My Character is very slow, taking a long time to load. This started after the new update. It's not a pc problem.

1 I used one arm layer to bend 2 i used trigger layers (2 looks good but still feels laggy hand rising up and down is laggy other movement is smooth thats why it feels weird )3 i tried swap layers and it looks very jumpy/laggy (1-2 looks better)
Is there a way to switch the image the hand uses (or use an image sequence to animate between) when the elbow bends the opposite direction?The Arm IK works well, until it snaps the arm in the opposite direction the hand was not designed for, and then it looks like a broken arm and/or puppet-master induced torture (probably a smaller use case).Is there a workaround to get this to work with the current build? Something along the lines of ...if(isLeftElbowFlipped == true) { showThisLeft }if(isLeftElbowFlipped == false) { showThatLeft }(etc)The hand in question would look something like this when it's pronated:Thank you! I've done this over and over again. Still the whole figure floats. When I apply the fix pin to the body folder, it causes the figure to distort. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, i've followed the setup like the tutorials. Please help! Is this a bug in the latest update?
the feet scrunch up when walking
Hi. I've trying to fix the errors i get on CA but I keep getting an error that says "Arm mesh has a handle tagged as draggable separate from handles tagged as wrist or shoulder". I send the screenshot of the body of my puppet. Can someone help me fix this please?Thanks.
Hi there,I am exercising with puppet creation and rigging. I got this vectorial character free online, distributed parts of the body in the relative layers of a .ai file. Then I imported it in Ch and rigged it. As you can see, feet do not work properly, although I think I have tagged ankle, heel and toe handles correctly. Hello, I have a simple character with body and head. The head moves around with head tracking but the body stays still. I'm following the rigging tutorial with the simple blue character and the body immediately starts moving. Similar questions often get the answer to set head position strength to 0 but all that does is restrain the head movement. I want the body to move also. Does anyone have an idea of what I'm missing?
I made several versions of a project a few days ago. They, along with the history, are now gone. Maybe due to upgrade to 23.1 in between? I searched the disk for .chproj files, and other ones showed up but not previous versions of this one.
I was able to open the application and do some basic training a few days ago. Now whether I open an existing project or attempt to create a new project I receive the error. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
no webcam installed,and use Compute head movement from speech functionwhichever high or low value of Pose-to-Pose Movement setting ,character head movement alway like Pose-to-Pose Movement 100% with 23.0,23.1(even set to 0% still move like 100%).but 22.4 22.5 work opposite,whichever high or low value Pose-to-Pose Movement setting ,character head movement alway like "Pose-to-Pose Movement" 0%.is that bug ?how to fix it?
After a few times I used the camera on character animator the program does not recognized it anymore.Can´t understandA have tried to reinstall the drivers and does not work ...If i go to the panel and to select the camera source just show one, USB VGA UVC Web Cam,even if i click on ok the camera does not workHope somenone can give me a different option than reinstall itMy OS is W10 enterprise - 1803 version!Thanks a lot in advance
Hello. We are looking for suggestions on how to get a character to Bow. We thought of ideas, like using body turner to achieve that or worst case, use cycle layers on a flat puppet but then we lose all of the functionality on the bowing puppet or would have to do a lot to get the bowing puppet to be able to turn its head or use the mouth. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

How do I keep the Limb Placement and Position of my puppet after moving it in the scene? I imported a puppet to my scene, but his resting pose isn't what I would like it to be. So I've been adjusting the pose with handles. Everytime I set the new pose I would like, it returns to the resting pose and position once I go into recording.
Hi Its probably been asked but I work on a restricted network in my workplace. I have got them to Download OBS and NDI toolkit to my laptop. Can anyone just quiclly explain to me how to get from Character animator to Teams live? I am doing some live training materials and need it to work asap but all the steps Im seeing online and different opinions have me confused
Hello I have a puppet that i rigged last year before all of these new Character Animator Updates came out in 2022. Now that I am going back to finishing my animation I've noticed that my puppet is walking very weird which it wasnt before. Im figuring this is happening because of the new updates to CH. I see new behaviors like "Motion Library" and i would love to start using it. Before I start using my puppet i would like for someone to fix the rig on my puppet so that it can walk properly...just a little tweek. Hello,I have rigged a girl in a wheelchair after following a youtube tutorial, however when she pivots, the wheelchair is supposed to keep still and not move with her body movement. Hello there! This is my first post here, and it is to ask for help.I would like to make a character that holds a dog on a leash.I don't want to make the dog move I just want the movement of the leash to be a bit realistic.I added in the swap set a hand with a leash and the dog.I added some fixed handel on the dogThen, I get a leash movement that I like but when I move my head the dog moves at the same time, which does not suit me (screen.mov file).Is it possible to make the dog stay put? I've added the walk behaviour to my puppet, which is working fine, but when I add the head turner behaviour, the rig breaks. What should the AI file structure look like for a Right quarter body (walking) WITH a head turner behaviour?
I am new to Character Animator. Is there a way to concatenate, say, ten 1-minute videos and create one 10-minute video? Or do I have to create one long 10 minute video?
Helllo,I am having a strange issue where my puppet disappears from my scene when I try to mask the eyes in frontal, quarter and profile views. I need the mask because my pupils are big. The mask did work before I added the walk and head turner behaviour, so maybe the head turner behaviour is causing it? or the walk beahaviour? I can send markers from CA to AE no problem, I can edit them in CA and update the markers in AE no problem, but is there a way to send or edit Markers from After Effects to Character Animator? I'd like my puppet to sync up with visuals in After Effects, and Markers would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
