Hi, I just had a question about editing the sound you import inside character animator,For example lets say i import a sound in character animator and you hear a beep every second but i edit it in character animator so now you hear it every 0.5 seconds, but when you add the sound to a trigger you hear the original sound you imported even if you edit it. Is it that you have to import the sound exactly as you want it for a trigger and you cant edit it.Or there is a workaround or a trick. Hope you understand what i am trying to say. Thank you for reading and i hope you have a wonderfull day.
Hi there,I'm seeking assistance on maintaining the initial straight position of the arm throughout the entire cycle in Adobe Character Animator. While I initially attempted to use a swap set, I encountered numerous issues, prompting me to switch to a cycle layers approach with a trigger button. Despite this change, I'm still facing difficulty retaining the first layer at both the start and end of the cycle. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE AN ELEPHANT PUPPET, BUT EVERYTHING I DO DOES NOT WORK 100% RIGHT. Is there ANYONE OUT there THAT IS GOD WITH THIS PROGRAM AND makes a PUPPET OFF OF THE PUPPET/ PHOTO I HAVE, TO MY LIKEING? I WILL BE WILLING TO PAY. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF INTERESTED.
I am having trouble with moving my character's mouth. It stays still and does not move. I have tried different things and it still won't move. What do I do to make it work?
I have an elderly character who's holding a walking stick. He'll be talking and acting while standing still, but I'd like a way to "pin" down the bottom of his stick to the ground, and remain there even as he moves. Is this even possible in ChA, and if so, how?See attached pic for reference. Things I've tried so far: Added bone and extra dragger to the hand layer, and tried holding in place while recording. Result: Didn't work. Stick still moves all over the place with the body.Created a Swap Set with a specially designed arm holding the staff, and then pinned it where I wanted it to stay. Result: Didn't work. The pin might as well not even exist.Split the arm art into 3 different sections: upper, mid, and hand. Made each independent, and then tried to connect them shoulder to body, elbow to shoulder, hand to wrist. Result: Cannot connect 2 independent art pieces to each other, even if one is
Is this possible to rig a character with more than 2 eyes? If so, how is it done? I have a character with 6 eyes and rather than continue moving layers around in Illustrator hoping to make it work in Ch, I'm hoping a kind creator could let me know if it's possible and where to find a guide. I've not found any puppets created with more than 2 eyes nor any guides or posts about it anywhere.
I have two versions of Adobe Character Animator on my computer do I need both? Can I remove the older one to free up space? I have both the 2023 and 2024 versions installed and am wanting to know if I need both or can I remove the older version to free up gb space?
hello. I'm having the hardest time with rigging for the walk cycle. I set/rigged my puppet according to an okay samurai tutorial but it looks distorted when I animate. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it!
Project File for your reference https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zL3NQDMxT453Dfgf5Sf2FciLOVcV35SH/view?usp=drive_linkHi, Adobe community,I'd like to ask for help and solutions regarding the issues I'm currently facing on the arm and leg issues on the body tracking. My arm animation movement is a bit jerky and not smooth. Also, the leg movement is so weird and looks odd. I already read and tried some ways that I searched on Adobe forums and tutorials on YouTube, but unfortunately, the issues are still there. If anyone has any solution to this, it will be highly appreciated. I attached images and links to the project file for reference. Thank you so much : )
Problem: My character's lip sync works perfectly fine when no triggers are active, but as soon as a trigger is used the character will stop lip syncing to the audio while the trigger is being played, and will work again when the trigger has stopped palying. lip sync still works on hand change triggers (replacing the hand pose with another.) but stops when using the trigger to wave, or moving the character in some way. has anyone had this issue, and or know a fix to this?

HI there, Im new to Character Animator and adpating 'Chloe' from the prerigged puppets. I can't figure out how to recreate the 'Arm Pose icons'. They are in a swap set but with no "default'. They link to some small Icon files hidden in the Torso. Could anyone please shed a little light before mine goes out!!
Is there a way of putting in the animation from Adobe Character Animator into Adobe Animate to work on it further?I know they are essentially two completely different programs, but is it possible to maybe even put the animation in frame by frame (which even sounds tedious for like 1000 frames) or is there some other method.
I'm trying to figure out why the necklace is showing like this in CA and how I can fix it. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance. (I included a screenshot from CA and another from Illustrator.)
I click on the 'open' in the Creative Cloud Desktop under Character Animator, and it should load, right? Wrong! It doesn't do anything. I am given no error mesdsages, no nothing. I click it and nothing happens. Can anyone help with this issue?
HI CH Community, I want my character to walk but don't have that much time to illustrate and rig a 3-view character. Is there anyway to fix a ONE-VIEW character to the ground (not floating) one it stops walking??? Thank you and all the best,Tony.
Can I have someone create a character animated puppet and share with me if I only have premier pro? Or would I also need character animator software? Is Dynamic Link needed?
Hello, 🙂I don't know if it's a bug due to the language software or if I'm missing something but i'm stuck with saved poses as Triggers.I got a french version of CH. I started to record some poses that I will often use : sit, hands up, etc.But as my Trigger component is above the Dragger one, when I set a Trigger pose in my timeline animation, I'm unable to overwrite on it, since the dragged entry appears under the trigger one. For exemple if I want the Sit pose on all my timeline and then make some drag on it, I can't since my drag will be "covered" by the Trigger.I don't find a way to reorder components to resolve that. Since the components order follow a nested hiearchy, I tried to delete the Trigger component from the top level of the puppet to put it lower, but it seems impossible to put a Trigger component other than on the top level layer (the box is grayed out otherwise). Components also seems to follow an alphabetical order, and that's why i'm asking if it's a language
Hi, I’m currently working on animating a 4 legged giraffe character. I have manged to get it walking however is it possible to apply the motion library to it? At the moment when motion library is applied it deforms the character majorly.I’ve heard that character animator isn’t really made for multiple legged characters but is there a work around? like for the walk cycle?thanks
The live preview doesn't seem to have any issues. But as soon as I record, and then try to playback, it lags and stutters like crazy. The same thing happens when I drop in an audio file and try to playback the scene to see how my puppet's mouth moves. I tried reading through previous issues, but all the tech jargon is difficult to understand. Does anyone have a simple solution to the stuttering on playback?

Hi everyone, first post here.First of all I'd really want to thank Dave for his complete tutorials, where I could find almost every answer I needed since I started using this wonderful software just a few weeks ago! Now I have a Sadness toon character with animated tears in its open eyes.I'd like to have tear drops spreading from its eyes on each blink, both from automatic behaviour and from Face motion capture. Could someone kindly help me?Many thanks in advance. GreetingsAlessandro
Today 2 of my characters stopped working in their scenes. When building new scenes they come up with the same error.INVALID SURFACE IMAGEAny advice on getting these up and running again.
Hi all, I've been able to get the upper arm behind the torso and lower arm above torso via dragging method BUT I'm struggling with making it work using body tracking. For some reason, it doesn't work when set to body tracking and the upper arm does not track at all, just the lower arm tracks and it breaks at the elbow. Does anyone have any advice? I've already followed this tutorial and it doesn't work for body tracking. Thanks in advance!
