Hi All,As promised, I am starting this discussion in response to the news that Bootstrap V4 will use flexbox as it's default for layouts, and will NOT support IE9.See - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2259854Microsoft has now also dropped support for IE10. This means that unless you, your users, clients or company is paying a lot of money to Microsoft for extended support for IE10, no more updates will be released for that browser. This effectively means that over the next year it will also become an, 'also dead' browser.With the above marking a turning point for what is now possible in web design and development, html 5.1, css3 and modern javascript now becomes usable, but support for what is now possible is lacking. Not just in Dreamweaver but in most code editors and IDE's.Support for Flexbox and css grid layouts is missing, 90% of the html 5.1 specs don't have any real support, (picture/srcset, Base64 to name just 2) and modern JavaScript api support and development is so difficult

Hello everyone!I'm having an issue with my website where when I set an image for the background it only shows up as white. To go along with this problem, my Google Map on the home page (one that use to work, yet suddenly stopped) isn't showing at all. Would anyone here be able to pinpoint why these things aren't showing up anymore? When hand-coding, I hit the Enter key two times to create a single blank line between two blocks of code.Dreamweaver gives me an extra line, as if I had hit the Enter key three times. This puts TWO blank lines between my blocks of code.How do I make it stop doing this?

I am thinking about revamp my billiard table selling website into more graphical support and animated version. i want to add more additional features. my website is developed in wordpress. can i edit using Dreamweaver.   i get some suggestion that dreamweaver is much better and easier than any other webdevelopment tool.

How are people viewing their files when they are ready to test their work? Importantly, my file is pulling data from a database.In the past, I used F12 to send a file to a testing server. From there, my file could interact with a mySQL database and I could test my code. With DW2017, pressing F12 either opens a file in localhost or as a file(i.e. file:///C:/Users/...), but the file cannot interact with the mySQL database. To do so, I have to access the changed file on the testing server (i.e. have a browser open then refresh the browser using F5).Is there a better way?

Hi guys!, First off- I'm new to the forums, and much of my coding experience is self taught so my terminology may be off. I've had Adobe suite on and off through college and now I'm using it for work. I'm working on a drop-down menu for the front page of my company's new website. I have built drop-down menus before (using Dreamweaver's "drop-down button" feature), but since I need this drop down menu to be image based, I've built it using some of my own code/Dreamweaver's drop down content feature.The short of what is going on- is that my drop-down menu acts like it is "stuck". My coworker and I have both tried to fix this to no avail, and we need it working ASAP. I built the menu in a separate document, then used Illustrator's "Save for Web" feature to copy its' code- which I then pasted in the "Drop down content" div. The menu appeared, and just stays there. Having a great deal of difficulty with the new UI (Which angry mob of actual users demanded this overhaul btw? Strangely I don't recall...)FINDSo when I put my cursor in the code, and then type something in the new ungainly find and replace menu, it will jump away from where I have my cursor and go find the keyword in some other location of the code. Perhaps the most unintuitive non standard "Find" I have ever experienced. Are there any settings to get it's behavior back in the vicinity of planet Earth?HIGHLIGHTIf I select a section in the design panel of split view, it highlights the code but insists on slamming the highlighted line all the way against the top or bottom of the code view panel.  So I always have to select in design and then scroll the code to the center to get my bearings. Is there a way to get this back to normal?

I have haven't used DW for many years, I have just downloaded the free version. In the past there was a facility to apply changes to all pages on my site. Is this still possible? BTW I am a novice.

I am trying to use the grid feature in bootstrap 4 however when I put in the code the grids don't show up. I've checked with the website and it all looks fine however I don't know why its not working. Apparently Dreamweaver doesn't support TLS 1.2 a security protocol to which many host providers are switching. Can anyone confirm/deny this? The first I heard of it is through Aabaco (formerly Yahoo) small business solutions which hosts three of my business sites. This is not a Yahoo issue but rather a Dreamweaver issue because it is currently impossible to set up proper FTP access in Dreamweaver to be able to access a site that utilizes TLS 1.2.  If this is true, would love to know when Dreamweaver will catch up?If it is not true, I'll go back to Aabaco to see what's up.Thank you.

I have gone to Code View Options and unchecked Auto Indent, but Dreamweaver still indents my code as I am typing it. It's driving me nuts and wasting time as I have to correct all those unwanted indents.I've also gone under Edit / Preferences / Code Format and unchecked Indent, to no avail.Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

When I do edit in the code view, the text associated with my selection changes and gets a  greenish background.  I am "old", 72, and I'd surelike to change it to another color.... Something I can see  ha haI tried to go through preferences several times but alas, nothing I did changed the highlighting?What did I miss?

Hi, I am working on a photography website. I created 5 accordion panels with Dreamweaver cs6 for the different fields. In the accordion panels, there are ca. 30 images. The panel height and with is auto, so I don't use fixed panel heights. My problem is that when I open the next panel, it opens in the middle, not on the top where I want. Is there any solution for this? (I don't want to use fixed panel heights if it is possible) Thanks!

I have 50+ styles/classes (Properties Panel) stored in CS5 and I would like to move them to CC2017 without having to re-enter each style/class individually  How can this be done?Any hints would be appreciated!
