in Illustrator 2024 I could create any size artboard I wanted. Where has that function gone in 2025?   <Title renamed by MOD>  

I keep getting a pop up when I'm recoloring artwork that says "A different color with the same name already exists in your document. Please rename this color to use it in this document." I renamed the colors in my Library but it didn't make a difference. Any other suggestions on how to stop this? It pops up constantly and it's driving me crazy!Thank you

After updating Adobe Illustrator to version 29.6.1 a file that I was working on doesn't want to open correctly.It is a file with multiple placed images. The prompt says: "Can't finish previewing. Could not complete the requested operation." If I try opening the same file in version 2024 it opens perfectly. 

Tengo un MacBook Pro de 2012, en el cual tenia una versión de adobe illusttrator compatible con MacOs Catalina, la cual dejo de funcionar y debi desinstalar el programa, al momento de intentar volver a instalar no lo logro ya que no aparecen las versiones compatibles con el sistema operativo, me gustaría saber que puedo hacer.

Hi AllI am using Adobe Illustrator 2025When I apply outline to an object and close the file afters saving it, the outline expands to an object auto matically when I reopen the file.Please help  SajidAttar

I used to drag this kind of shiny vector to the illustrator and it appeared to be fine without any adjustmenmts, but now it becomes appearing with the black shadow of the vector, why is this happening? They are all rgb files. Is anybody facing the same issues?   

Hi,I do not have any different snap mode on than snap to grid. I think what's going on is Illustrator thinks that after turning the STG on, when the artboard isn't perfectly aligned to the grid, the grid "starts" when the dragged anchor point is. This is, of course, absurd because the grid is visible and I do expect the artboard to snap to it.Any ideas?Thanks ❤️

 I used the blending tool in the image as well, and I worked on the centerline with a curve. The spacing is not constant, is there a way to list it consistently along the curve? This is Replace Space. No matter what I do, the interval is not constant.

Hiya, I recently lost an illustrator file and the fonts I had downloaded off adobe fonts have also been lost. I'm driving myself mad trying to find this font, it wont come up on any font finder app! no amendments was made to the font, If anyone knows what its called i would appreciate it so much! 🙂

I created and saved an Illustrator .ai file that contains only a simple rectangle path with both stroke and fill set to none. While the shape is invisible on the canvas, I can confirm that the path exists when viewing the wireframe or checking the layer structure in Illustrator. However, when I inspect the PDF stream inside the .ai file — looking at operators like m, l, or re — I cannot find any operations corresponding to this rectangle with no stroke or fill. My question is:Where is this rectangle path stored internally?Is it kept in a specific COSObject or Stream, or is it stored somewhere else entirely within the .ai file structure?

Just updated to newest illustrator and have had a odd glitch appear. Perfectly normal filled shaped suddenly has a pie slice missing from the fill. No reason that I can see in artwork mode and not like any glitch I've ever come across. All paths are closed and no doubled up lines are causing this. Glitch was not there on file yesterday before I updated. Also, opening the file on an older version of Illustrator also shows the glitch. Pretty simple shape and the kind of thing I work with day in and day out in Illustrator and this is an issue I've never seen. Behaves very oddly when moving the anchor points around too (video).

He venido experimentando serios problemas de rendimiento desde la última actualización, se bloquea el programa o no guarda o muestra imágenes en baja calidad... he enviado los reportes cuando esto pasa pero tengoq ue estar cerrando y abriendo el programa para poder continuar. Mi equipo no tiene problemas de compatibilidad con la suite.

I have looked everywhere in the Preferences, but I cannot locate that horribly annoying Tour window that covers my work whenever I use Illustrator. Can someone show me how to turn it off (no, it's not the Welcome Screen...)?

I use the font Marker Felt.  When creating the PDF for printing, the following error message has been appearing for the past 1 or 2 months:Due to licensing restrictions, the MarkerFelt font cannot be embedded in the PDF document. Strikethrough text is not visible. Translated form Dutch ("Het lettertype MarkerFelt kan vanwege licentiebeperkingen niet worden ingesloten in het PDF-document. Doorgehaalde tekst is niet zichtbaar.") The font Maker Felt is open source/free (handwriting, free for commercial use😞 https://www.1001freefonts.com/marker-felt.font I tried all the solutions sugested on the website of Adobe. Like delete and install the font again in the Creative Cloud. But nothing works. How to solve this issue?

Dear AI community I'm struggling with automating a batch job which involves rounding all corners (including sharp ones, low  angle) in a PathItem. I need to replicate from the script what you can do manually by selecting all anchor points and either dragging the round corner handler or just setting the corner radius under object Properties pane -> Corners field.  I spent a reasonable amount of time digging AI scripting guide and seems can't find anything related to rounding PathItem.pathPoints elements. Can't find any equivalent API to setting the corner radius via UI Properties->Corners field.  Also another issue is the corner radius handle & property will only show when the corner angle is bigger than certain threshold. Not sure why. Other vetcor editors I tried e.g. Inkscape or Affinity Designer don't have this limitation, you can round literraly any corner and it works rather well. Is there any way to force round corner regadless of angl

My Adobe Illustrator has been experiencing weird crash since last weeks, and it takes so much effort out of my progress and its been bothering me.There is no warning or notifications that said that my illustrator quited unexpectedly, or another things that say about the illustrator crash. It just crash like it was disappeared like i was pressing cmd+q (without the save changes notification of course).And the hardest pill to swallow is the recovery which i set for every 2 minutes for backups and 5 minutes for cloud, its nothing on there. And I just recently found out that Adobe changes the recovery files from .aid to a .aishm WHICH I don't know how to recover (And appereantly people on community doesn't too)I'm using a M4 Pro Macbook Pro, latest mac and adobe illustrator update, 24GB of rams and 512GB of storage, which still has 250GB of space.I experienced it twice on last week, so I initiatively uninstall and install my illustrator but 40 minutes into working and setting up my workspa

I created a design for a logomark that consists of a series of overlapping U shapes with a Multiply transparency applied. When placed over a dark field, depending on the hue, part of the design disappears or doesn't provide enough contrast. Is there any way to retain the original design with the multiply effect, but convert it to normal opaque transparency? I thought it might work by pasting an opaque white duplicate behind the original design, but the results are what you see in the 3rd image. Is this just the optical result of using these 2 hues of blue and green against a darker hue? Since it's a logomark, I need it to ideally be able to work against a variety of different backgrounds.

毎々お世話になります。若干混乱があり、お問い合わせさせていただきます。素人です。　→JpgやPngとeps、aiの違いは理解しています。未だ、cs6を使用しております。Adobe Stockに投稿したところ、ラスター画像が含まれているとのことで門前払いとなりました。そもそも「ぼかし」を含んだ画像がベクトル画像ではないとの理解が私に無かったことが原因です。目的＞単に作成したオブジェクトをベクトル化したい。　→チャットgtpで調べたのですが、追求するほどますます混乱しています。疑問＞1．アピアランスを分割。　→そもそもこの理解で混乱しています。　→単純な「塗り」「線」も含まれるとすれば、ラスター画像との違いはどこで見分けるのか？　→作成したオブジェクトをクリックすると、ラスター画像が無いのに「アピアランスを分割」が選択できる場合とグレーアウトされる違いは何なのか？2．透明部分を分割・統合。　→1．と2．の関係を理解するのに混乱があります。　→そもそもベクトル化には無関係なのか？　→オブジェクトに「透明の分割・統合」を適用し、グループ解除し、分解して、不要なパーツ（複合パスなど解除の結果）を削除する操作はベクトル化するには誤った操作か？3．「ぼかし」はラスタライズ。「グラデーション」はベクトル。　→このあたりの境界？がいまだによくわかりません。以上の疑問ががすでに素人だとおもうのですが、もしわかるように教えていただければ、とてもありがたく存じます。

Hello, I've been working on a single artboard with vector artwork jpegs for the last two weeks. Today, my PC had a BSOD while I was working on the file. When I tried to open the file, I got the 'Illustrator could partially read this file' error message. Now when the file loads, it appears as if a clipping mask has been applied as everything is cut off outside the artboard and you can't use the elements/motifs within the artboard square. The file size is the same as before the crash at 264mb and the Illustrator thumbnail still shows the file with all of the images that it should contain. My Illustrator version is 29.6.1 and I was using Windows 10 when creating editing this file. - I tried the 'revert' option, but it didn't work.- There are no other version histories in the window menu. - I've tried to re-name the file and re-open it, it doesn't work. - I've installed previous versions of Illustratoer, this doesn't work either. - I changed the scratch disk locati

Versions in the subject, OS Sonoma. This is a brand new laptop and there is nothing significant running in the backgroud; AI is severely lagging, I am trying to prepare a poster, it's a 30 MB file, some graphs, some embedded jpgs but nothing that is out of ordinary and I had no problems with older computers/software on similar files. Now just moving vector objects like a simple circle leads to the beach ball. I followed some troubleshooting suggestions from similar issues with older version like renaming com.adobe.illustrator in cache,  resetting preferences, etc., I even uninstalled and re-installed the app - none helped, still lagging. Please help, I'm running against a deadline and I can't finish my work; I don't have my old computer. 

I'm having trouble with CC Libraries changing the names of links when packaging an illustrator file. I've lready been using the method of having to duplicate an asset within the library assets to make sure the name of the asset in the library isn't changed to 'Artwork 1'. I need my assets to retain their assigned names when packaging a file that uses Adobe CC library assets as I work in a large team and we absolutely cannot have these random named assets being outputted!
