This is just a general question, and a just out of interest one.4-5 years ago many people objected strenuously against the use of flexbox, (don't be shy in saying why ) although at that time 94% of users had a device or browser that supported its use. The main reason given was that IE8/9 did not support it and some browsers devices required prefixes. (easy to implement) Fallback pollyfils did exist at the time, and css auto-prefixers.The same also applies to css such as transforms and many more specs.Fast forward to 2018 and css grids are being actively supported by many, including as an alternative, (easy) system to Muse users, even though less than 80% of browsers and devices support its use, ('can i use', does not show older devices that are still in popular use, so I have deducted a few %).I would not call css grids "easy to learn", and so far I have not seen a visual method of its use that I could recommend to anyone. What I am wondering is, if it is just those requiring a more vis

So... a couple of things, I'm kinda wondering whats going on with my site. I've been looking at the code and can't seem to see what might be the problem.1: When I uploaded my site, it says it's "not secure"2: when I went to go upload my site, all the pages work except for shirts.html. When I tested it b4 I uploaded, it looked like this:Now it looks like this:What could be causing these issues?www.stgraffix.comTittle was edited by Moderator.
We have a template we use for posting client projects, which has a repeating area. On most of our computers, in the Design view, this area appears properly as the hex it is assigned to, #ccc09b. Here's a photo:On our laptop, the first two columns of any template are black, but we are not aware of changing any settings. How do we get those two columns to display with their intended background color? It makes editing really annoying.Code:<!-- InstanceBeginRepeat name="Project Rows" --><!-- InstanceBeginRepeatEntry --> <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="Project Row Content" --> <div class="row" style="background-color:#ccc09b;"> <div class="project">

Hello People.I hope my question does not annoy you, as I have asked this a few times, and, thank you for your help and suggestions, but I am still not sure which way to go....I am building a website that is "responsive"... That much is straight forward to me.I want to put on show, within different pages, many of my photos.Ideally, I would like a "Thumbnail" strip/section.When a visitor clicks on a thumbnail, the full size photo opens up below the thumbnail strip.Alternately, I may have a page of thumbnails, and clicking one takes you to a full size image, a bit like the way that Facebook photo albums work.I was thinking of using "inline" frames. (2, one for the thumbnails and one for the full size photo)Or, I could build a Flash/Animate slideshow where I can have the thumbnails above the main screen for the full photo, which can all be contained in a separate Animate file that I can then just place in the page. The Animate way seems to be the easiest way, for me, (more a "Designer" than

In earlier versions of Dreamweaver cfml includes would render in the Design view mode (note I'm not talking about Live view) . Despite the preferences setting shown below being ticked this does not appear to work any more. Can someone at Adobe (HARSHIKA VERM added by Moderator) please clarify what is going on here or if anyone in the community has found a way around this.We depend on being able to see the contents of the include in the design view mode as we have site wide navigation and css that once used to be displayed and would render the page correctly - without this working we cant see a rendered view without going to preview (Live view also does not work with cfml anymore).Thank you
I am experiencing a similar situation. I have an imagemap in which I want to open 5 different modals. Until now I could only manage to open the same modal on several areas. How can I connect a new modal to another area in the image? Can somebody help me here?
I just upgraded my Mac to Mojave. I did a clean install, then reinstalled Dreamweaver via the Creative Suite downloader. My original files are backed up on an external hard drive. How can I access the settings in that drive and import them into my new internal hard drive? By settings, I mean the various website configurations - names, locations, online passwords, etc.Thank you.

I've already found this topic in older posts. But the advice doesn't work.I'm using DW CS6. All of a sudden, the files listed in the files panel go fro z to a. I did nothing that should have caused this. And, I can't find any way to change it back to where the files go from a to z.I have tried clicking the icon to show local and remote files like was suggested. All the files were in correct order, but as soo as I closed that view, the files in the file panel were still reversed. Any other ideas?
CSS Menu without imagesSimple to edit, no complex scripts or image swap behaviors, less code, easily indexed by search engines, translators and screen readers.I am rebuilding my web site from ground up. Starting fresh. I will be using this code to begin. What I want to achieve is to create a working template using this index.html page. In design view ( Dreamweaver CS6) I do not see 'css menu' in a css styles folder. There is no css styles, no css styles folder. I do not know what I should do. In code view I see this css menu as a <style>.Should I simply create an external css style sheet as a starting point in developing index.html as a template? If I can be given a push in the best direction I should be able to move forward with rebuilding the web site. I have content - that needs to be brought into clean pages. Thanks for any advice!
I've uploaded my local files to the remote server. However, I can't get the site to appear in search engines. In Google Chrome it doesn't show at all; in Bing it shows a list of the files. I think my index file is not in the right place in the remote files, but I don't know where it's supposed to go. Does it need to go right below the public_html at the top, or where? I know the site works as I had it up in the past, then took the remote files down. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jim

Hi,I had a website created in Dreamweaver CS6 (PHP 5.6) and created friendly URLs using htaccess which worked fine. I have since updated everything using Dreamweaver CC to PHP 7.3 but now the htaccess file has stopped working. I have been in touch with my hosting provider Fasthosts and while dropping the extensions is working in my htaccess file works fine, its not reading the friendly URL's.Fasthost has asked me to check the scripting path of my website as it seems that the file does not recognise the path of my files for my pages. What do I need to do to get it to recognise them? Thanks for all your help!!!!
When trying to open Dreamweaver CC 2017 on my Windows 7 PC, I receive the following error..."Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file. Can anyone recommend a good book that might help me learn how to style bootstrap using the latest version of Dreamweaver? I kind of had it all figured out in C6 but this newest version seems much harder to follow since it's such a small area. I can't really find any good tutorials on line to help me so I thought I'd try buying a book. My local bookstore doesn't carry any books on Dreamweaver of Bootstrap so it looks like I'd have to order something and I don't want to order something that may not help me.
Creative Cloud Desktop app no longer lists legacy versions of CC products as it once did. Going forward, you will see only the newest version and the 1 previous to it (internal terms removed)Many people need access to legacy CC versions for various reasons. Adobe put up this page which is grossly under represented in terms of products and versions. We can only hope they will expand on it later...Download legacy versions of Creative Cloud apps Fortunately for us, Jim at ProDesignTools has made direct download links available from his website.
