Can I buy earlier versions of Adobe?

I don't need all the expensive functionality of Adobe Cloud. I have Adobe IX installed. Can I still buy Adobe X or XI. Most software suppliers are very willing to sell at a discount earlier versions of software that they have on their shelves?

It would be nice to get an answer from Adobe directly - it seems to be impossible to pose an answer online to Adobe staff!!! Why do they hide away??
