can't go talk out loud in the office plus the correct microphone is in the edit sets. What is the go-to workflow? (I don't want to hack some webcam software into making it think the recorded video is the stream).Do I need to change anything when the audio isn't english but Dutch?Does the audio trigger the vowels and such or is it the video it looks at?

Is there such a thing? I have a Character who opens her mouth wide, when shes surprised and smiles with a lot of teeth. While her jaw moves with every word she says, I cannot move the jaw when I only make mimiks on my cam. Do I have to draw a whole chin for those two, or is there another way?
Hello!I'm trying to reuse a scene without having to actually remake the scene. It's an old scene, so I can't do what I've usually done (hit undo and just start again). Is there a way to keep everything in the scene the way it is, but start with a fresh recording?
I have IK arms that work properly. I can drag the hands around and the IK works. With my feet, I have independent shoes with an anchor point on each leg at the ankle (each leg is also independent). Each shoe has a draggable heel. When I drag each shoe, they warp as far as I can move them (I want NO warping at all and I don't know why the software would assume I ever would). I just want my shoes and legs to never warp but just bend like my arms do. The shoes keep the one pixel of my anchor point on the leg's ankle and the rest of the foot will drag all over the canvas and look really terrible. To me, it's odd that the arms and legs do not act at all the same even though they both have exactly the same setup (just a few more layers on the arms but otherwise literally exactly the same in every way). So if anyone knows how to make my shoes act more like shoes and less like water I can drag around, that would be so sweet.After weeks of frustration trying to solve this
Hi! I'm getting this error all the time now when ever I try to do some changes to my scene and I have no idea what it is all about: "handle value is not a number. Error code: (Container.js:215)" and it's making me mad...!
Hello CH pros! I've been working on my first puppet and I've been stumped as to how to get the eyes to work. I think I have problems with my layer structure. Right now her right eyeball tracks correctly (more or less) but her left eye is just dead. I've tried re-working this and re-doing the structure based on different videos, but at this point I'm just more confused than before. I haven't made much progress in three days so I thought it was time to bring it to the friendly folks at the internet to see if someone can help! Here's a link to my Maddie Puppet

I have problem in Character Animator recently. I followed tutorial on Youtube and put Walk Behavior into my Puppet, it worked well . But when I click Run , my puppet's foot was transformed ( in picture ). I haven't figured it out in this 2 days. Is there bug or my rigging was wrong ? Please help me, thanks for reading.
Hi! Need help with mouth rigging, I followed some videos online and uploaded the starter mouth pack to my character and it seems like I have everything correct in photoshop. When I upload to character animator it seems to have the values that indicate it recognizes the mouth but when I talk it doesn't mimic my movements, not sure what is going on because I'm still new at this. Any help or tips appreciated!
Hello, A few days ago I started rigging a character drawing for an university project. But when I add a behavoiur to my puppet and go to Record, in the timeline an error warning is showing up: "Motion Libary: Body and Limb IK behaviors must be on the same layer." The puppet does not move or doing anything, altough I added behaviour from the libary. I dont understand this because I only have one layer (png image with the drawing/ imported via Photoshop/ photoshop dat). Can anyone help? I need to make him idle,breathing ( for a roleplay game)
Hi all,When I open a new blank face (or anything else) in Character Animator it doesn't open Photoshop with the image ready for customizing.Neither does going to 'Edit' > 'Edit Original'.Do I need to reinstall the programs or am I just missing something small?It worked fine on the Mac computer, but the Windows 10 PC is giving me headaches.Any help would be much appreciated.CheersDamian
