Hi guys, after recent user request for help with this much discussed Ruler Origin, and after Jacob having to explain how to do it modifying the user prefs, and after Wade having to explain where to find the file, I wrote a script that does all that for us. It moves the ruler origin to bottom/left or top/left on demand, without having to restart Illustrator. The change is global and permanent (until changed back). Dobrý den, jsem tu nový.Chci se zeptat, když si zakoupim předplatné Illustrator Je možné pak obrázky použít ke komerčnímu prodeji jako například tisk hrníčku a jiného materiálu. Případně jak to funguje kdybych si chtěl stáhnout obrázek od jiných tvůrců.děkuji 

I was working with Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 and after opening a separate document it wouldn't let me use any tools and I can't select anything under the Illustrator menu bar. I had clicked the red X in the corner to close it and managed to save my work after it had asked before quitting. But even though the Illustrator screen is gone and won't open, it still says Illustrator is active. I've tried quitting the app and it won't let me, it won't let me update it, or even shut off my Mac because Illustrator is still running. Would anyone know how I can fix this situation as soon as possible?

Hallo, weiss nicht weiter!Habe neustes Illu-Update gemacht und seitdem hängen alle Objekte an der Maus und wandern mit,auch Werkzeugboxen. Trotz De- und wieder Neuinstallation hat sich dieser Effekt nicht verändert.Hatte schon mal jemand dieses Problem, bin im Moment ratlos.   

I created a Type Tool text box, changed the font to the one I wanted, and typed in my text. However, I’m facing two problems:When I try to add more text inside the same text box, the font weight doesn’t stay the same. For example, if the font was set initially to Bold, but when I add new text, the new text I added changes to Medium automatically.The font style changes when I switch to another language and start typing. The font settings I applied disappeared, and the text switched to a different style, even though the font I’m using supports both languages. Please let me know how I can fix these issues.

Hi All I'm sure I'm missing something basic, but every time I try to use image trace all is get is a non-editable (but traced) layer called "image trace" instead of the original image. If I try to select a path, I can only select the whole image. There appear to be no editable paths. I have tried it again and again, followed the written instructions and watched videos but I just can't see what I am doing wrong. Any ideas? Thanks Caspar

I have a large .png graphic that I need to reduce for printing in a book -- but when I do the printing becomes illegible.  Will Illustrator correct for that?

Is there a tool on Illustrator that can EASILY divided a circle into 52 equal slices? I have been struggling with this matter for some time now and I have a dead line coming.

Hello everyone. Would anyone happen to know if it is possible to cut a path at every anchor point quickly? I have been searching for hours and can’t seem to find any good solutions other than a fairly expensive group of plugins made by Astute Graphics. It didn’t make a lot of sense to pay $100 plus per year for these plugins as I only need the one function. Some things I have explored: Using the Scissors, Eraser, and Knife Tools but this gets quite tedious when there are many paths/anchor points to break up. I’ve looked into scripts but this specific script function seems to be outdated and also appears to be similar to the Cut path at selected anchor points option anyways. I have tried using the Direct Selection Tool > Cut path at selected anchor points but if you select all the anchor points (ie. all anchor points in a square) the selected Object type changes from anchor points to a rectangle which automatically removes the Cut path at selected anchor points op

Hi.  I'm new on Illustrator.  I need help please on iLLustrator Web Beta.  I'm trying to move a set of text from a template layer to a new layer. The template layer contains the text and the background color.  How do I do that on Illustrator web?  Not sure which tool to use.  Thank you.

I'm experiencing severe lag in Adobe Illustrator, even though most of my work is not complex. The lag occurs during basic actions like zooming, copying, and pasting. I tried disabling GPU performance, but it only made things worse. My PC should be more than capable of handling this, given the following specs: Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3945WX (12 cores) Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 3060 - 12 GB RAM: 32GB Operating System: Windows 11 I’ve taken several troubleshooting steps, including setting CPU affinity for Illustrator, running stress tests on the CPU, GPU, and other components, but nothing seems to be wrong with the hardware. I've also heard that AMD processors might not perform as well with Illustrator—could that be affecting my experience? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my Adobe Illustrator. I can't download fonts, and whenever I try, it just keeps loading, and nothing happens. - I have tried performing a clean install- All apps are up to date- I tried signing out and in again, but nothing, the problem is still there.  Does anyone know how I can fix that? I can't work properly and I have to deliver work on deadline.  Thank you! 

good morning,I work on Illustrator many hours a dayquite often I need to make invisible something on my drawing board .I know there is the tool inside the Levels window.....but sometime the objects there,  are so many. About a hundred or about thousand objectes. I waste so many time to find it insde the Levels window. question: there are any hotkey that makes my selection invisible? Thank you for your help🙂 

Olá pessoal, boa noite. Estou tendo problemas ao utilizar o atalho de "Criar Contornos" no Illustrator.O atalho original é: shift + ctrl + O. Porém, ao executar, ele não transforma o texto em contorno, por exemplo. Já tentei alterar o atalho para testar, e também não funcionou. Alguém já teve esse mesmo problema?

So I've been using illustrator for some time now and have never had these type of issues, today I continued working on a technical drawing in illustrator and I've noticed that any new lines and shapes that I added appear jagged and pixelated especially compared to rest of the drawing that doesn't display these type of issues. So only the new additions to the drawing are pixelated not the rest. That's why none of the solutions I've found online so far have been helpful... Please, I'm open to any suggestions it's been so irritating

   Hello, I have run into an issue with scrollbars in Illustrator JSX Sxripting. The left image shows a previous version of my code where everything worked perfectly. The list of files was displayed correctly, Scrollable and cropped to fit the intended area.The right picture shows the current version of my code. Whenever I load a large number of files, they extend beyond the bounds of the ScrollView and stretch the UI beyond my computer screen. I drew in a yellow line to show where the list should be cropped. I have asked ChatGPT multiple times for a solution but to no avail. Hello,Updated to the latest version 25.2.1 (on a Mac with Catalina) and something weird started to happen: everytime I switch between apps - Photoshop and Illustrator, for example - the color settings in Illustrator change to "Emulate Adobe® Illustrator® 6.0" without asking and with no reason I can think of, also I never used this setting before and this didn't happen with the previous versions, so I'm gessing it's a bug. I've tried to save the custom settings I normally use, but it still changes back to Emulate if I switch to another app and then return to Ai. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix this? It's getting annoying really fast. 

 I have a question regarding this error, I have an illustration that I want to incorporate into the worksheet but I see that for some reason it is hidden, I think it is a mask, I click on isolate mask but it does not work and when I click ESC it disappears and I have to use the lasso to select it again, attached video   

How do I raise a level to a higher one?strangely not able with with drag and drop .... 

I’m currently using Illustrator version 29.1, and I noticed that the “Find and Replace” option is missing from the shortcut menu. I’d like to assign a keyboard shortcut to this option, as I did in the previous version, but I can’t seem to find it. Has anyone else experienced this issue? And is there a workaround? 

can i use export screen feature in Adobe Illustrator to export a file as a JPG Then make PDF of the JPG file for printing?

I'm running version 26.3.1, my operating system is Windows 10 Pro version 21H1.Every time I place a PNG into an illustrator doc, either CMYK or RGB color space, it turns negative when I reopen the document to work on it. I've made sure it's an 8 bit PNG, doesn't happen to any other image format, and it doesn't matter if the PNG is transparent or not. It happens to both downloaded PNGs and the ones I make myself either in photoshop to remove a background or if I'm exporting a vector image as a PNG to place in a different doc.I've attached a before screenshot, one where I'm looking at the preview from file explorer, and another of what happens to the document when I open it. Any ideas on how to fix it? My work around for the moment is placing PSD files, but with only having so much storage I rather place PNGs.
