I am printing film plates-saving illustrator files as ps files. But 'out of the blue', the ps file won't save as the correct specified artwork size. Help?

I bought this file from stock.adobe: 331340559. It specifically says it can be edited.  "100% editable."  I cannot find out to edit this text.

The properties tab (and layers tab) emptied suddenly and I can't get them back. I've been able close and re-open and fiddle them back before, but not this time.  When I switch to the Essentials Classic workspace, they're there and fully loaded. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it?

Hello everyone,I'm having a huge issue with Illustrator, it was working perfectly until the last year, I started to have Ntdll.dll errors (event viewer) , sometimes it shows the "report an issue" dialog and mostly don't.Since that time, I can't have 5 minutes of working without crashes. I have ROG strix G18 laptop, i9 13th , Rtx 4080, 32 Gb ram. I did all instructions given by adobe and nothing happened, the I contacted the customer service to solve it, it took a week of trying (they reached the back end developers) but nothing worked, the only solution was to work on the safe mode. I clean installed windows 11 five times and started a new projects (to avoid any expected corruption in my files) but it's still the same. I changed the main ssd to install windows.I said it's maybe the widows 11 is the problem, so again I clean installed win 10 , unfortunately the same issue, with many new errors in the event viewer. My drivers are all up to date, and I check

Hello.I have been making "paint by number" mosaic tile posters in illustrator. So I transform image to mosaic, collect swatches from the image and then merge them so I get cca 10-15 colors. Then group each color squeres and replace color with appropriate number.The thing that is bugging me is that numbers I apply in the squeres are not always central. I have been using patterns - I create a pattern for each number in the size of my square, then apply each pattern to 1 group of colors.  I can not seem to figure out how to really keep it in the center all the way over the poster (it is cca 5 m long).  Even if it is central in the beginning it slides a bit left towards the end of the graphic. Is there some other, better or more accurate way? Or a pattern treatmant that would allow more accuracy - or just something I dont understand and would help? Thanks for any suggestion or insight if you ever did sth. similar.Tinka

Hi,This issue really needs addressed, as apparently a similar issue has been happening to people since at least 2023. So apparently, my Huion Kamvas 20 works PERFECTLY FINE with Affinity Design (but I hate that program). It also works fine with an earlier version of Illustrator. WHY IS THAT? Oh yes, Disable Wacom--genious! Then how do I use the tablet??? If I try to use the pen display to move the canvas around with the scroll bar, it glitches out and won't stop scrolling endlessly. Works fine if I use the mouse, but that severely handicaps workflow. If my tablet works fine with other programs and even other versions of Illustrator, that tells me there's an issue with ADOBE's idea of new software. All my drivers are updated for my graphics, display, my Huion--and I updated to the most current version of Illustrator. Hi, I'm quite new to Illustrator, but I have experience with Photoshop. I'm struggling here for multiple hours with such a simple task, but it just won't work, so I'm reaching up to you.  I have a group here of Text, 2 Lines and a logo. I used Create Outlines on Text and Trace Image on the Logo. I created gradient, which I want it to be on the surface of everything in the group.I tried to do it through clipping mask, I tried it through Pathfinder. Nothing worked ... When I used clipping mask the gradient disappeared, It was only visible in the layers.   When I tried to use Pathfinder, it had always a problem, that group isn't an single object   

Bonjour, le boulot m'a donné des fichier illustrator qui s'ouvrent en couleurs dans Illsutrator. J'en ai besoin sur photoshop donc je les sauvegarde en PDF avec les options qui s'affichent autamiquement (PJ). Seulement, quand j'ouvre les PDFs sur Photoshop, ils sont noir et blanc en niveau de gris, je ne sais pas pourquoi. Les PDF s'ouvrent bien en couleurs sur Apercu du Mac donc y'a un souci sur comment les formats .AI ont été enregistrés par la personne qui les a crée mais je ne la connais pas.  Je suis coincé car ensuite je dois utiliser ces images comme Objets dynamiques sur Photoshop et du coup, l'option sur photoshop pour changer la couleur de l'objet dynamique 'CALQUE/OBEJTS DYNAMIQUE/MODIFIER LE CONTENU) ne marche pas car le fichier venant d'illustrator ne s'ouvre pas en .PSB sur photoshop comme il devrait. Je ne connais pas grand chose à Illustrator, pourvez vous m'aider à chnager qualequechose dans l'image .AI que j'ai recu pour qu'elles gardent leurs couleurs

Hey Guys, I am an avid illustrator user, i've been using it for more than 10 years pretty much every day. Today I was trying to manipulate a vector image, and when i click on the anchors, there is a light grey line that goes around the object, and does not allow me to manipulate the points. I can still use the control handles on the anchor to manipulate it, but it is like the anchor itself is locked in space. Any object i click on now has the same problem.  Any help would be great.  Thanks,Andrew

I am trying to utilize the image trace in AI. Watching the video on YouTube, "Convert A PNG To Vector", at the 2:44 minute mark, it shows the Starbucks image, then he deselects "Preview" and clicks on then "Trace". Once I deselct "Preview", the "Trace" isn't avaialbe to click. It is greyed out. I have tried several times following along with the video, and I once I close the preview tab, trace is not highlighted.What am I doing wrong?Thanks

Hi all,I'm creating some custom sketch designs for a branding project, and all of a sudden I'm having image tracing issues. I've been sketching using Procreate, using the same brush and exporting as PNGs with the same settings to stay consistent.For reference, I've attached two photos:1) My first illustrations that I've made vector using image trace. They came out great!2) New illustrations using Image Trace. All of a sudden they look like absolute garbage. They come out flimsy and totally innacurate.What seems to be the problem!? I cannot get the image trace to look like my previous sketches and it's really frustrating.Any and all help please, thanks!~Mike

I can move an object while it's filled with color, but as soon as I remove the fill and leave only the outline, the object stops moving. 

Hi, When I try to export images from illustrator using 300 DPI the lines and much of the image come out blurry or not straight. If I send the same illustrator .ai file to a collegue and have them export it the same way at 300 DPI it looks much better. I have the same problem trying to export TIF, PNG and JPG images.  Is there some compression settings within my laptop or defaults that could be causing this? I'm not sure why its a problem from my laptop and not the illustrator file. I also have significantly work resoltuion if I use the export artboard option over the export selection option and I'm not sure why. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

I have a two collumn text box. I would like the Title to span "all" collumns like InDesign. Is this possible?  I created a workflow chart and would prefer not to use muliple text boxes. ...and please don't suggest I build it in InDesign as a correct answer, thank you 😕😕

I have tried finding the answer to this issue, but my search results don't get me anywhere close. My issue is that I create a file, get every single anchor, every handle exactly the way I want it, close the file, open it later, and all my anchor points are completely out of whack. The only way I have found to correct this is to delete the "infected" anchors and recreate the paths. On some files, this requires hours of additional work to fix something that wasn't broken when I saved and closed the file. Below is the most recent, extremely simple example (only a single anchor effected), but it's been happening with far too many files recently. The path shown is saved in its own file, which I bring into other files as needed. The original file's path is fine. The new file with the path is corrupted every time I reopen it. Both files are "embedded" SVGs. Other irritating things happening recently which may or may not be related, is the pop-up upon saving informing me the file has

Is there any way to get an older version of Illustrator? I can't upgrade from Catalina and am not able to access Illustrator currently. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hello,I have a picture of a HD bar and shield, black on white background, and it seems as though the image is embedded in the background? When I select the image, it highlights the whole box, and I can't seem to just select the bar and shield. What am I doing wrong? I am trying to turn JUST the bar and shield to vector file.All help and explanation is appreciated. Alan
