Hi all, I installed the new version of AI and the bug I have did not happened on the 2023 version.I have jpegs with masks on them with for example: two at the top, two at the bottom. When I re open the file after saving, all the masked images have been rotated 180 (so bottom right is now top left and rotated 180 deg). I corrected everything manually but it happened again. How do I prevent this bug? My file is unusable after that bug and add a couple of hours to remask everything. Thanks for the your answers 🙂Deb

Hi everyone, i have illustrator CC 2017 hebrew supported on my PC.in the illustrator when i try to type in Hebrew the softwareshows it backwards (mirror word- not mirror characters). on Photoshop i manage to solve the problem - but on the other software i can'tseem to find a way. would really like to find a solution.(I have been try this : Arabic and Hebrew type in Illustrator ) thank you allIdan.

this has been happening for the last couple of times I worked in Ai and its getting on my hair. Ai just keeps de-selecting my selections like 28-30 seconds after I've selected an object (any object; vector or a image). Its really disrupting my workflow and i have checked if its been happening to anyone else. I've checked if there are similar threads but i couldnt find any.

I accidentally saved over an old version of a file, I found other versions in an AIDBTemp folder but the AID file only loads the latest save. Can I use the older files inside datarecovery to somehow access older recovery saves? Basically I was so zoomed in I didn't notice I'd done a select-all and delete at some point more than 200 moves back in the history. Saved over my old work. The computer (iMac 2015) froze while looking in Time Machine (it wasn't set up so no luck there). I did a hard-restart and re-opened Illustrator. It of course only recovered the latest version. It is not on the cloud, no version history.In the datarecovery folder I found a .AID file and several files with time stamps from hours ago before the file was ruined. Of course the program only auto-recovers the latest one. Holding onto hope that one of those still contains the data I need and can be recovered. I've tried just opening the files using Illustrator but no luck. It doesn't recognize them.

Hi! We have a document with many variables that we have all linked. Whenever I upload an updated csv file using "Load Variable Library", I select "Yes" to overwrite the current variables and data sets. But I get an error message that says "The filter cannot complete because of an unknown error." I can only upload a new csv file if I unlink every variable and then relink them after the file is uploaded, even though the file is the same format with the same variables. Any fixes to this??

Hi everyone. I tried to draw isomatric.Top layer is isomatric guides made of stroke and 2nd one is drawing place.The guide is low opacity and I tryed to drarw along it.my problem is that draw a filled solid but smart guides is not woking on the filled solid along the guide.Is it my illustrator setting wrong or someting?My IA is CC 2022

Hello, my files from both illustrator and indesign are printing only in bitmap. In the print dialogue under advanced, I uncheck bitmap, but in the print summary it says it's still active. My printer does have postscript capabilities.  

How do I delete the recent files from Ai when using CC 2017?

So is there no way to access HTTP through Illustrator scripting?  I've tried the one trick I found searching the forums of copying over webaccesslib.dll/netio.dll/coretypes.dll from Bridge but can't get it to work (I just get an 'Error 53: I/O error' when I try to load webaccesslib with the ExternalObject) and according to the Javascript toolkit docs Illustrator doesn't support the Socket object so I can't even write it myself.I need to make a request to a URL to pull in some custom information but so far am at a loss as to how else to do this.

I wish to call an HTTP endpoint from Illustrator Script using JavaScript. I found some references to BridgeTalk, though it didn't help. Please advise

I am curious if anyone knows of a good solution or plugin for Illustrator that will trap CT images to vector backgrounds? We currently use Esko's Power Trapper, but the service is very expensive. Looking for alternatives, but I can't find any. Illustrator has a vector trap under Pathfinder menu, but that doesn't trap images. 

It would be really nice to be able to have an artboard tool that can reshape the artboard into different shapes, other than just a rectangle. It would be nice to have rounded corners, circles, or even star shaped and freehand artboards.  For example - we use rounded corner shapes or ovals (circles) a lot in print. Right now I'm solving everything with clipping paths and overprinted spot color as a diecut guide. If this was automated by just the shape of an artboard, it'd be great. Maybe go step by step and start with rounded corners and circles and then move on to free hand shapes.   Or maybe click on a shape and have a dropdown menu that works like "make guides", but have it be "make artboard".It would work great for digital too, where the artboard would determine the of shape of a transparent PNG for example. (Design a round badge, but have elements go to the edge and over the artboard's edge and in an export, just the artboard shape with transparency would b

So I was working on a project for the past 2 hours and I went to open another document for reference and then the file I had been working on just suddenlyclosed I have autosave on but it didn't seem to work properly and instead of an ai file I have a tmp file that I can't open in illustrator. Hi, I was wondering how I could measure easily and fast the armhole and armscye of sewing patterns ( I usually print them and hand measur them on paper with measuring tape). And I stumbled dwith this post talking about a plug in for fashion designer with a measuring option. I was wondering, is there any plug in that easily makes you grading for sizes? I usually do it by adding the sizes myself, one by one and it takes a pair of days to do it for eadch pattern. Thank you.

I cannot download Illustrator however I meet all system requirements on my laptop and everything is updated. what should I do?

Hello     Created color pallette from a photograph.  Saved it two ways to user defined swatches.  The colors are not there, only the name of the pallette is there.One method I tried:     selected/highlilghted all the colors,  clicked on the hamburger menu, chose Save Swatch Library as AI, Typed in the name and hit Save.Second method I tried:    After highlighting all the colors, clicked on the library icon, then save swatches, put in the name and saved.     Please help me figure out why the colors are not there!
