Photoshop CS5 Ext not found on OS X 10.9.2: serial number is recognised [was:Mswhis]

I purchase a OS X 10.9.2 computer. I was using Photoshop CS5 on my old computer. I have the disk Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. They recognize the serial number but they say the program is not on my computer. What can be done?

Yes my ps cs5 was an upgrade from ps cs3. The program is installed on my computer but without a working window.

and attach a screenshot of the problem message mentioned in your first post and describe what you do to trigger that message.

I have not been able to reinstall my Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. My computer was stolen on March 12, 2014 with the program installed. I have the disk but it will not recognize the program. My new computer is OS X version 10.9.2, Process 3.5 GHz

intel Core i7, Memory 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. I have tried support system and they have exhausted all means. What can I do next. Mildred Whisenton. Support system in India downloaded the program to my system but I can't use it. I was told by

a support person in the us I would have to purchase the program. I don't think that is right.
