Lightroom CC - Can't download due to minimum system requirements

Hey

As stated, I can't download Lightroom CC test version, because it says I do not meet the minimum system requirements.
The thing is; I downloaded and installed the test version a couple of weeks ago, and used it for the full duration of the 7 day trial period and I had no problems at all.
I just recently bought a Lightroom 6 standalone license(Not through the adobe website), and as far as I can see I have to get Lightroom 6 through the Lightroom CC test version.

Another fun fact: I am able to download and install Lightroom Classic CC with no problems. But I'm not able to enter a serial key, the same way as with the Lightroom CC test version, in order to activate Lightroom 6.

I am trying to install Lightroom 6. I bought a license through a website (not adobe). How would you activate and install Lightroom 6 with a serial key not bought from the adobe store?


First Mikkel please make sure to to register your Lightroom 6 serial number if you have not done so already.  You can find complete details regarding the process at Find your serial number .

Once you have successfully registered the serial number the installation files are available for download at Download Photoshop Lightroom​.   Clicking on the blue arrow next Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 will reveal the installation file and updates for download.

Hi Mikkel,

As you have mentioned you have purchased a Lightroom 6 stand alone version and had a Lightroom Classic CC trial installed on your machine and would like to activate it as the purchased license, I would recommend you to refer to the following help document for the same: How to convert a Lightroom CC trial to Lightroom 6.

If it doesn't help then I would recommend you to completely remove Lightroom trial from your machine, see:How to uninstall Lightroom manually  , and download and install a fresh copy of Lightroom 6 from here: Download Photoshop Lightroom.

Hi again

I know i have to get the Lightroom CC in order to convert.
The thing is I can't download the Lightroom CC, due to the fact it says my computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements. But as i mentioned - I already had Lightroom CC (not classic) installed a couple of weeks ago. I uninstalled it because the trial period ended, so currently I have no version of Lightroom installed. Lightroom CC (not classic) ran just fine on my computer a couple of weeks ago, and I had no trouble downloading, so I don't understand why it says I don't meet the minimum system requirements in order to download.

Mikkel I am sorry that you are receiving the message that the computer does not meet the system requirements when installing Lightroom CC.  Are you using the process listed in Learn how to download your Adobe Creative Cloud apps to download and install Lightroom CC?

You can find the complete system requirements to use Lightroom CC at Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC system requirements .  The computer must meet or exceed all of the requirements to install Lightroom CC.
