Is anyone else having this issue  - when they try to export artboards into jpeg or png format? I just get the blue spinning wheel of death. Anyone?

Hi everyoneI've been experiencing problems with the autorecovery feature of illustrator since forever. I use it almost everyday and sometimes I just flip my notebook screen down without turning it off. This, off course, leads to times where it turns off by itself due to low battery or similar.As you can imagine I've lost a lot of unsaved files because of this, sometimes I remember to save it and sometimes I don't. I know, I have to be more careful. The problem is that I DO have the auto save feature enabled, configured to save my works every 2 minutes. But I have NEVER been able to recover ANY of the auto saved files. Please, would someone explain me how am I supposed to open these files? Right click-Open with AI is not working, neither does dragging them into the program window. I've also tried adding the .ai extension at the end but it doesn't help at all. Plus, this last work I lost was opened for like a full day (2 days ago) and illustrator never made a auto-save cop

I have an rtx 3060 gpu and recently I have noticed a weird visual flicker bug on adobe illustrator, particulary when zooming back and forth. I have tried disabling GPU rendering but this makes adobe very slow and I don't like it, has anyone else had this issue. I don't think something is wrong with my gpu, this only happens in illustrator

Hello Community,I hope someone here can help, as I’ve spoken with Adobe Support twice with no solution, and the font foundry has stated that they fixed this issue several months ago.The problem occurs with the Gibson font through Adobe Fonts, particularly in Adobe Illustrator. Some letters appear distorted, almost as if they’ve been altered by a pathfinder operation. This affects both workflow and exports to PDF and other image formats, making the font unusable unless manually outlined and corrected.I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:Removing and reinstalling the font multiple timesClearing the font cache (not sure it was done right)Testing across all Adobe applications, including beta versionsThe issue also appears on the Adobe Fonts website, where the web font is rendered server-side and looks incorrect as well (see attached screenshot).However, when I tested on a different PC running Windows 10 (I’m using Windows 11), the font displayed correctly on the Adobe Font

**EDIT**I finally figured out how to use #include instead of file.read();. This solves my immediate problem. However I am still curious as to whether it's possible to do what I'm asking for below, just in case there comes a situation where for whatever reason I cannot simply use #include. For my emails I would like to have an avator containing my own profile picture.One of the things I have to have is a SVG-file. Well, no problem,....................I thought.......I have been trying everything ( I think ) but I just don't seem to get a SVG-file which is accepted. First I tried to upload a JPG-file but this wasn't accepted, it had to be a SVG file already. So I opened the JPG file in Illustrator and converted it to a SVG 1.1 file and uploaded it to the above website. But the result was a blanco file.Then I tried to save the image as a SVG 1.2 Tiny file, but I get an error saying: "The following items could not be exported properly: CLIPS ARE EXPANDED.I have tried a couple of more online converters but either way they gave me a black/white image or an image with very few colors. I downloaded a tool from the BIMI website but I get this error:This SVG file has a <image> element. However <image> elements aren't allowed in SVG Tiny Portable/Secure profile. So ple

I'm trying to design something but I can't for the life of me figure out how do something nor do I know the correct wording/term for what I'm trying to do which makes looking it up really hard. I'm trying to place one object into another one but make still seem legible by seperating it from the second object its placed into. I wish to do this by using Object #1's outline and using it to hide/push away from Object #2. Here's a close example to what I'm talking about notice how the obects inside the flage has an outline thats separtating it from the flag it's inside of? I want to do something like that. I could just use the erase tool and do it manually but I want know/learn how to do it the right way and make it more clean than it would if I did it myself. Even just telling me the correct phrasing for what I'm attemping will help alot.

whenever i use the inflate tool in illustrator, the image turns to white. it only works when each object is individual, but even then, the background turns white. I am not sure how to fix it. im using illustrator '23. pls help 🙏

Hi,I just got a Wacom tablet and was using it on one of my projects. When I try to use the eraser on the pen, it leaves a weird bubble mark where the eraser was used. So I tried the eraser tool to see if it was just my tablet acting up. When I use the eraser tool it does the same thing. I made sure that none of my shapes had a fill color and its worked fine before so I don't know what to do. I've attached pictures to illustrate my problem. The first is when I use the Wacom eraser and the second is when I use the eraser tool in AI. Please help!

Every time I have saved a file on ai after I make changes to a file, lately it creates multiple new files rather than just resaving the original file under the same name. For instance, if my file was named "JoeShmo_NewPckgDesign.ai" and I saved it 3 different times throughout the day, it will not override this same file and save it with the new changes under this name. Instead, three completely new files called "JoeShmo_NewPckgDesign 1.ai," "JoeShmo_NewPckgDesign 2.ai," and "JoeShmo_NewPckgDesign 3.ai" show up on my desktop....? Therefore the file with the highest number becomes the latest edition, rather than the actual one I am working on in ai. This is making me unsure which files I should be deleting. How do I stop this from happening? I am running out of storage on my computer and this new feature is NOT helping....

I've been using Illustrator for a while now (mostly for logo design and vector illustrations), but for some reason I always overlooked this tool until recently. Now, I can't believe I ignored it for so long!The Width Tool lets you adjust the thickness of a stroke at specific points along a path. It's super intuitive — just click and drag anywhere on the path, and it creates these width markers that you can tweak. I'm not sure if this bug still exists in the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator. It's not critical, but it's annoying and can waste time while you're trying to figure out what's wrong. The issue is that when a project contains a lot of guide lines, and you delete one or several of them using Direct Selection instead of Selection, only the lines are removed—while the anchor points at the ends of the guides, as seen in the screenshot, remain.This doesn’t cause any issues during regular work, but when you try to export a large-format image—for example, 5 meters wide at 150 dpi or higher to PNG—the program would crash every time.Experiments showed that for some reason, Illustrator seemed to treat those leftover points as part of the artwork and couldn’t handle the load, especially on a canvas size of 5780×5780 mm, even if your design was much smaller on one side. Pie chart only works in greyscale which is not very usable.If I switch it to RGB or CMYK and apply data to it all sections are are made with foreground color, effectively making a solid circle. This seems like a bug. I can't find information on anybody else having this problem.

Hi there,  I googled this issue and found the member "GAMBOT" having a similar experience with objects randomly duplicating themselves. I followed the suggested solution of resetting Ai preferences, restarting Ai and even rebooting computer. This has not fixed the problem.  When I press ANY key (e.g. Z to zoom in and out to view my work) or click of the mouse, objects and even texts randomly duplicate themselves and are unable to be deleted. Unless, I manually select the object(s) and Edit > Clear. But the objects or texts still manage to repeat the process of duplicating themselves and are unable to be deleted. Hi Adobe team,Could you please consider adding the ability to rotate the canvas in Illustrator the same way it's available in Photoshop? It's incredibly useful for drawing and refining shapes from different angles.Also, it would be great if we could pan the canvas using the Spacebar while actively drawing, just like in Photoshop. Currently, this breaks the flow and makes precise drawing more difficult.Thanks a lot for considering these improvements! Daniel

I have Artboard Options Presets that have inaccurate names (I'm learning the app and made errors), and I would like to delete them, as they confuse me. The dimensions are for Bluesky but the preset label is for Twitter. How can I delete these Presets? I'm using Illustrator 29.3.1 for Mac. Thank you in advance for your help. 

Does anyone know how to export a PDF to DWG to proper scale?

Hi there,I have a Spot colour setup in my library for cutting dielines. However time to time it removes the "Spot" values and changes the spot colour to regular process. Causing dielines to be shown in print. Has anyone else had this issue? Or any solutions?Thanks,   

Normalmente, eu crio um arquivo com várias pranchetas com tamanho diferentes e na hora de finalizar eu exporto tudo junto para ser mais prático. Notei que os arquivos em JPG, PNG ou PSD estão saindo com 1 pixel a mais do tamanho original. Exemplo, a prancheta tem 600x600px e o JPG exportado está com 601x601px. Alguém sabe o que pode estar acontecendo? Valeu!
