When I click on my Overlord plugin, the panel does not show up. Neither does the Libraries panel. Sometimes it shows the checkmark after I click it, sometimes it doesn't. But either way, no panel appears. I've tried restarting my computer and relaunching Illustrator and I've heard this is a common bug. Has anyone figured out how to fix it?

I have Mac OS Sequioa 15.4.1. and Illustrator v29. I do not have a Wacom table of any type, nor do I have any Wacom software.However, upon launch Illustrator says there is a problem with the Wacom driver. To fix this, I have tried:- searching entire hard drive and removing anything named Wacom.- trashing all preference files.Illustrator still defaults to thinkng thiere is a Wacom drive, in preferences. Disabling it and restarting does not fix this.How do I make Illustrator stop whining about Wacom?

Hello everyone, I updated Illustrator to version 29.5 yesterday, and since then, I've been experiencing a problem with vectorization. I can no longer obtain black and white vectorization as sharp as before. As you can see in the example above, the outlines of my images were previously very precise and well-defined. But since this update, the result has become irregular, with blurry and imprecise lines. I've tried several methods to resolve this problem, without success. As a clothing designer, this is preventing me from working properly, and I'm really stuck. If anyone has a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help!

I have a problem with Adobe Illustrator. Whenever I open the application, this black box appears, and I can't do anything. I even have to force-close the application via the task manager. Can someone tell me what I should do? And it always makes my memory run very high.it's never happened before.I use Adobe Illustrator 2022

1) How do i enter page number on document tiles that GET printed. 2)How do i give a border to a page (a black border)I am trying to create a book, and there is no info on how to insert page numbers that PRINT nor how to create SAME border for all the pages. HELPI do not know scripting

Hello. I have problem with Illustrator cs6. I tried to use Live Paint Bucket in one layer, and now all colored artworks in all layers in the file are black and white. All colors are gone. I can't undo it or step backward, file is blocked in this form, and I can't change anything. I can't make any changes in any artwork in the file.

  hello. I have had this problem for a month now, have been super irritating. I have read the forum about it and most people are just irritated about it and move on, for me illustrator doesnt save any changes if i continue to the editability, and if i keep changes, cant edit enything or see things from outside the board. I am not modyfying the files anyhow, last time i opened the file was also illustrator. HELP, i keep losing my changes while working on pdfs.

Finalmente elegí una de Adobe Fonts, continué con el diseño y lo guardé en la nube. Up until today, I have been working in illustrator fine. I could snap one object to another, when drawing lines, line segment ends anchor points could snap easily, align things to other anchor points as i'm drawing them, etc.. Now that is not the case.Also, before I could click right in the middle of an object and it would select it, now I must click on the actual path that surrounds and object.I'm working in Windows with CS4. I have went to the "view" menu and made sure "snap to point" is turned on, it is. I even tried snap to grid. None of this works.Please, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm on a Mac Mini M1 with 16GB and Big Sur 11.2.3, and am up to date on my Creative Cloud updates. About 25-30% of the time, when the computer goes to sleep, Illustrator will drop down about 1/5 of the way down the screen, as if I clicked the title bar and dragged it down the screen. When this happens, some of my panels will move around as well and I have to reset my workspace. Also, the grey space around the artboard shimmers when I move my cursor and the little popup window urging me to click and learn more about new features will have the font size reduced about 60%. All this happens with both Illustrator and Photoshop (the only Adobe apps I use regularly.) I usually end up quitting and restarting the program, and resetting my workspace. Oddly, all this doesn't happen EVERY time the computer sleeps, but it does happen fairly often, and is very annoying. 

I have a valid CharacterStyle, but I can't find the property in a TextFrameItem to apply it to. I've tried applying it to the TextFrameItem, its contents, and its characters properties, and the script quits in all cases. I can't find any example online, either. I recently had a random N show up at the end of a line in an Illustrator document that defied my efforts to remove it. I finally put the word on the next line and it disappeared. I had to change the length of all the lines to match. And today I made a set of .png proofs that showed the little red plus sign indicating there was additional text--but it was showing in the printed copy. Those are supposed to be invisible guides for me. Not for my client. Totally weird. I am on a mac 15.3.1 Sequoia, using Illustrator. I have installed updates.

This is my company logo - I need to be able to print the black within the cow, but have the rest of the background white. I am brand new to illustrator, but it seemed like the right tool for the job. I have no idea what i'm doing - please help! I tried inverting the colors, but it looks strange and doesn't produce the same image when printed. I think in general I need to just outline the entire cow (not trace each individual element) and then change/remove the background - but leaving the black within the cow as it is.  Thank you!       

Hi was wondering if someone can help or if you all have exprenced this in the past. My illustrator is freaking out. I have an .ai file with text I can see it in the artfile when i'm working on it but when I save and preview in the apple finder/viewe I cant see the text at all. I have the most recent version of illustration even uninstalled and re-added to see if it'll help. nothing. Any advice is appreciated.  

When you enable the "Overprint Preview" mode in the "Separations Preview" section, the GPU is not loaded and the load is kept at 1-2%, while the CPU can be fully loaded up to 100%. This results in delays when processing a heavy file with many elements. But when you turn off this mode, GPU works and loads up to 20%, while the CPU works at 30-35% (much faster work in the program is also observed). I have the "GPU Performance" checkboxes in the settings. I also set maximum performance for Illustrator in the system settings (Windows 11). Adobe Illustrator 29.5

Is there a system-wide Adobe glitch or system issue that has happened in the last 24-hours?  I have been using illustrator (and other Adobe programs) for over 10 years, therefore, I am 99.99% certain this is NOT something that I've done, it is an adobe issue.Two days ago, my work (3 seperately saved files) were all fine; I have a number of  drawings/sketches saved as PNGs (just the vector line work) which are 'collaged' over A1 artboards to create a series of panels with my work.  I've opened all 3 files, and suddenly all the PNGs have white backgrounds so are therefore all blocking eachother. HOWEVER, the white backgrounds are only showing when the PNG is on the actual ARTBOARD, when I slide the PNG off to the side (where it's the grey space), there's no white background. What is happening here, Adobe? Unless this is something I have done (very unlikely), can you please sort this out ASAP, otherwise you should issuing every single person across the world a sub

I'm trying to follow a video on how to work with shadows and in the video they change the resolution of the sahdow through the document raster effect settings. I followed exactly how it said to and I changed the setiing and the setting says it's changed when I go back to try and change it again but it's still not increasing the resolution. I'm unsure of what to do at this point.

Hi all. To work around the lack of any way to set arrowheads on a line programmatically, I need to open a file containing the necessary graphic style or element. The File.openDialog function does indeed raise a file dialog, but so far I haven't seen a way to get default Illustrator locations. Most users will not know where these are. Any insight appreciated.

After the latest Illustrator update, I know have text within an illustration that will not select no matter what I do. And no its not locked!

I've been working on some illustrations in an .aic document. Saved it to the ACC so I could work on it at the office and at home.I was working in one of such illustrations, Illustrator lagged, then told me it quit unexpectedly. But when I tried to open the file again, it pops a window that says: "Document contains incompatible object(s) This cloud document contains objects that are not compatible with the current Illustrator version.To open this document, use the version which the document has been created." The illustrations are made of flat shapes and strokes. The most complex one used the brush tool but nothing else. Not even gradients, it's as light and simple as it can be. I can perfectly see the preview but it can't open the file.Trying to download the file gives an error (in the ACC app and on the browser as well). I tried updating Illustrator, nothing happens. Still the same error message. What can I do. My work is on the line.

I've tested other HEX Codes and there doesn't seem to be an issue, but when I enter HEX #: 6595ff, the color shows up on the  Color Picker box, but won't adjust the color to the selected graphic.  It will either revert back to the last color or just "accept the color" but not change the color.   I have already reselt color preferences, and still nothing.  I'm stumped as there are no "out of gamut" warnings or anything.  I entered the code manually, entered the codes in RGB manually without entering the HEX code and nothing.  I have no other issues with other HEX Codes, just THIS code.  Can anyone help?

  I set up print files and take the finals with cut files & finishing guides and paste them into proof documents for clients. After the latest update for illustrator 29.5, it no longer previews the pasted files. It acts like the file is much too complicated. This happens on some of the most simple files I do each day.On the same note, Acrobat can not handle what I consider simple previews either. It blinks and blinks and BLINKS... until it finally loads.My system is a 64GB memory Apple M3 Max 2023 MacBook Pro running OS 14.7This is a brand new issue with the update to 29.5.  

I use Inches as my "General" unit of measure, but in the new 2018 version (running under Win 7), it doesn't stick.I'm pretty sure all my other preference settings are sticking...it's just Units that won't take. On every launch or New Document, it reverts to Points.I've tried all the combinations, (prefs dump/reset, close/relaunch, reboot, set with document/no document open, set at the rulers, etc., etc,. etc.), I can think of short of uninstall/reinstall...Anyone else see this?
