Hi Again -I have a learner who just purchased 'ChromeBook' device and is trying to run connect off it.  He can hear the presentation and view shared apps just fine, but when he tries to talk into his microphone we get nothing.  The Audio Setup Wizard runs flawlessly for him - but once in the meeting room he is without a voice. Hi,We had a presentation today where a captivate swf file audio played in a share pod and would keep playing even when the swf file was paused to stopped. When reopened we got two audio streams running constantly. The audio would keep playing even when the document was stopped being shared and then the share pod hidden.  All share pods were checked and all showed the status 'Share my Screen' so nothing was being shared on any pods but still the audio continued....in duplicate.

How do I get rid of the window: "A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer"?  It pops up everytime I click the mouse and it's very annoying.  I don't know what started this happening and I can't find a way to stop it.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

One of our users is experiencing a problem where trying to enter a room pops up an small, empty window, but the room never loads:Initially, we had him go to the non-https url, which worked (see http://www.connectusers.com/forums/cucbb/viewtopic.php?id=3441).  But now, neither url is opening the room for him.  I had him uninstall and reinstall flash, but the problem persists.  Any idea on how to fix this?Thanks

Can anyone tell me , when they create a case with Adobe Connect help support  , are they able to view details of their call when the case is open ? I keep getting emails that say :" This email is in response to support case #0182675247 submitted by JOHN WYLIE. " however , the rest of the email just tells me to login to Adobe Support to resond to this upate , but the email has no update , no information of changes , nothing.I login in to the help portal , and don't see any updates their either.Am I missing something ?

Hello,I'm a relative newcomer to Connect and the Adobe forums: if I'm asking something that is already built into Connect, or asking a question that has already been addressed, please point me in the right direction.I'm trying to find a custom pod that would duplicate a feature used by our organization while working with a prior web conferencing service. This feature allowed the facilitator to activate a participant pointer/cursors for every participant in the session. This would automatically assign a pointer to each participant, place the participant's name on the pointer, and attribute colors to each pointer randomly. The facilitator would use this feature by having participants place their pointer in different locations on a whiteboard, shared document, etc. to show their preferences, select answers, indicate where in the country they may be joining the session from, etc.Has anyone seen or developed such an add-on, or have recommendations for developing such a pod?Thank you,Rick

I wanted to know if anyone else has had issues with downloading recordings with this extention lately.  I’m having a problem downloading our recordings as a zip. I’m sending you the screen shot of the recording playback after having used the zip option (http://lacoe.adobeconnect.com/p61oik8wy0m/output/2011welcome.zip?download=zip). Everything from the recording shows up fine except for the content that was in the main share pod. This pod contained the PPTs and images that were used during the presentation.Everything showed up fine when I tried the “Make Offline” option. Though this was the case, I don’t wish to use this method because 1) its painfully slow and 2) the resulting recording (.flv) is of very poor quality.

All:I'm looking for documentation on the UI components with Adobe Connect Pro 8.  For example, in the upper right corner of a meeting is the connection status indicator.  For me, it's always green (which equates to "Excellent").  What are the other options for this indicator?  Where is that documented?  Another example...in the participants list, the color of the participants icon indicates whether they are a registered user or guest.  Final example, when someone is speaking, their microphone or phone icon changes to indicator they are the speaker.  What are the different states available for the microphone and phone icons?  What I need is documentation on all of these UI elements, their states, and the meaning of those states rather than having to learn them through experiment and observation. 

I have 3 group of users in my Adobe Connect.I give permission to alla of them to view the shared content.Then i create some folders: folder1 only viewable by group 1, etc etc.Inside folder1 i insert 2 contents: 1) a pdf file; 2) a record of a meeting.I set permissions:- the pdf file not viewable by anyone, except me;- the record not viewable by anyone, except me.If a user of group 1 goes inside the folder1, and he clicks on the pdf file, he sees that he hasn't the permissions.I he clicks on the record, h ecan see (without problems) the record of the meeting!!!Is it a bug?

I uploaded a 37-page SWF file that was created using InDesign to Adobe Connect Pro but when I click on the URL, I can see the file and animation without any sound. Moreover, the embedded video (F4V) created using Captivate refuses to play. When I tested this on my PC using the internet browser, the whole ensemble played perfectly. So I am not sure why the sound and video refuses to play now that the SWF file has been uploaded to Connect Pro.Should the resource files also be uploaded to Connect Pro so the sound and video will play while viewing the SWF? But then Connect Pro only uploads one content file at a time.  Hope someone can help.Disappointed

I want to create a prize catalog tool that employees can browse within Adobe Connect while attending an event meeting. I created a test document with Flash Catalyst just to make sure I could upload to Connect, and it's a good thing i did. When I uploaded the .zip file to my content library inside Central Login, I could click on the content link and it opened in its own window and worked beautifully. However, when I tried to navagate to that file from inside a share pod, it didn't come up on the list of supported documents, and it wouldn't let me load the zip file directly into the share pod from my computer, either. I noticed that the base file for Catalyst creations is main.swf. Connect accepts SWFs and flash files that contain SWFs, but they must also have an index.swf file, and the files that Catalyst generates don't include one. Is there a way to change that, or anything else I could do so that I can use Catalyst to create my app for inside Adobe Connect?Thanks in advance for your

Hi there,I am helping my client use video with Adobe Connect. She is the only one on our team who cannot make her webcam work when we are an Adobe Connect meeting.She has a Thinkpad with Windows. She also has a HP Webcam 2100 that plugs into the USB port as her Thinkpad does not have a built-in webcam. I had her install the latest Adobe Flash player.When we are in a meeting, she starts her webcam and clicks share and all we see is a black screen where her video should be. She says that the video camera works with Skype and other video type applications. I have told her to close all apps that might use the video camera while we are using Connect. Still no dice.Is there a checklist of things we should do to try to debug this problem?Thanks in advance for your help.

Since moving from DSL to Cable internet connection, my sessions in Adobe Connect are filled with delayed audio, chunks of audio comes in late and choppy.  Is this an issue presented by the cable internet connection being to fast for Adobe Connect.  5 Weeks of sessions in DSL no such problem.  Any suggestions?

Hi, everyone,I have several swf games that I created myself in Adobe Flash CS3 using Actionscript 3. I want to use these games in an Adobe Connect share pod, and have both participants in the session be able to play the game together (each having control, and and the ability to see what the other player is doing). The games are basic card games. Supposedly, the presenter should open the file and allow this when I open it through a share pod. However, all I get are two separate copies of the game on each computer; the players can't share the game or play it together. For ppt files, the presenter works fine, and I can click the "sync" button to toggle between the participant having controls, or not having controls. Supposedly, the presenter opens up any swf file with multiple frames. My games have two frames a piece, but this doesn't work.Do I need to alter the code somehow to make my games compatible?Thanks in advance for all your help, and I apologize if my description of the problem i

Have a high-end point-to-point video conference system we just installed.  Only shortcoming is its ability to work with basic web-based VC solutions like Skype.  Not a huge issue with Skype but may be with more robust solutions like Adobe Connect.  Albeit still web-based, more capable of recognizing higher end camera?In this case the Polycom camera sends out an S-video signal to computer PCI capture card we are hoping will be picked up and recognized by Connect.  Skype sees and recognized it, just cant display it.Havent been able to setup a test with Adobe Connect yet so looking for any insights in advance.Thanks!

using Windows 7  64bit when I "Share My Screen" from any of my CS5 programs i get to the "Share My Computer Screen" button in Firefox 6.02. When i press the button i get a white box that pops up "Adobe ConnectNow Add-in, To use this application, you need the Connect Now Add-in. Would you like to install it now". When i click yes nothing happens. I went to Troubleshooting under Help Menu at top, and did the "Test Meeting Connection", i get to an install button and same thing, box pops up but cant follow thru wirth yes. I tried downloading the add-in from connectnow support and when i run it, it disapears after a flash on the screen. Looking for help with this issue. Thanks.

When i use the flv player to player my camera video, i build a http server between camera and flv player. I find the beginning time of playing is changed with different framerate, and i print the bufferLength for netstream. i get a tableFramerate bufferLength when playing25 2.520 3.115 4.2And i find the framerate* bufferLength ~ 64Who knows what's the reason and how to change the 64 value?

I wrote a flv player with AS and find the video will be buffered in the NetStream for 2.5s when the first frame is decoded. But i set the buffertime is 0.1s. How to decrease the netstream buffertime, especially to reduce the span time between the frameenter time and the decoded time for the first time.  By the way, the testing based on IE 8 and Flash player 10.3.183.7, the framerate is 25.

I have a username and password that sometimes gets the message that they do not have permission to access a module but it is not consistant. Sometimes they will login fine, other times they get permission denied trying to login the same the thing. . I think it may be due to firewall on their side, but they have fallback ports of 80 and 443 open. Any ideas?

Hi everyoneI need to create a meeting for 75 attendes in the same webconference during only one month,.I would like to buy online the Monthly Plan of "Individual Adobe Connect" but I see in the web that is limited to 25 attendees per hosts.Do I have to buy 3 hosts to get a webconference for 75 attendees (3x25)? I am using Connect 8 on Win2000 using Firefox. I am using Adobe's Connect as an Adobe hosted service, currently on a trial but happy to convert the service if I can iron out all difficulties.After creating Curriculum, I created an event and set up a number of guests. This is training, not really an event, but it is a series of online modules that the class attendees will need to view before the face-to-face classes started. Most things went well (allowing for user error, of course 😉 ), but when the attendees got their invitations and then went to the registration page, after completing this page, they got an HTML page that said"Thank you for your registration request.
