Hello, I have a problem, I have 25 drawing boards in illustrator and the file is saved as .ai, I want to export to single pdf for each drawing board, I've done it with export for screens, but the problem is that when I open the created pdf again into illustrator I see again all the 25 drawing boards and not the one that I exported in this pdf, it's very annoying, then I have to delete the drawing boards that I don't need. Anyone has a solution? Thank you!

Hi Guys, I'm reaching out to you because I'm struggling with a problem. Here's the data:1. I have a set of three circles (diameter 485 mm, 490 mm and 495 mm) that are dead-on concentric. Ruler has been zeroed on the center. 2. Their sizes are evenly distributed: +5mm in diameter each time, so 0.25mm in radius from one to the next. This means, the space between the inner and outer circles is 5 mm. 3. There's another small circle at 3 o'clock (5mm in diameter) whose center is vertically aligned with the center of the three big circles. THE GOAL: I need the small circle to be positionned 8° above his original 3 o'clock position, following the perimeter of the circles, so that the small circle remains exactly between the inner and outer circles. THE PROBLEM: When i realize a parametric rotation of 8° using the center of the three circles, the small circle is slightly OFF the inner and outer circles (see printscreens). Hi there I have some difficulties aligning different sized text with the "Vertical Align Bottom" button. Instead of aligning the baseline of the text, it aligns the outlines of the textbox. I have played with "Align to glyph bounds" and "use preview bounds", but nothing seems to work. I also have the feeling that this problem only arose after the update to the new Illustrator version. Does anyone have a tip on how to solve this? 

I will use Adobe Illustrator to create the source files and then export the graphics in SVG format.this SVG file will be part of a widget used in a web page. the widget will allow you to analyze the state of a storage battery and the individual cells.i have never produced SVG files for this purpose. I like to know what the best practices are and if there are any specific tutorials.thx

I need to create a pattern of increasingly flattened sigmoid curves, I tried the arch tool and the blend tool, but so far I haven't found a way of automating it in a way that is clean and doesn't require me manually constructing each curve. Is there maybe a function that can reproduce this result?(I also tried the blend tool with more inbetween steps but it doesn't work, and it doesn't look clean at all) In case this info is needed, a sigmoid curve is an s-shaped graph belonging to the sigmoid function: 

Some Background:I am working on a project involving cards for a board game. The file includes multiple layers, 12 of which are the different pages of cards, and there are 16 cards per page for a total of 192 cards comprising roughly 700 individual text boxes. Lots of copying and pasting and small format changes and handoffs in a file that I've been working in for a decade, so I wouldn't be surprised if the file is corrupted in some way, especially since I have not been able to duplicate the issue in a different file as of yet. The Issue:When working with text boxes (in this PDF file), Illustrator no longer automatically formats the typeface and font of my typing to match whatever formatting I have already assigned to the text box. In other words, let's say I have a text box that says "Happy birthday!" in 12 pt Motiva Sans (italic), but then I double-click the text box and change it to say "Happy freaking birthday!", now "freaking" shows up in 12 pt Myriad Pro (regular) for absolut

Olá pessoal,  De uma hora para outra os meus arquivos que continham imagens com um recorte transparente (feito no photoshop) viraram uma quadrado branco, ou seja, perderam a transparência. E também quando vou mover algum objeto no Illustrator, ele cria um quadro branco ao redor! Alguém tá com esse problema?

I have an issue with PNG files... I don't know how the program interprets the files, or if it's a fault with my video card.Has anyone had something similar happen to them, could you help me? I don't know if I need to fix something in the Illustrator configuration or if it's time to buy a new card (I hope not) 

I've encounted a stange issue in illustrator. I'm working in a file and the colours are randonly shifting. Not just visually on the monitor. But the colour values within the swatches too.  Illustrator 27.9, windows. Screenshots from versions of the same file. All are open simultaneously so this seems to be file specific.V3 is the original.  (Yellow = #FFF200)V4 is where the issue was first noticed (Yellow = #FFD000)V5 is a new file this morning, trying to restore the work and now the colours have shifted again. (Now Yellow = #FFE700)The V3 yellow matches the yellow when you open a new file: I'm working on an A3 sheet but set the template to RGB.The file has not changed to CYMK.  Colour mode still shows RGBColour Settings are the same across all files.No proofing has been activated.Anyone else had this issue? Anyone know how to restore these?  

I'm trying to place copies of a PNG into an artboard to get a uniform background color, but I can't figure out how to blend the color line between the images--which is seen at the bottom of the image which is the bottom of the artboard. Am I having trouble blending because these are PNGs? Thanks for any suggestions.

When I try to start Adobe Illustrator after the most recent updates, when I click the icon to load it, when I go into Creative Cloud to load it, or when I click on an .ai file to load it, I get the blue circle next to my mouse cursor, but it doesn't start. It appears in my Task Manager list -- once for each time I try to load the program! -- but it doesn't bring up the loading screen at all. It just... stops. I have the latest updates for Windows 10, version 21H1. I've used the cleaner tool to completely remove it and when I did, it did start. But then I needed to restart my computer and we're back to not loading. I tried the tool again, and now even that isn't helping. I've searched for the help others have gotten on here. I've tried making the program an exception in my anti-virus. I've tried turning the anti-virus right off and trying to load it. I'm running out of ideas and patience for a program I've paid a lot more for and will apparently have to keep paying for -- I'm payin

I am looking to create a "toothed" line, which is a geologic symbol representing a thrust fault. Thy symbol is simply a line, with triangles on one side to distinguish between up-thrown and down-thrown blocks. To create my custom brush, I placed an equilateral triangle on a line and dragged them into the brushes panel. The attached imaged shows the objects used to create the brush (top) and the result (below).This works reasonably well, however, Illustrator takes the origin of these two objects to represent the origin of the line, whereas I'd like to have the origin of the line stay the same and simply add the "teeth" on top. This is fine for now, and if I really want, I can just add the teeth manually...Is there ay way to change the origin of these two objects to create this brush style?

Hi, I have spent a few hours on Friday workign in a cloud file. I have shared it for review with my colleagues at some point. However the last 3-4 hours of my work are not present in the AI file, last save in the Version history is 3-4 hours prior. My progress is visible in the file, shared for review, but the original is nowhere to be foud. How do I recover my work? I am using Windows 11, latest Illustrator (I updated a couple of days ago).

I saved a png-8 bitmap with a transparent background from PS. When I opened it in Illustrator on my colleague's computer, the background was white. However, when I opened it in my own Illustrator, the background was transparent. I don't know what caused this.

With the artboard tool selected, double clicking on an element will create an artboard to the same size.My question is;Is there a way to make the clicked artboard a specific measurement larger or smaller than the eement that is being clicked?

I've been noticing that text which I add by typing into existing text will sometimes revert to the default font size and format. For example, my default font style and size is currently regular 12-point. Let's say I open an existing design with a text object at condensed 15-point and want to change it from "This is an example" to "This is a sample example". I first use the type tool to place my cursor between the letters of "an", then start typing. Whatever I type will be added in at 12-point regular. Shouldn't newly typed text take-on the existing style and size at the point of insertion? I had previously thought that subsequently-noticed awkward font style and size changes were my mistakes, perhaps the result of neglecting to paste without formatting. The discrepancies were usually very subtle, such as a change from semi-condensed to regular or from 11-point to 12-point. But, I recently noticed the issue occurring immediately after it happened and could reproduce it. Unfortunate

It has become almost impossible to snap objects to a guide using smart guides without scaling it. I have objects that are already at the correct size and I just need them to snap so I can align everything properly. It's not working and it's so essential that this is seriously hindering my work.And yes, I do have them turned on - they happily snap to virtually everything except the guides despite only enabling Smart Guides and Snap to Point. What is happening? Is this a bug in the newer versions?

Hi guys, why doesn't my adobe illustrator relink the files? I do not have the feature that I circled in my attachment shown.

I use the Esc Key to deselect in Illustrator but it suddenly stopped working. Help! heres what I did so far: -checked if it worked everywhere else, yup-restarted the program-updated the app-checked keyboard shortcuts and "deselect" is set as standard Cnrl+shft+A, cannot change it to the esc key thoughI'm using a Mac!

How do I get rid of this new line/ area which has appeared with the latest update of AI (29.2) just above the foot of the screen? 

So Adobe decided witht he most recent update to change how one of the most fundamental tools works.... The eyedropper tool.  The fun part is there is no freaking documentation on the changes of hotkeys, etc. Holding shift now no longer allows you to grab a color from a stroke and apply it to a fill, now instead it grabs a specific color within a gradient, etc. It's a nice feature, but how about you use one of those really annoying tooltip popups or the Home screen (new features section) for something useful for a change and explain how the new version of this 30 year old tool works.Thanks for making my day harder as always.

HiI'm currently using AI on my iPad, over the past 12months it has worked pretty well ip until recently. Whenever I use the colour picker, the fill colour remains black and the item I am trying to colour reverts to transparent with no colour at all.I have tried everything, from switching on/off to reinstalling adobe illustrator but nothing seems to work.
