Me confunde: El que dentro de AI el grupo "Myriad Variable Concept" se encuentre disponible, se pueda utilizar y configurar, no obstante que en Adobe Fonts aparece como "Removido" ¿ ... ?El que en Adobe Fonts el grupo que contiene las 40 variantes se llame distinto: "Myriad Pro" y en AI el mismo grupo "Myriad Pro" sólo contiene 1 variante, y el grupo que contiene las 40 variantes, se llame "Myriad Variable Concept" ¿ ... ?Que el orden en el que se presentan las 40 variantes sea diferente en AI y Adobe Fonts, ¿ ... ? Es caótico para comparar lo que se tiene o no instalado, y seleccionar lo que se desea instalar... Por favor: ¿me pueden orientar de la manera más clara y comprensiba posible, sobre qué estoy entendiendo mal, y qué debo comprender para utilizar y gestionar de manear correcta esta fuente tipográfica?¡Gracias!

Hey. I've already created a shape in illustrator, then I went to select the type along a path tool and the message "You must click on a non-compound, non masking path to create text along a path" I'm not sure what else I should be clicking on so that I can use the tool. 

I'm looking for good way to earn money.now I find to this app Adobe illustrator.now I hope that when I learn about graphics then I will b take a good feature with this app Adobe illustrator 

I have an old laptop (GeForce 410M).I want to try some Adobe software.IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW WHAT VERSION WAS THE LATEST!Incredible that old tech is completelty discarded.

I want to layer 2 swatches that I have made the old fashioned way, a rectangle with no outline and no fill. When I tile the blue rectangle swatch in PS on its own the repeat is seamless. When I add another swatch to the AI doc the original no longer tiles seamlessly. I need help. I have been working this way forever and for some reason today it's not working.

HOLA! A MODO DE SUGERENCIA...ESTARÍA BUENO QUE ASÍ COMO EN PHOTOSHOP SE PUEDEN DESCUBRIR LA UBICACIÓN DE LOS DOCUMENTOS EN EL EXPLORADOR DE ARCHIVOS DESDE EL MISMO PROGRAMA... TAMBIÉN SE PUEDA HACER EN ILUSTRATOR!!Pues llevo mucho trabajando documentos en Ai... Y aveces olvido dónde los guardo y simplemente quiero encontrar de forma rápida un documento en el que estoy trabajando... Y toca abrir el Explorador de windows o el maldito Bridge y ponerse a buscar... COSA QUE ES MUY ENGORROSA! Quiero que la próxima actualización... En ilustrator se pueda pinchar un click derecho desde la ventanilla del documento en el que se está trabajando y así al igual que en Photoshop... Podamos darle a Descubrir en el eplorador de archivos. Y PUF! MÁGICAMENTE ENCUENTRAS EL MALDITO ARCHIVO!  ADJUNTO IMAGEN COMPARATIVA!   

  After updating Adobe Illustrator to latest version this morning, I'm getting the error "Illustrator could partially read this file..." when opening .ai files that were created in Corel Draw originally. I've been using this workflow for quite some time now, without any problems.These files were originally created in CorelDRAW and saved directly as the .ai file type. I noticed that it's a text issue. So if my drawings have text, it won't open. If i remove the text, it's fine.This issue only started after the Illustrator update. Any known issues or fixes?    

Went to uninstall/reinstall bc was having some issues but still wanted same version to reinstall   Now earliest version shown to reinstall is 28.0, but want 27.1.1 back.  How can i do this?   thanks!

Every CEP panel I open is blank in Illustrator 29.5. They are fine if I open them in 29.4. It is behaving as if PlayerDebugMode is set to 0, but that's not the case. What's going on? 

Hello everyone,I'm developing a C++ plugin for Adobe Illustrator that uses a TCP socket to communicate with a local or remote server (using asio). This has worked reliably in all previous versions of Illustrator — including 2024 and up to version 29.1 of 2025.However, starting with Illustrator 2025 v29.4, the plugin can no longer establish a socket connection. On Windows, the call to socket.connect() fails with the following error from third party lib:connect: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.On macOS, Illustrator crashes immediately when trying to connect to a socket.After testing across environments and reverting to older versions, it's clear that this is a new restriction introduced in v29.4. It seems Adobe has tightened sandboxing or plugin isolation in a way that blocks network access from third party plugins.Has anyone from Adobe or the community encountered this?Is this an intentional security change?Are there any plans to allow

Hi. I am trying to use the bloat tool to create a 5 petal flower from a regular pentagon. In the Illustrator menu I navigate to EFFECT > DISTORT & TRANSFORM > PUCKER & BLOAT. However, as shown in the screenshot, the result is not symmetrical.  The red stroke is the pentagon stroke to which I am applying the effect. The other shapes are just to show alignment. The stroke is not aligned to the pixel grid and so it should be free to be drawn. We can see that the different petals are different shapes. Admitedly, I am using CS6 but is this the problem? Is there  something I am missing. I like the bloat effect for the type of flower I am trying to create but it needs to be symmetrical. Is there a better way to create the symmetrical 5 petal flower without drawing it?

Is there a way to turn off drop shadow selection?I have been creating some LP elements with a UI style, using illustrator as they're just mock ups, not functional or a realistic snapshot, (maybe Figma would be better easier. Anyway.)There is a lot of overlapping glows and drop shadows, when I'm selecting elements clicking will select the object aboves drop shadow instead. Across multiple elements this can get so confusing.It sometimes doesnt even seem consistent, such as inability to select an object unless selecting the drop shadow portion. 

As you can see here, I have the shape selected and the side bar shows a blue outline with no fill but the shape has a fill. I did not knowingly fill this shape and now I can't un-fill it. It is not grouped or clipped or compounded. Help would be much appreciated!

Hello, I have been working in file and i dont know what i clicked the work has been showing one group item i have clicked as isolated but its not isolated ( i tried to exit the isolation mood  and its not the sulution) as you can see every other art objects are grey or filterd out eccept for the item i clicked by mistakecould you please help to have a normal work file, fyi i can not download newer virsion of the illustrator my macpro is not updated thanks, 

Can open two documents with same fonts where one file  opens up fine but the other file, the type completely reflows.  Both files have same, exact, fonts in them.  Previewing the file (space bar), looks good but when open in type is everywhere.  Turned glyph option off in prefs but didn’t help.  Please any other suggestions?  This is really strange.

After you use draw inside, you can't select object by clicking on the fill. Only by clicking on invisible edges of the shape. And it makes some things complicated if there are some other objects above. is there a way to fix this bug ?

Hello, Please could anyone help me with this shape. The top shape is a filled shape that I need turning into a single stroke so I can change the width of the line. The 2nd image is there to just show the outline when I switch the view mode to make it clear all the lines I'm dealing with. I need to make the orange filled shape as a single stroke line that sits in the centre *not* the outer line.I've watched tutorials, asked Chat GPT but cannot for the life of me do it. I hope that makes sense and any help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks

I've written a workaround for the inability to programmatically put arrowheads on lines. My script creates a numeric label and a line. It checks the current document for the required graphic style that has arrowheads. If it's not found, I present the File dialog so the user can open a "styles" file, in which the arrow graphic style resides. In that file, I generate an arrow by assigning the style to the line, and then select and cut the numeric label and the line with the arrowhead. Then I switch back to the original file and do a paste(). All of this appears to work, except nothing is pasted. It's baffling. If I eliminate the cutting and pasting from the script and do that manually, it works. Also, after the script runs, there's something on the clipboard because Paste is enabled in the menu. Bonjour,Je prépare une impression très grand format (pour un covering de tramway) et je travaille avec un visuel que j'ai fait sur photoshop. Le visuel est une quadrichromie, donc une superposition de trames en ronds. Afin d'obtenir un beau rendu sur le tramway il me semble nécessaire de vectoriser mes trames de couleurs sauf qu'en les passant sur illustrator avec l'outil vectoriser, et avec pleins de réglages différents, mes ronds sont toujours tout déformés et deviennent même des rectangles à quelques endroits. Ma question est donc : Comment vectoriser une trame de demi-teinte en ronds issue de psd en gardant des beaux ronds ronds ? Merci d'avance,  Lilou 

Today I got the updated version of adobe illustrator, there I get to see a new feature of generating vector image by givng ant random prompts. So, when I tried to generate pictures everytime its "cannot generate results due to connection issue. Please check your internet connection and try again". But the thing is I'm having a very good connection of internet service, then why I'm repetedly facing such problem?

Ctrl + C keyboard shortcut needs to be hit between 2-10 times usually before Illustrator recognizes that I did anything. But it's not just keyboard shortcuts. If I click Edit > Cut then click Edit again, the option to paste is greyed out 100% of the time. If I click Edit > Copy, nothing ever happens the first time. After the first time, it seems like a random roll of the die on whether or not Paste is then greyed out under the Edit menu. Usually 2-10 times to get Illustrator to understand that I want to copy something. Only Adobe apps are having this issue. No other software I regularly use is having any issue with the clipboard. I already reset my preferences, disabled "Include SVG Code" in the preferences, closed all other programs running, rebooted, restarted in safe mode. Hello, I have a color with RGB value (20,30,40). The CMYK value of this value is normally (50,25,0,84) but in the illustration, it is seen as CMYK (91,58,64,59) where I wrote this value. What is the reason for this? How can I solve it?

I use image trace to vectorize my hand-drawn sketches. I use the "sketched art" preset. I set corners to "0", expand it, and then use the smooth tool slider. But still I'm left with some sharp, jagged edges, which I do not like. I like curves and round corners. So I have to individually adjust these sharp corners, which can be kind of tedious. Any hints on how I get better results without the sharp corners that I have to correct? Thanks.
