Hi I am looking for a simple way to create a pop-up window when the user clicks a hyperlink.  When the user clicks the hyperlink, I need a pop-up window to overlay on the screen (smaller size), with the original page still being displayed in the background. Can this be done, relatively simply?Thanks

First off, I am using an older version (CS5) at the moment, but this issue has only come up recently. I am coding emails, so all of my links are external, and my HTML files are standalone, and not part of a site. Therefore, I never use relative links, and the full URL is always in my code.The problem:My links come from an excel spreadsheet. I will copy and paste them into my Dreamweaver file, and the link will look correct (for example: <a href="https://www.mysite.com/offerid123" target="_blank">....</a>)When I view the file in a browser or email proof, clicking the link will direct me to "file:///Users/username/Documents/2017/March/Campaign/filename/https://www.mysite.com/offerid123.html" instead of the URL.There is nothing wrong with my a tag, nothing visibly different from the links that work and the links that do not. I have tried pasting my URL into TextEdit and then copying and pasting it into my code, which does not work. I have removed the hyperlinks from the excel

When I start Dreamweaver there is no start/welcome screen. I'm the preferences it is checked. I have unchecked, restarted and then rechecked but that didn't do anything. It is just blank. Other panels are there and I can File>New and so forth. Is the page hosted locally? Should I uninstall and reinstall?

I need the red x that has been removed from the top of the Dreamweaver menu. In older versions of Dreamweaver, sometimes I would highlight text in live view, but the corresponding code in code view would not be highlighted automatically. I could click that red x at the top which seemingly stopped Dreamweaver from doing whatever background task it was focusing on and alerted Dreamweaver that I needed it to focus on the task I was doing. After clicking the red x, highlighting text in Live View would then find the corresponding code in code view for me. In the current version of Dreamweaver, I have the same problem of  Dreamweaver refusing to find corresponding code, but no red x button to push. How to I get that button back or otherwise get Dreamweaver to focus on the fact that I want it to highlight the code corresponding to the area I am selecting in live view?

I work in a school environment and a student is getting this error when she tries to use Dreamweaver.  I have changed the read only attribute to the SLStore folder in my account, but the program already works in my profile.  I can't change the attribute in the student's account via a right click as students do not have rights to right click anything.  They also do not have command line rights, if that is an option.  Is there any other way to change this attribute?

Hello,I'm a little new to using the newest version of Dreamweaver and I'm having trouble finding how to make a new Fluid Grid Layout. Under the "New" option at the very top left I don't see the Fluid Grid Layout option, and when I click new I don't see it there either. I need to make a Fluid Grid Layout but I don't see where or how to make one. Please help.

     My version of Dreamweaver - 2000 - is running on an older windows system - Vista. It has been working perfectly. This morning I cannot connect via FTP. This is critical. If this is answered elsewhere on the forum, please forgive me. I cannot locate it. I will be more than grateful for any help!

Somehow the visual media queries bar disappeared on the pages in my bootstrap site.  How do I turn this bar back on?

Over the past number of days I have been unable to use Dreamweaver, on Windows 7 64bit, using my normal Domain account here on campus.  Dreamweaver had been working fine but now with the introduction of redirected folders I suspect Dreamweaver CC 2017 is having issues because of this.I also have Photoshop CC 2017 and Acrobat DC running without any problems so this is isolated to Dreamweaver.When I try to load Dreamweaver from my Domain account it loads and then stops responding.  Selecting the Debug option I get this error:The actual number in the [] change each time but I can not successfully get it to load.  I have uninstalled all Adobe products using the CC App manager and then removed it.  I have then gone through my registry and cleared out all mentions of Adobe.  I have removed the Adobe folders from all the App Data locations so that I am starting from a clean slate!All installed perfectly and Dreamweaver loaded fine the first time - however when I tried

I am running on windows 10 and trying to get dreamweaver cc 2017 to work. I have tried everything under the sun to get this thing to work and has yet to work. Steps i have taken:1. cmd- sfc /scannow2.uninstalling\reinstalling 3.uninstalling both creative cloud and dreamweaver\reinstallling4. running as administrator5. tried troubleshooting compatibility Basically it stops me right after opening it and just says program has stopped working.

I am having an issue when using Dreamweaver CS 5.5. I use it for a few minutes and then it just crashes my Mac (OS 10.12.3). There is no apparent rhyme or reason why it crashes. It crashes when doing various things in Dreamweaver. I've checked out my Activity Monitor and it's not consuming that much memory. And my Mac only crashes when I'm on Dreamweaver which leads me to believe it's some sort of issue with the program. I haven't been able to find anyone else having this particular issue as it's the whole computer that crashes and not just the program.I would appreciate any leads or help in this matter.Thanks!

My Dreamweaver CC won't open on my hp Windows 10 laptop. Every time I open the application it crashed right away. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it already and that still hasn't worked. If anyone has an idea of what might be wrong or some way to fix the problem that would be great!

I have Adobe CC installed on my computer.Every time I try to start Adobe Dreamweaver the following error appears:I have reinstalled Dreamweaver several times and it always returns the same message, so I cannot use Dreamweaver out of my Adobe CC. In Dreamweaver CC 2017 the background color of my site window that shows the list of files on my local computer and on the server, is a  somewhat light gray but not light enough and the list of files in it is dark gray.  It's readable but strains my eyes.  I much prefer the white background in my CS5 version and often use that instead because it has good contrast and is much easier on my eyes but there are certain things I need the 2017 version so I have to keep switching back and forth. Is there any way at all to lighten this gray background of the site files? I've clicked the lightest of the 4 color themes available in preferences but I don't see any options to change the files background.  The only other options for the interface is coloring the code which is not the problem.

Hi guys,I have a responsive menu on my site. I recently made the mobile version of the menu with position:fixed; so it stays along the top of the site when the user scrolls.However, for some strange reason, when viewing the site on a mobile (I think just on iPhone), on the homepage, the text and spacing on the expanded menu appears bigger than it should. I was having the same problem about drop down menus not displaying correctly fromt the link below. I have put the the new style sheet in the various locations in the code. Nothing works. What could be causing this?First the new styles would show but the drop down menus would not display. Hello!  Okay, so I've started learning code with the Khan Academy.  I've also created my first demo site with the provided tutorials. Haven't gotten into the Javascript yet. Soon though!  Also been using Muse for years and now feel it's limits. What I'd like to do now is choose an online curriculum path that would help me develop mastery of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. My ultimate goal is to then progress to a deeper understanding and capability to integrate and fully utilize Business Catalyst. I've looked at Treehouse and Lynda.com.  I like that Treehouse lists very clearly a progression of courses to mastery.  I like that Lynda.com has soOOoo much to choose from including some BC courses. I'm concerned that Treehouse eventually steers the learner towards backend programing languages. I'm concerned that Lynda.com has so much content and doesn't seem to offer a definitive path of progression towards mastering the Adobe products I'm interested in. I'm also concern

If I select Window>Arrange>Tile ..., how do I undo it?  How do I go back to having the tabs lined up?  Right now, my windows are cascaded and I don't want that. 

Are they 100% non-customizable?In other words, can we change the color or length of the shadow under the "3D" effect, or change the "Neon" effect color from fuchsia to something else?
